The Stockyards in Phoenix seems like any other restaurant, but it actually has a haunted history. The Phoenix New Times reported that the eatery has had come pretty strange happenings that can't be explained.

One employee, Veronica Rodriguez, comes in once everyone else has left as part of a two-person cleaning crew. She was responsible for cleaning the bar , named the 1889 Saloon, and the Rose Room, a smaller private dining room next to the Saloon.

Rodriguez said she was alone in the Saloon when she heard the sound of two notes being played on the piano in the Rose Room. She said, "It was like ‘bing, bing,’ and I stayed still. I went around the piano to see what it was. I thought maybe it was a critter or something, but nothing."

Rodriguez asked Luis if he had gone back there. She said, "I knew he didn't. but Iw as trying to make it make sense in my head. And, oh, my hairs stood up."

Owner Gary Lasko said, "This was a huge packing slaughterhouse. A lot of souls here."

Lasko said his first ghostly experience happened on a Saturday morning. He walked in and heard a voice clearly shout, "Hello!"

Lasko said, "I wondered, how'd they get in? Did I lock the door in the back? I looked, and no one was there. I looked all over and couldn't see anybody. It kind of freaked me out."
