(01:38):

I think I.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Got the most distance sliding on my socks. I probably
would have beat your ass at that.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Really you think?

Speaker 2 (01:45):
I think I slid from one side of the kitchen
to the other on my socks or the foot set pajamas.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Oh yeah yeah. And speaking of podcast, leave a review
a good one and you qualify for free swiggies. But
we'll be giving some away later today. If you left
the review, listen out for your name. Now. Okay, do
you think what Kat Williams said is coming to Fruition?
When he was on Club Shashay, he said all the
truth is coming out this year? Could be names are

(02:12):
going to be called out, people calling each other out.
Truths will be told because there's a lot of beefing
going on in the past few weeks.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Yeah, step aside Kendrick, Lamar and Drake because now it's
all about Shack and Shannon Sharp and there's three layers
to this.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Can we go through this? Want to just layer it? Yeah?
All right?

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Starts out like Kavino was saying with Shaq, sitting down
with the joker, take a listen.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
Uh, you know, I love you, the best player in
the league. I want to congratulate you, but I want
you to hear from me first. I thought the SGA
should have been the MVP. There's no disrespect to you,
but congratulations and what do you guys have to do
to get back on track versus Minnesota? Thank you, Shan.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
We don't judge people here, you know, So that's fine opinion.
I'm joking. I make for good laugh.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
I love you, I love your brothers. One thing we
always gonna do is keep it real with each other. Congratulations.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
So yeah, it seemed okay, right, but the criticism immediately
from the general public and from Shennon Sharp. What you're
gonna hear next was that he sort of rained on
his moment a little bit a little but take a
listen to Shennon Charp.

Speaker 5 (03:20):
We're never gonna see another guy Shack side with his
asthletal system that was as dominant as him. Shaq should
have five MVP. He sees a guy like Nicole Joki
that's not as dominant.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
As him, it gets three and four years.

Speaker 5 (03:34):
But see when you historically great, they talk about you
as great basketball player, the goat, and Shaq has never
brought up, And I think a part of him is
envious of that.

Speaker 6 (03:42):
When we talk about the greatest basketball players of all
time as far the GOT conversation, Shaq's name is never
brought up in that.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
Yeah, it's hard for me to put somebody into goat
conversation with one MVP regular season.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
It is hard guilt.

Speaker 5 (03:55):
So we're gonna take somebody with one regular season MVP
and put him in people. They got three, they got four,
they got five. If Shaq would have had if he'd
had my work ethic, he'd had forty five.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Point So I thought Shannon Sharp was pretty fair about
it because he's just speculating on Shack sort of reigning
on his parade and speculating on things that Shaq has
often said about himself, that his work ethic wasn't all
that great and he probably could have done a lot
more had he stayed in shape, and like you said, Rich,
that was Kobe's criticism with him too. Then Shaq got

(04:30):
worried that this happened. He went to social media and
I don't know if you saw it, but he did
say something along the lines of.

Speaker 7 (04:37):
I don't know you. You don't know me, You'll never
be me. I'm better than you, I make more money
than you. I've done more great things to you. I'm
top ten. He was like, you're not top ten NFL
nothing like.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Shaq went off on social media about Shannon Sharp, which
Shannon Sharp addressed. But then later today Shaquille O'Neal came
out with a stupid dish track. Take a listen, O
man your way beneath me. You hold the meanius. You
got a new wrapper be fet you're soft.

Speaker 8 (05:02):
Before you get flying. You rather tweet me, I wasn't
three different cars when you wasn't three feet. All I
see is done a sign. They come in at three D.
Mak it hot ain't nowhere around my d You are
not in my file. You are like a pee witch.
They I got him calling me rocky the way I
read read I get to the green bag. I don't
mean a lot more chet flying, foreign driving tests, buying

