Jay-Z is continuing to make history — this time in the trading card world!
Over the weekend, an autographed trading card signed by the music mogul sold for over $100,000, breaking the record sale for a non-sports trading card.
“This is a public service announcement…a Jay-Z Topps Chrome Superfractor RC Autio 1/1 just sold for $105,780 via @goldinauctions," SlabStox Sports Card Trading announced on Instagram Saturday (March 20). "That marks the all-time record for a non-sports/TCG card."
According to Goldin Auctions, the Jay-Z autographed card was previously at a bid of $2,200 before ultimately making its way up to the grand total of $105,780!
As fans know, Jay-Z isn't the only history-maker in the Carter family. Just last week, his wife, legendary entertainer, Beyoncé, and his daughter Blue Ivy made history at the 2021 Grammy Awards.
Queen Bey became the most-awarded singer in Grammy history with a whopping 28 Grammys and Blue became the second-youngest Grammy recipient, earning her first Grammy at the tender age of nine.
Talk about a house full of legends!
