Opening Date Of First Voodoo Doughnut Location In Texas Revealed

San Antonio will be home to the first Voodoo Doughnut location in Texas — and it's opening sooner than you think!

The 24-hour donut shop is set to open at on Houston Street on Tuesday, December 20 at 8 a.m., the business shared on social media.

The first 50 guests in line will receive free T-shirts. But don't worry — if you're not one of the first people in line, opening day will be filled with tons of surprises and entertainment! "Join the festivities and get a taste of that Voodoo Magic on historic Houston Street!" the company said.

We previously reported on the new Voodoo Doughnut location back in June. The Portland favorite reportedly hired 75 employees who will all be paid "well above minimum wage."

"There's electricity when you walk down that street," CEO Chris Schultz said over the summer. "I think not it's kind of come off of the River Walk and onto Houston I think where we're going to be is great- it's central for the River Walk, the people from the Alamo, the Convention Center. It's kind of that hub where everyone's walking and going."

Voodoo Doughnut in San Antonio is located at 400 E. Houston Street.
