Russell Wilson's future with the Seattle Seahawks has come into question after recent comments made by the quarterback this week.

Wilson was uncharacteristically blunt in his disappointment with the Seahawks and how the 2020 season ended for the franchise this week during an appearance on the Dan Patrick Show Tuesday (February 9.)

During the interview, Wilson admitted that he was "frustrated with getting hit too much" and said he would like to be involved with personnel decisions, citing Tom Brady's move to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as setting the precent for quarterbacks having more of a voice.

Wilson's comments have reportedly led to more teams reaching out to the Seahawks about a possible trade, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo reported.

Wilson is set to enter the third year of a five-year deal that averages $35 million per year and includes a $32 million cap number in 2021, as well as a no-trade clause, meaning he'd need to approve any potential trade agreement.

CBS Sports listed 13 logical suitors as possible trade destinations for Wilson on Thursday (February 11) which includes the following ranked in order of most likely:

  1. Miami Dolphins
  2. Dallas Cowboys
  3. Indianapolis Colts
  4. Carolina Panthers
  5. New York Jets
  6. Las Vegas Raiders
  7. New England Patriots
  8. Washington Football Team
  9. Chicago Bears
  10. Denver Broncos
  11. Philadelphia Eagles
  12. Pittsburgh Steelers
  13. New Orleans Saints

The Saints and Steelers are both considered the least likely options based on current salary restrictions, as well as the uncertainty of either Drew Brees or Ben Roethlisberger returning for the 2021 season.

The Dolphins, who were also reported to be the most likely trade destination for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, are also favored to land Wilson if Seattle is willing to make a trade with several tradable options and the team's presume uncertainty over former first-round pick Tua Tagovailoa as the franchise quarterback.
