California Is The Best State For Singles, Here's Why

Looking for love? California is one of the best states in America for single people, according to a new study by WalletHub.

According to the personal finance website, "Besides your looks, personality, interests and employment status, your location can influence your odds of finding a romantic partner. Everyone has different priorities when searching for love, but certain places simply make dating easier than others."

So why is California better than any other place when it comes to finding love?

In order to determine the best and worse states, WalletHub compared all 50 states across three key dimensions: Dating Economics, Dating Opportunities, and Romance & Fun.

To gauge how romantic and fun a state was, WalletHub looked at the number of restaurants, attractions (museums, zoos, anything that's not nightlife), nature parks, movie theaters, amusement parks, music festivals, and access to bars.

California has some of the most online-dating opportunities and most restaurants and movie theaters per capita, making it a breeze to plan a date during the ongoing pandemic.

They also took into account the crime rate and specifically cybercrime rate to determine online dating safety.
