Employers in San Diego are more likely to allow remote work than companies located in other California cities, and even nearly the rest of the nation, reports the San Diego Union-Tribune.

This information comes from a report put together by a venture capital firm Telstra Ventures in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The group evaluated over 250,000 job ads posted across the nation from March through May.

Their findings showed San Diego was much more friendly to remote work than its neighboring cities.

26% of jobs posted by San Diego companies were remote-friendly compared to 18% in Silicon Valley and 14% in Los Angeles.

San Diego ranked No. 2 compared to the other 27 tech hubs throughout the U.S. Columbus Ohio ranked the most friendly city to remote work and Houston, Texas was the least friendly city.

“For us to get the right talent, we need to try to find the best candidates on a national and international level,” Saad Siddiqui, principal at Telstra Ventures, told the Union-Tribune.

The analysis also broke down which positions were most likely to have remote work options.

Software engineers were the most likely to work remotely followed by positions in product, design, marketing, and sales.
