The Swifties are not okay, in the best way possible! "I do NOT apologize for the person I will become once midnights by Taylor Swift is released," @swifterous wrote in a viral Tweet on Midnights eve (October 20th).

Swift also got a little sentimental ahead of the release, writing to fans, "Midnights is a collage of intensity, highs and lows and ebbs and flows. Life can be dark, starry, cloudy, terrifying, electrifying, hot, cold, romantic or lonely. Just like Midnights."

At midnight sharp on Friday, October 21st, Swift unveiled her highly-anticipated tenth studio album to much fanfare. Just hours before the drop, the singer-songwriter revealed that Midnights is basically a visual album, meaning every song will have a music video starring her, actress Laura Dern, and the HAIM sisters.

As if that wasn't enough chaos for the early morning, at 3:00 A.M., Swift revealed that the "special very chaotic surprise" she hinted at was 7 completely new songs. She took to Twitter to announce the Midnights (3am Edition). "Surprise! I think of Midnights as a complete concept album, with those 13 songs forming a full picture of the intensities of that mystifying, mad hour. However! There were other songs we wrote on our journey to find that magic 13. I’m calling them 3am tracks," she explained.

Swifties were beside themselves at all of these surprises, especially because many of their theories about the upcoming release proved to hold some weight. Fans theorized that Swift would be dropping more music in tandem with Midnights and they also guessed that the singer holding her phone upside down during the tracklisting announcements meant they would be getting lots of music videos.

All that to say, there's a lot to react to and fans (even some famous ones) headed to Twitter to cope. Check out all of the best and funniest fan reactions to Midnights below:
