Demi Lovato saw her chance and took it.
The "Confident" singer hilariously poked fun Kim Kardashian's viral breakdown while enjoying her sunny honeymoon with new husband Jules "Jutes" Lutes. On Monday (June 16), Lovato shared a reel on Instagram recreating the moment Kardashian lost a diamond earring in the ocean, leading to one of the most iconic scenes on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, per People.
"My earring's gone! Oh my God, I'm gonna cry!" Lovato mouthed along to the audio as she floated in clear turquoise waters. Jutes then appeared to wonder "what's wrong with you guys," a question originally posed by Kardashian's older sister Kourtney Kardashian.
Lovato climbed out of the water as she said, "My diamond earring came off in the ocean and it's gone," before the camera cut back to Jutes for his blunt delivery of, "Kim, there's people that are dying."
"We had to 😂," Lovato captioned the video.
Kardashian's meltdown has been often mocked since it was first captured in the season six episode of KUWTK that aired in 2011. In the original clip, the SKIMS founder broke down in tears after losing a $75,000 diamond earring when her then-husband Kris Humphries tossed her into the ocean during a family vacation to Bora Bora. Even Kourtney poked fun at the moment during a trip to Turks and Caicos with her sisters last year.
Lovato and Jutes tied the knot in a "pure magic" wedding ceremony in Santa Barbara on May 25, and since their nuptials, the "Sorry Not Sorry" musician has reportedly "never been happier."
