The first video footage from inside Robb Elementary School during the deadly shooting has been released.

The Austin American-Statesman and KVUE reporter Tony Plohetski obtained the video footage that shows officials waiting in the hallway as the gunman opens fire in the Uvalde school.

KVUE edited the footage, which is over an hour long. It shows the gunman crashing his truck outside the school and then entering Robb Elementary. The gunman is then seen carrying his gun through the school's hallway. The gunman is then seen shooting toward a classroom before entering it. In the video, you can hear students and teachers screaming.

The video footage also shows law enforcement officers enter the school hallway about three minutes after the gunman did. After opening fire, the officials are seen retreating toward the end of the hallway.

It took law enforcement over 70 minutes to enter the classroom, according to the video footage.

The release of the video comes as law enforcement officials are under investigation for their response during the shooting, where 19 children and two teachers were killed.
