Living alone can be difficult, especially during the holidays, but depending on where you live, you could be in like company with other people choosing to go solo.
Using data from the U.S. Census Bureau, Chamber of Commerce analyzed more than 170 cities with a population of at least 150,000 to determine which cities are the "loneliest" cities in America, or which cities have the most people living alone. According to the report, Knoxville has over 34,000 one-person households, with 16.4% of men and 23.9% of women living alone. As for other Tennessee cities that may have a high percentage of residents living alone, Nashville wasn't included in the report as 2016-2019 data was not available.
