Juvenile Addresses Rumors About Birdman Falling Asleep On Stage During Show

Juvenile is shutting down all the chatter about Birdman months after a video appeared to show him sleeping while onstage during a performance.

On Thursday, July 31, the Louisiana native stopped by 97.9 WJLB in Detroit ahead of the Cash Money Millionaires' 30th Anniversary Tour stop at the Little Caesars Arena. During their conversation, Bigg Dawg Blast mentioned the now-viral video of Birdman looking dead asleep with a mic in his hand while standing in the middle of the stage. Juvie defended his friend and asserted that he did not fall asleep during the performance.

"The song sheet was right there and we all kind of like took a little break looking down," Juvenile explained. "And then he had them glasses on. He couldn't really see that good so he really was standing there. They said Stunna was falling asleep. If you look at the whole tape, you'll see me and B.G. doing the same thing."

Birdman himself has yet to address the video, but B.G. offered up a similar explanation. The Hot Boys member appeared on an episode of Drink Champs back in May and explained exactly what happened during that moment.

"He's reading and seeing what's coming up next," he explained. "He just got caught at a bad angle. It look funny, but nah he wasn't asleep."

Juvenile, Birdman, B.G., and Mannie Fresh have been touring the country and performing their classics during the Cash Money Millionaires 30th Anniversary Tour. The tour is expected to wrap up in Miami on August 17.
