The cause of death for the ten victims that died during Astroworld crowd surge has been revealed.

According to the medical examiner, each victim suffocated to death in a crowd surge that crushed their lungs --- with the official cause of death listed as "compression asphyxia." The report also states that each victim was pronounced dead upon reaching local hospitals, adding that only one of the ten had a "contributory cause" to his death, which was the result of the combined toxic effects of cocaine, methamphetamine and ethanol.

The news comes one month after Travis Scott's annual festival left over 300 concertgoers injured and ten deceased. The star has since apologized publicly for the incident and offered to pay the funeral costs of the victims. However, he, along with Live Nation and other promoters, are facing billions of dollars in litigation for negligence and wrongful death.

The investigation on what failures led to the tragic incident still continues. More details to come.
