A very good boy made his baseball debut on Tuesday in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Turbo the golden retriever got to put his sports skills to the test as the official bat dog for the Bowling Green Hot Rods after spending more than a year on the sidelines.
The bat dog became an overnight sensation after being allowed to retrieve a bat during the third inning of the Hot Rods game against the Greenville Drive.

Turbo joined the team in December 2019, but like other athletes in Minor League Baseball, his 2020 season was derailed by the pandemic. But that was no problem for the adorable pup, whose first pro appearance was a home run for the the Bowling Green crowd.
Turbo's appearance also happened to be a good luck charm for the Tampa Bay Rays affiliate because the team went on to win 9-7 despite trailing before Turbo took the field.

He even got a shout out from Big League Chew. If any rookie player deserves his own baseball card, it's definitely Turbo.
That’s a good boy if I’ve ever seen one 🐶
