Selena Gomez Confirms She's Working On A New Album

Days after teasing a collaboration with Camilo for their track "999," Selena Gomez confirmed she is working on a new album.

During an interview for her new Hulu show Only Murders in the Building, the "Lose You To Love Me" singer said she is "very excited" about working on new music.

"I'm starting to work on a new album right now so I'm really excited and have so much to say," Gomez said. "I'm very lucky ... because I love doing what I do and I wouldn't be able to do it if it weren't for amazing people ... and those who are fans. So I'm very happy to be a part of all of the things I can do."

Earlier this year, the Rare Beauty founder suggested she planned to retire from music after giving it "one last try," but recently walked back the comments, adding that she doesn't think she'll ever quit making music.

"I'm not saying I want a Grammy," she said in an interview with Elle. "I just feel like I'm doing the best I can, and it's all about me. Sometimes, that can really get to me."

On Monday (August 23), Gomez announced she was releasing her new single "999" in collaboration with Camilo, which drops Friday. On Wednesday, she shared a sneak peak of the accompanying music video.
