A scaffolding collapsed in San Francisco on Sunday morning (October 24), according to KRON.

The scaffolding collapsed at Natoma and 9th streets in the SoMa neighborhood just after 7:00 A.M.

Authorities announced they were shutting down the street between 8th Street and 9th Street and Natoma Street while they cleaned up the aftermath of the collapse.

According to KRON, no injuries were reported and no other details were immediately available.

The heavy rain and intense winds that slammed into San Francisco on Sunday was likely the cause.

Neighborhoods throughout the city struggled with downed trees, scaffolding collapsing, and some flooding as an "atmospheric river" moved into Northern California over the weekend.

According to NBC7, some minor damage was done to the building from the collapsed scaffolding. Crews were still cleaning up the damage well into Sunday evening.

A large tree was also uprooted and crashed down on an occupied vehicle in the Presidio. Luckily, the San Francisco Fire Department reported that nobody inside the car was injured.

San Francisco Fire and Public Works crews were reportedly responding to calls of broken tree limbs and fallen trees throughout the day.

“We have trees threatening homes. We trees blocking roadways. We have wires down. This was something we were expecting with this storm,” said Rachel Gordon with San Francisco Public Works.
