A Southwest Airlines pilot flying out of Long Beach California helped a passenger retrieve their phone before taking off on Sunday. According to a Southwest Airlines Facebook post, a few employees ran out a passengers phone when they realized that the item was left behind in the airport. Video taken of the even shows the airport employees holding the phone up to the plane window from the ground. The pilot can be seen extending his hand down the window with the phone being just out of reach. To reach the phone, the pilot hangs out of the window.

Southwest Airlines took to Facebook to share video footage of the event and to describe the dedication of the pilot:

"When our Employees at Long Beach Airport noticed a Customer's phone left behind in a gate area after a flight that was already boarded and pushed back from the gate, they didn't hesitate. They quickly passed the phone to our Ramp Agents, who jumped it up to the Captain to get it back to the Customer. #WorldKindnessDay," the post read.

In the end, the extra effort was worth it, not only to get the passenger their phone, but to show just how much Southwest really cares about their customers.
