A photo of Macaulay Culkin on the set of 'American Horror Story' on Cape Cod went viral on Wednesday (March 10.)
Creator and producer Ryan Murphy, who has ties to the New England area, shared a photo of Culkin locking arms with actress Leslie Grossman on his Instagram account with the caption, "Something wicked this way comes. American Horror Story Season Ten. #AHS10 #AHS."
Other actors from the series have already been spotted around the area since 'American Horror Story: Pilgrim' began production in New England on March 1 following numerous delays.
Murphy announced plans for his show to film its 10th season in Provincetown, Massachusetts in January, PTownie.com reports.
However, Provincetown director of tourism Anthony Fuccillo confirmed the exact filming dates changed numerous times, with Twentieth Century FOX re-approaching the town last November and submitting potential agreements to film the show from January 25 to March 13, which changes taking place due to cast availability, Boston.com reports.
Staff, writers and actors have reportedly rented houses in the area, Us Magazine reported in January. The 'Pilgrim' cast is expected to include Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Macaulay Culkin, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Evan Peters and others.
“All of the cast, writers and production have rented houses there,” the source told Us Magazine in January. “All the houses are very close together. They should all be able to hang out and house-hop very easily! One of the main writers has a big house right on the beach.”
Murphy, who owns an art studio in Provincetown with his husband, photographer David Miller, received approval to film the upcoming season of 'American Horror Story' from the Select Board during a January 11 board meeting, WickedLocal.com reports.
The January application did not list any of the actors expected to appear as castmembers for season 10, but did specify filming would follow strict safety guidelines amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
20th Century Studios said cast and crew will be tested for the coronavirus three times a week and will be required to wear personal protective equipment on location, excluding when actors are on camera.
