Wild Video: Woman Twerks On Top Of Detroit Police Cruiser Outside Of Party

A viral video posted on social media shows a woman dancing on top of a Detroit police cruiser in the middle of a large crowd.

According to FOX 2, the situation happened during a party on Detroit's east side where hundreds of people were in attendance. Interim Detroit Police Chief James White addressed the incident during a press conference on Monday (August 9). In response as to why police did not do anything about the woman using the vehicle as a dance floor, White said, "They did exactly what we are asking them to do, practice restraint."

The video was posted on Facebook by a user named Joshua Richardson, FOX 2 reported. In the video, you can see the woman twerking and dancing on top of the car while hundreds of people gather around and record her.

White noted that the Detroit police had crowd management teams at the party when the crowd began to surround the police vehicle. "Had they driven off with this young lady on the very top of the car dancing, had they drove off and she rolled off and was injured, then I would be asking the question, 'Was that the right decision to make?'"

Police are investigating to make sure the officer followed the proper policies. "Based on the facts and the circumstances he was dealing with, with over 100 people surrounding his car, and choosing not to drive through the crowd with a person on the roof of the vehicle dancing, I think he's officer of the quarter based on what I've seen," White said.
