An argument over fireworks turned deadly Monday night in West Seattle, according to Q13 FOX.

Seattle Police said a shooting left a 22-year-old man dead and three more injured at Alki Beach. Officers got 911 calls around 11:56 p.m. regarding gunfire and a man with gunshot wounds, according to a probable cause statement. The man, identified as Tilorae Shepherd, died at the scene, officials added.

"He was a good, hardworking man with children," Shepherd's mother, Tunisia, told The Seattle Times Wednesday (June 30). "I’m grieving the loss of my son."

A man, who suffered a gunshot wound to his legs, told police he saw someone shoot Shepherd in the face during a dispute over fireworks, according to reporters. There were also reports of multiple people firing weapons, and investigators are trying to figure out how many.

Q13 FOX learned a 19-year-old suspect was taken into custody and identified as the shooter by the injured man. A King County District Court judge found probable cause to hold him on investigation of homicide, The Seattle Times wrote.
