Cardi B is clearing up a few misconceptions about her life and career.

In a brand new interview Rolling Stone published on Thursday, May 16, the Bronx native opened up about several pressing topics that fans have been discussing for months. First of all, Bardi and Offset are still married despite the highs and lows fans have witnessed over the past few months. She says they're doing "all right now" and still considers him to be her "best friend." However, she also says that she's too busy with their kids and her career to grow their relationship.

“We have our own bad stuff. We’re from two different worlds,” she explained. “Sometimes I cannot be … not that I cannot be a wife. It’s just like, my career takes my life. You know what I’m saying? My career comes first, then my kids come second. And then sometimes I don’t realize that I’m putting so many things before my relationship.”

Later on, she clarifies the status of her upcoming sophomore album. Earlier this week, Cardi B enraged fans when she told them she's not dropping her album this year and is focused on relaxing instead. In Rolling Stone's cover story, the "Up" rapper's publicist confirmed the album is actually coming out this year despite what she posted on X. However, there are still a few things she needs to do in order to finish it like add an intro, three more songs, a rollout plan and an official title. She also plans to add more features outside of confirmed collaborators Cash Cobain and DJ Khaled.

Cardi B also touches on her thoughts about the upcoming presidential election. She used to be a strong supporter of President Joe Biden and even sat down with the then-Democratic nominee ahead of the 2020 election. However, she doesn't plan on supporting either candidate this time around.

“I feel like people got betrayed,” she explained. “It’s just like, damn, y’all not caring about nobody. Then, it really gets me upset that there [are] solutions to it. There is a solution. I know there’s a solution because you’re spending billions of dollars on any f**cking thing.”
