The Liberty Bell is, unsurprisingly, being credited as the most historic landmark in Pennsylvania.

Reader's Digest compiled a list of the most historic landmark in each state, which included the iconic symbol of independence placed outside Independence Hall as the top choice for Pennsylvania.

"Let freedom ring (literally) with a stop at the Liberty Bell in downtown Philadelphia," Reader's Digest's Amanda Tarlton wrote. "After you get an up-close look at the iconic cracked bell, which is inscribed with the phrase 'Proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof,' tour Independence Hall, where the bell originally was housed. Here you can step into the room where both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were signed in the late 1700s."