(05:25):
don pura.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Wow. I love how people are just hitting up with it.
I'm gonna write this track about bitch next time he
bothers me.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
And you know, Shack is just fired up because of
the whole Kendrick Lamar Drake thing and so oh immediately
come on going to the lab.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Oh, it's perfect. You know, Shaq as you know, if
you guys don't know, has a history wrapped the shack fu.
He always did his thing in the hip hop game.
He could rap, he DJs, you know all that stuff.
But the world is mine. What is your thoughts on
what happened? It sounds like it's taking a fun turn
when you got a dish track out there, but it's

(06:00):
it's weird when you see two guys like that going
at it because a lot of people like both dudes,
you know what, They.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Just don't seem to like you Jem that much. I
think it reminds me of a story of you and I.
We were in Vegas once. Sure, and one of our buddies.
We were busting his chops a little bit, and then
like a sort of friend acquaintance jumped in on it.
And you remember our friends stopped him in his tracks, like, yo,
I don't know you that way. I think it's okay

(06:26):
to make fun of yourself.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Like listen, if I said here's my shortcomings as a broadcaster,
and I said what I thought it was, Rich could
call himself a bozo. I could call him could, But
if someone outside looking in, he's like, yeah, he's a bozo.
It's like like that can we know? Can't? Any g could?
But if something like you know, Cornball from like CBS
Sports called me a cornball, I'd be like, don't thing?

(06:48):
Do hold on? That's true? These are my boys.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
So I think maybe Shaq is like everything you're saying
unk is true, but maybe I don't know you like
that to say that it's you follow Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
No, no, no, that's that. I think that nails. Why Shaq
got defensive about it, Even though Shannon Sharp didn't really
say anything that bad, he's still talking outside looking in
on Shaquille O'Neal on a pretty big public platform. And
like I said, Shaq said some strong words in his
written message on social media. He basically said, I make

(07:24):
more money than you I was, I was greater at
my game than you are. And Shannon Sharp owned up
to all that, like he's right, But Shaq could have
been a lot better and I did. Here's what Shennon
Sharp said, here's the difference between me and Shack. I
did everything I could with my God given abilities, and
I maximized everything because I put the work in. Shaquille

(07:46):
o'nele didn't.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Do that, And I mean, you know what, I Sometimes
being a workaholic and being a crazy person doesn't make
you a better human. I heard Colin on the Herd
stars at track Star better than I heard Colin this
morning saying how generational talents you know. There are guys
like Andrew Luck. The criticism of Trevor Lawrence is like, yo,

(08:09):
he's so good, but maybe he just doesn't care the
way like Tom Brady or Drew Brees, like guys that
live it like Shack didn't live it. Shack was so dominant,
but he cared about other things, which might make him
a better well rounded person. But the criticism of Shaq
has always been he might have been the greatest of
all time, had he had the work ethic of a
Kobe or a Michael Jordan or someone of that nature.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
You know what I find funny about this?

Speaker 9 (08:34):
First of all, this wrap a bat, all these dis tracks.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
I heard Isaac Lowingkron has a distrack about you.

Speaker 9 (08:41):
Well, I was just about to say, it's right where
Fonsie's back wheel of that motorcycle is just gotten on
the ramp, Like that's how close we are to this
thing kind of jumping the shark, when all of a sudden,
now Shaq is doing it with Shannon Sharp. However, I
will say this, I do think that Shaq did this
because it's crazy guys, if you think about it, Shannon

(09:03):
Sharp actually has a platform for them to go at
it right on his podcast, and Shaq can't win that fight.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Oh do you know what? Can I tell you?

Speaker 2 (09:12):
There are there are two quote beefs that could be
settled on podcast. And if you think maybe the podcast
like ooh, ratings numbers if Shaq went on Club Shah.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Downloads will be off the hub, Yes, off the chain.
You think we should write at this track about petros
and money or no? Because maybe I'll do that this
Weekend Danny g trop a Beat Trump a Beat.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
Daddy g Petros has actually said in the past sad
you guys are wonderful and he loves the show.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
Do you have that club? We'll find it. I know
it's in the system, but Byer's right. So there's another
one going on too. Did you see Jerry Seinfeld in
promotion of his uh Frost is not funny. He's had
Howard Stern's not funny anymore.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
He's you know, he's been went out flanked by young comedians.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
Then he walked it back a little bit, saying, sorry,
how wee. I didn't mean it.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
But all that does is set up a Stern sit
down with Seinfeld that will have huge numbers. So you
know what, it might just feed a really good city.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
Yeah, that actually could be this whole plan.

