Tim McGraw wants to collaborate on stage with *NSYNC again, “if the rumors are true.”

The country music giant reacted to a throwback clip of a performance with the beloved 90s boy band — made up of Justin TimberlakeJC ChasezJoey FatoneLance Bass and Chris Kirkpatrick — when they teamed up on a rendition of “Stand By Me” in 2001.

“That was pretty awesome,” McGraw said as he rewatched the video and shared his reaction in a video posted on Instagram on Wednesday (September 13). the performance was “better than I remembered it being, especially with those guys. I mean, I was nervous as heck trying to sing with those guys. ...I remember that night we all went gambling. I remember asking them, I said, ‘are you guys old enough to gamble?’ I felt like the old man with those (guys), like I was corrupting them or something. But it was fun. It was a highlight of my career singing with those guys.”

Some of McGraw’s Instagram followers gushed over the memory from over two decades ago. His eldest daughter, Gracie McGraw, commented: “Omg!!!!!!!!!! I remember this so clearly.” She also posted a throwback photo of her own with *NSYNC on Wednesday.

*NSYNC reunited on the 2023 MTV VMAs stage on Tuesday evening (September 12) for the first time in about a decade. The crowd went wild as the iconic group stepped out on stage (set to their smash-hit “Bye, Bye, Bye”) and presented the Best Pop award to pop megastar Taylor Swift, presenting her with friendship bracelets when she met them on stage. Last month, they were rumored to reunite for a song in the upcoming Trolls movie, which stars Timberlake. Earlier this year, Bass said an *NSYNC reunion was possible and that they “owe it to fans.”
