West Jordan Police arrested a man for running naked from a motorhome that he allegedly set on fire, reported 2 KUTV. The suspect was later identified as 43-year-old Owen Tyler Dellinger.

According to an arrest affidavit, the incident took place on September 27th. Police got a call about a fire from a witness. The fire was engulfing a motorhome on the back of a property.

Once police arrived, a male suspect was seen running into the area of a canal behind the property. Officers found the man and said that he was completely naked, according to the probable cause statement.

Police caught the man, but he later escaped while he was handcuffed and ran from the police a short term later.

Gas cans, a shovel, and other suspicious items were found in Dellinger’s truck and around the motorhome. The fire crew member was also helping to transport Dellinger to the Jordan Valley Hospital for medical attention.

Dellinger was arrested and booked into jail for charges of aggravated arson, lewdness, propelling a bodily substance, and other potential charges.
