As Katy Perry prepares for her final show as a judge on American Idol, host Ryan Seacrest is giving some insight into the big finale that will "celebrate" the "Firework" singer "all night."

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday (May 14), Seacrest shared that the show, including himself and Perry's fellow judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, plan to send Perry off in style after seven years serving as a judge on the hit singing competition TV show.

"She's gonna perform, we're gonna celebrate her all night," he said, adding that the party will continue after the cameras stop rolling. "Then afterwards, I eat fish and vegetables — so she's taking us for steak... It's a celebratory night, right?"

Perry previously announced the current season of American Idol will be her last and recently opened up about her decision to step away from the long-running show, saying that she's not retiring but rather making herself available for other opportunities.

While the finale will be a celebratory send-off for Perry, it will still be a bittersweet moment for everyone involved.

"It's been a fantastic seven years with her, so sad to see her go," Seacrest said. "We all know each other very, very well. The judges have such an amazing chemistry but the show, through its existence, has always evolved into the next chapter and we're gonna do it again."

As for that next chapter, producers for the show are seemingly still searching for Perry's replacement, and the judges have weighed in on the potential prospects. Seacrest and Richie have both praised Meghan Trainor as being "fun" while Richie is a "big fan" of having the original American Idol Kelly Clarkson return as a judge.
