San Diego County Gas Hits Highest Price Since 2012

The average price of a gallon of regular self-serve gasoline recently hit $4.67 in San Diego County, making it the highest amount since October 12, 2012, according to FOX5.

However, on Monday, November 29, the county's average gas price remained the same, ending a 19-day streak of increases totaling 12.5 cents.

According to data from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service, the average price rose by one-tenth of a cent six of the seven previous days, including Sunday, November 28.

The current price is nine-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 14.5 cents higher than one month ago, and $1.512 greater than one year ago.

The average price is also just 5.5 cents away from hitting San Diego County's all-time record high of $4.725 which was set on October 8, 2012.

While prices are high in the county, it's nothing compared to one California gas station which reached $7.59 for regular unleaded gas and $8.50 for premium in late October.
