Some fans of shows or movies will binge-watch them over and over again, while others might quote lines from them incessantly, but it takes a true superfan to go so far as to name a child based on a film or a series. Sometimes doing so might be a mistake, especially if a character does something less-than-honorable. Other times, the names might be just a little too creative. That is what one person thinks of the names their friend gave her kids, and that person shared their story on Reddit.

The friend explained how the mom-to-be was struggling to come up with a moniker for her first born, and eventually just chose to take inspiration from the movie she and her husband were watching at the time. That film was Jurassic Park and the name it helped bring about was Trexton, after the iconic T-Rex in the flick. The pair then turned to a dino-themed name again for their youngest son, whom they named Roarex.

Commenters were mostly aghast. One person questioned, "Why can’t they use their silly names for the middle name? Ugh." Another said, "Rory’s a name. Why wasn't Rory good enough?" to which someone else added, "Even just Juras would've been better." Another pointed out, "Could've just named him Rex." One other stated, "If you wanted to use T-Rex why not Ty (for Tyrannosaurus)? Roarex…seriously?? Roar isn’t even specific to dinosaurs!"

No word on what the kids, or anyone who knows them, think of the names.
