WATCH: Smoke Fills Plane Cabin On Flight From Atlanta To Los Angeles

Delta flight 2846 was flying from Atlanta on its way to Los Angeles when something very unexpected occurred. According to WSB-TV, smoke began to fill the cabin as alarms went off throughout the plane during the flight. A passenger was able to record video of the incident before the plane made its emergency landing in Albuquerque.
WSB-TV detailed that the passengers on the plane remained calm as the crew took all necessary precautions to make sure that everyone was safe while landing. Delta released a statement following the incident that outlined concern for their customers and gratitude for their staff.
“Nothing is more important than the safety of our customers and crew. That’s why our flight crew followed procedures to safely divert today’s flight 2846 to Albuquerque. Delta teams are working to get our customers on their way later this afternoon and we apologize for the delay in their travel plans,” WSB-TV obtained in a statement from Delta.
Passenger Matt Johnson took to Twitter to share the video of the incident that he took from his seat.

WSB-TV mentioned that no information was released regarding just how long the passengers had to wait in Albuquerque before making it to Los Angeles. There were no injuries reported as the FAA continues to investigate the cause of the malfunction.
