BIA thinks it would be a "disservice" to her hard work if she continued to fuel her beef with Cardi B.
The Boston native shared her thoughts about the ongoing conflict between her and the Bronx rapper during a radio interview on Wednesday, October 8. During the conversation, BIA dismissed the idea of her responding to Bardi's scathing diss track "Pretty & Petty" because it's "beneath" her. She admitted that she considered making a follow-up to her diss track "SUEEE ME" for her new album. However, she realized that dedicating that kind of energy to the project would be a "disservice" to the album and those who contributed to it.
“Why would I?" she replied when asked about a new diss track for Cardi. "I don't care about anybody that much to get up and dedicate my life to like, ‘Oh, let me get at her.’ Like, no way, bro, that's crazy."
“I can always address it after. Like, I can always drop it, not drop it … but I just feel like it's like a little beneath me because that was a year ago for me,” she continued. “So now this album was coming out on Friday either way, whether she dissed me or not.”
Cardi B and BIA's beef has been going on for the past few years. It started after fans began pointing out the similarities between both artists, especially Cardi's "Enough" and BIA's "I'M THAT B***H." As Cardi explained in her interview with The Breakfast Club, the two had a couple of private conversations, and one of them quickly turned into a shouting match. Despite their attempts to talk out their issues, Cardi claimed BIA crossed the line when she mentioned her kids on "SUEEE ME." BIA said that a truce isn't in the cards, but she's also not trying to go after her again.
“I can go get on your ass again, but it's like... girl, enjoy your pregnancy, you know what I'm saying? Go enjoy your pregnancy,” she said. “I don't wanna get on your ass again, say something that gonna hurt your feelings, make me look like the ‘bad guy’ because I'm talking about somebody with a baby. Like, no, that's not the energy I'm on, you know? Like, I don't want that to come back to me. My mother didn't raise me to be dragging a pregnant lady. That's out.”
BIA spoke about her beef with Cardi B ahead of her upcoming album, BIANCA. The project, which drops tomorrow, features Denzel Curry, FERG, Becky G, Young Miko, Ty Dolla $ign and more.
