A fourth man who was charged in connection with XXXTentacion's murder took the witness stand to testify against his co-defendants.

On Wednesday, February 8, WPLG Local 10 in Miami reported that Robert Allen appeared on the second day of trial to deliver his testimony for the State. Allen told the jury how he and three other men Trayvon Newsome, Dedrick Williams and Michael Boatwright ambushed the Florida rapper on June 18, 2018. In addition to his added perspective, the jury also watched surveillance video taken by security cameras at the RIVA Motorsports in Deerfield Beach. Allen said he witnessed Michael Boatwright fire the deadly shots at XXXTentacion.

“As he’s grabbing the bag shots are fired," Allen testified.

“Who shoots the shots that are fired?” prosecutor Pascale Achille asked.

“Michael Boatwright,” Allen replied.

“And who does he shoot?” Achille followed up.

“Triple X," Allen confirmed.

Allen decided to plead guilty to second-degree murder last year after he was arrested for being in the vehicle while the crime was in progress. Police believe Boatwright was the shooter who killed the rapper while Newsome was the other alleged gunman. Williams is believed to have been the driver of the SUV used to block the rapper's car. The three men face first-degree murder charges and could receive life sentences if convicted.

Allen wasn't the only witness the jury heard from. Leonard Kerr, the family friend who was with X in the BMW sports car when he was shot, described the entire incident. Kerr said that their car was blocked by a SUV before two men with guns hopped out of the vehicle. The taller man pointed a gun at him and told him not the leave the car. That's when the men began to rip the chain off of X and attempt to steal his money. Kerr said that's when he decided to escape.
