Goo Goo Dolls React After Buffalo Bills Play 'Iris' As Stadium Farewell

The Goo Goo Dolls said it was "an incredible honor" to hear one of their hit songs played in a farewell tribute to Highmark Stadium, home of the Buffalo Bills.

The Buffalo Bills potentially played their final game at Highmark Stadium on Sunday (January 4) marking the moment with a heartfelt farewell set to "Iris."

The Goo Goo Dolls, who hail from Buffalo, New York, shared footage of the moment on Instagram, expressing their gratitude. They wrote, "What an incredible honor to have ‘Iris’ played as the very last song at @highmark_stadium – home to the @buffalobills for 53 seasons!"

"Iris" was first written for the 1998 film City of Angels before becoming the lead single from the Goo Goo Dolls’ sixth album, Dizzy Up the Girl, released on April 1, 1998.
