A Pittsburgh man was killed while driving for Uber in Sheraden during a spree of shootings in the area over the weekend.

Kristofer Metzger, 35, was found inside his vehicle by police on Zephyr Avenue Saturday (March 6) night, WPXI reports. Pittsburgh Police said Metzger was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene shortly after midnight.

Metzger's brother, Stephen Metzger, launched a GoFundMe page on Sunday (March 7), which confirmed the Pennsylvania National Guard veteran was driving for Uber at the time of his death.

"On Saturday, March 6th, my brother Kristofer Metzger was tragically killed in a senseless shooting while driving for Uber," Stephen Metzger wrote on the GoFundMe page. "Kris was a loving husband and father, you would never catch him without his signature giant smile or goofy grin. He was also a PA Army National Guard veteran and the biggest Pittsburgh fan around. I am not sure he owned anything other than Penguins, Pirates, or Steelers attire."

The GoFundMe page has already raised more than $8,000 of its $25,000 goal as of Monday (March 8) afternoon.

Police has not released any information about the motive or description of a suspected shooter as of Monday afternoon.

Metzger's death was among three reported shootings in the Pittsburgh area, which included a second fatal incident, WPXI reports.

Police responded to a reported shooting in the 7600 block of Frankstown Avenue, Homewood, at around 2:00 a.m. A victim, later identified as Julian Isaiah Carter, 30, was found with a gunshot wound to the head and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police arrested Christopher Papalia in connection to the Frankstown Avenue shooting and court documents said Papalia was wearing a white coat "covered in fresh blood" when he approached officers at the scene and said "I was the guy in the fight" and "I shot him."

A separate incident was reported in the 7200 block of Tioga Street, Homewood South, at around 11:05 p.m. A juvenile boy was found with a gunshot wound to the rear of his left leg, but conscious and alert when officers arrived at the scene.

The child was transported to a local hospital by local medics and reported to be in stable condition, WPXI reports.
