Fans of the hit television show Yellowstone are gearing up for the drama in season 5, but the show's production crew is headed to Texas to film some more.

The show, starring Kevin Costner, will be filming in North Texas on Tuesday (November 15th). Texoma's Home Page reported that the mayor of Venus, James Burgess, told users in the Venus Express Facebook group to watch out for traffic delays due to the filming.

The mayor wrote, "Yes, Yellowstone is coming to Venus. Yellowstone will be filming in Venus Tuesday November 15th. Traffic will be blocked at time. It is suggested to avoid driving in the downtown area. Please consider alternative routes."

Burgess did not give any additional information about what the show would be filming, but did say that the scene requires a stage, a podium, and 150 extras. 500 people reportedly signed up to be extras.

Venus is located about 31 miles southwest of Dallas and has a population of 4,361 as of 2020. Yellowstone isn't the first show to use the town as a filming location. The town has been featured in Walker Texas Ranger, Bonnie and Clyde, Trip to Bountiful, and Born on the 4th of July.
