Saweetie is reassuring the world that she's moving on from her past drama to focus on the single life.
On Friday, November 18, the Grammy nominated rapper followed through on her promise to drop a new EP ahead of her debut album. Her new collection of songs called The Single Life features six new songs including "Don't Say Nuthin'," which she first debuted at Rolling Loud in Miami earlier this year. The track has fans convinced that she addressed her ex and the drama that unfolded last year when she posted a photo of herself sitting on an unidentified man following her breakup with Quavo.
"Why n***as always speakin' on who I'm f**kin' on?" Saweetie raps in the song. "He must've got excited when I FaceTimed with nothin' on/Them same lips that's yappin' be the ones I nutted on, A hunnid K, please, know how much paper I be touchin' on?/That's light, better check my net worth, Post a pic in his sweatshirt/I bet it have my ex hurt, That's what I get for kissin' on these frogs/He got mad and told my business to the blogs."
Fans believe Lil Baby is the man she was sitting on after rumors began to circulate that he spent $100,000 on her at a Chanel store last year. She appeared to address that part of the drama in the song as well. Her new project also has tracks like "Handle My Truth," "P.*.S.S.Y" produced by J. White, and "No Reception." Saweetie recently spoke to Complex about the inspiration behind the latter record.
"'No Reception' is me venting about my experiences this year," Saweetie explained. "On the scene, behind the scenes. I dealt with a lot of s**t that no one knows, and I’m not the type to tweet and express my personal pain. I’m just not that type of person, so it’s me getting a lot of s**t off my chest."
