Lana Del Rey may have just released her seventh album, Chemtrails Over The Country Club, on Friday (March 19), but that doesn't mean she's not ready to release even more music. Over the weekend, the singer-songwriter revealed that her eighth album, Rock Candy Sweet, isn't only in the works — it's coming out in just a couple months.

Over the weekend, LDR took to social media to announce the new project and it's release date: June 1.

She added more details on Instagram Story, sharing a screenshot of a Harper's Bazaar article title "Lana Del Rey Can't Qualify Her Way Out Of Being Held Accountable."

"Just want to say thank you again for the kind articles like this one and for reminding me that my career was built on cultural appropriation and glamorizing domestic abuse," she wrote sarcastically on top of the article's text. "I will continue to challenge those thoughts on my next record on June 1 titled Rock Candy Sweet."

See her announcement post below.

LDR most recently found herself under scrutiny for Chemtrails' album cover: a black-and-white photo of herself and a group of women congregated around a table laughing. After receiving backlash, the singer quickly defended herself.

"As it happens when it comes to my amazing friends and this cover yes there are people of color on this records [sic] picture and that’s all I’ll say about that,” she wrote at the time, noting some of the women are “my beautiful friend Valerie from Del Rio Mexico, my dearest friend Alex and my gorgeous friend Dakota Rain as well as my sweetheart Tatiana. These are my friends this is my life. We are all a beautiful mix of everything- some more than others which is visible and celebrated in everything I do. In 11 years working I have always been extremely inclusive without even trying to.”

“My best friends are rappers my boyfriends have been rappers," the singer added. "My dearest friends have been from all over the place, so before you make comments again about a WOC/POC issue...I’m literally changing the world by putting my life and thoughts and love out there on the table 24 seven. Respect it.”
