Arizona Cardinals tight end Zach Ertz will reportedly miss the remainder of the 2022 NFL season due to a knee injury, sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to NFL Network Senior Insider Ian Rapoport on Monday (November 14).
"Sources: #AZCardinals TE Zach Ertz has suffered a season-ending knee injury. A brutal reality for Arizona and its veteran," Rapoport tweeted.
Ertz was seen wearing a knee brace during the Cardinals' 27-17 win against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday (November 13) after being carted off the field.
The veteran tight end recorded one catch for 12 yards prior to exiting Sunday's game and 47 receptions for 406 yards and four touchdowns through his first 10 games of the 2022 NFL season.

Ertz signed a three-year, $31.65 million extension with the Cardinals this offseason after being acquired by the franchise in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles midway through the 2021 season.
The former Stanford University standout was selected by Philadelphia at No. 35 overall in the second-round of the 2013 NFL Draft and was a three-time Pro Bowl selection, which included the 2017 season in which the Eagles won their first Super Bowl in franchise history.
Ertz is also the husband of USWNT midfielder and former U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year Julie Ertz, who gave birth to their first child earlier this year.
