These Tennessee Cities Are The Best In The U.S. For Dog Lovers

If you have a dog, you know it can be difficult to find apartments that allow pets or homes that are close to areas with plenty of green space and dog parks where you can spend time outside with your furry friends. Some cities in the country are more pet-friendly than others, and one recent study highlighted the best and worst for dog lovers.
LawnStarter recently released a report comparing nearly 200 of the biggest U.S. cities to find the most dog-friendly towns in the country. While several Florida and California cities landed in the top of the list, but plenty in Tennessee also made the cut.
Here are the Tennessee cities that are among the best in the U.S. for dog lovers.
- No. 17: Murfreesboro
- No. 19: Clarksville
- No. 29: Knoxville
- No. 37: Chattanooga
- No. 94: Nashville
- No. 184: Memphis
According to LawnStarter, Tennessee was a "rare breed" when it comes to how dog friendly it is compared to other states. Murfreesboro, the highest-ranked city in the state, even has more dog-friendly rental housing than any other city on the list. As the report says, "Whether you're giving your dog a home for the first time or rehoming them, Tennessee's doors will be open."
