Kodak Black is back in hot water after an arrest warrant has been issued in Florida.
According to a report TMZ published on Saturday, February 25, a judge signed off on the arrest warrant on Thursday before it was filed at a Broward County court the following day. The warrant was issued after the Pompano Beach native reportedly failed a drug test. 'Yak first raised suspicions when he didn't show up for his random drug screening on February 3. The "Super Gremlin" rapper did submit a sample the following week on February 8, but it reportedly came back positive for traces of fentanyl.
Kodak Black was arrested last July for possession of a controlled substance with prescription and trafficking after police found nearly 31 oxycodone pills in his vehicle during a traffic stop in Fort Lauderdale. He was released on a $75,000 bail and had to pass random drug tests. According to his lawyer Bradford Cohen, the pills were prescribed by a doctor to take for chronic pain resulting from the injuries he sustained from a shooting that happened last year, and a beating he got in 2020 from prison guards before he was released.
In court documents, the judge instructs any sheriff deputies to arrest the rapper if they come across him. He's also been ordered to be held without bond until his next hearing regarding the case from last year. As of this report, Kodak Black has not been picked up yet. While his Instagram Stories had been active up until yesterday, neither Kodak nor his lawyer have spoken on the situation.
