Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield claims he saw something out of this world while in Austin this week.
The Heisman Trophy winner tweeted that he saw and his wife saw "a UFO drop straight out of the sky" and a "very bright ball of light" heading towards Lake Travis on Wednesday night.
Emily Mayfield also shared: "I’m typically not someone who buys into UFO talk. But all I know is... I saw something tonight that I have never seen. And I’m a little thrown off."
Almost 100%, Em and I just saw a UFO drop straight out of the sky on our way home from dinner... we stopped and looked at each other and asked if either of us saw it... Very bright ball of light going straight down out of the sky towards Lake Travis. Anybody else witness this?

Some people on social media speculated that the couple saw part of the SpaceX test launch in South Texas. It's unlikely since that happened earlier on Wednesday.
There's been other high profile UFO sightings in recent days. Last week, an American Airlines pilot reported seeing a strange object flying near the passenger jet when it was in New Mexico.
"I hate to say this but it looked like a long cylindrical object that almost looked like a cruise missile type of thing moving really fast. It went right over the top of us," the pilot said in a radio transmission.
Mayfield was more lighthearted about his UFO sighting than the AA pilot was. The QB joked that UFO he saw was actually on a late-night Whataburger run.
Completely agree... but it wasn’t 11pm yet so I guess they waited in line for their taquitos and honey butter chicken biscuits. Orrrr they’re patty melt fans.. @Whataburger can we get my UFO homies some gift cards?
