According to the National Weather Service, there's a chance of thunderstorms possible later this week. My San Antonio reported that a cold front could bring storms and possibly even a tornado to the San Antonio area on Friday, November 4th.
The cold front will likely bring hail, straight-line gusty winds, and thunderstorms. Tornadoes cannot be completely ruled out.
NWS meteorologist Bob Fogarty said that the primary threat will happen on Friday night, especially north of Interstate 10. The severe storms should be gone by Saturday morning, November 5th.
Heavy rainfall is possible, but flash flooding is not anticipated, according to the NWS.
NWS Austin/ San Antonio wrote on Twitter:
"Warm and humid weather will continue into late this week, with a round of showers and thunderstorms expected to arrive late Friday into early Saturday. A few storms may be strong to severe. Temperatures will stay at or above climatological normals through the upcoming weekend."