Speaker 9 (10:15):
But if they were to go ahead to head at
each other, I think that Shannon Sharp would run circles
around him.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
I mean, Shack is shack though, dude. I would love
to see that, I really would. We might get a
really great interview that sim willcass on both of their podcasts,
because they both have podcasts, except Shannon Sharp's is much bigger,
but Shack has so much reach, you know, and like
he said, he's bigger in every way, and Shannon Sharp
admitted it. You know, Shaq basically said.

Speaker 7 (10:42):
You'll never be as famous as me. You're not worldwide,
you're not as tall as me, you got as much
money as me. And Shannon Sharp is like, he's right,
he's right. But still, you know what I did have,
I had the discipline to maximize my god given abilities.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
He should write an agree track. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You
know what's funny about that too, Dan Bayer is how
I saw someone posted a meme. It's like this track's
are really just drown men writing poems and rhymes about
each other. It's funny. How Ever, settle beefs now, I
write a poem about you. Here it goes. You know,
I always thought it was funny. Remember in the beat

(11:14):
It video when they're like our West Side Story, when
they settle it in like dance moves, like dance battles. Now,
we're just writing poems to really get to the bottom
of them. Not much better than a dance off. Yeah,
it's the reason we love to beat It videos. Said, yeah, yeah,
we don't dance against each other anymore. We write poems

(11:35):
against each other back in the day, you know, Covino
and I did. Once we were getting on each other's nerves.
We did an insult parody challenge. Yeah, we did.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
It was great where we just said, you know what,
pick a couple old TV themes and let's just go
let's go at it.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
It was good. It's kind of can't blame here that
there was.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
It's weird when two guys are beefing and you like
both of them, Like I like Shaq and I like
Shannon Sharp, and this is what was going on when
Na's and jay Z. We're going at each other for
a good year. Remember I liked both rappers, so it
was I guess I had to just enjoy both sides
of it.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
I saw the other day that I say Nas won
that battle though Fitty Cent and jaw Roll. I saw
that Jay won the war.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
That goes back twenty five years before you even knew
fifty Cent when he was just part of like entourages
on his come up. That beef goes back to nineteen
ninety nine. They've been hating each other for twenty five years.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Yeah, it's amazing. So this is the latest one.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
But vide has the best tactic though, is in a
fitty that buys all the first twenty rows of every
job rule concert just so when the concert happens, no
one's in the front. Stupid, the best, it's the best,
petty tact, Peddy, Oh, I love it.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
So it's Tom petty. Oh that's so petty. I think
most people feel the same way. Danny G feels is
like Yo, man, I like Shannon Sharp. Oh I man
I like Shack. I hope they settle this beef, but
it is legit and like Dan Bier says, maybe maybe
it ends up in a nice sit down and we'll
see what happens. Well, so that's the update today, Your thoughts,
your feedback, seven seven ninety nine, Oh, Fox.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
We know what that makes me think. Though, Shaq might
not be next on the list. Remember we're talking about
Tom Brady who's next to be roasted? And we said, oh,
you know who'd be good? Tiger or Shaq? If this
bothers Shack. I don't know if he's ready for the roast.
You know, that's actually a great point to end on.
What's hypocritical about this whole thing is Shack not that
he was talking Smack because he did say it to

(13:24):
Jokic's face, but you know, he was very outspoken with
his opinion in that moment, so he could dish it,
but he can't take it from Shannon Sharp for a
big man. That's kind of lame. And I love Shack
and I say that respectfully, but I'm not opposed to
you writing a dish track about petros and money.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Get on it if there's a market or need for it.
Maybe Otherwise, I got other things to do, so Rich, oh,
before we talk about superstars supporting teams in the NBA. Yeah,
I want to hear what you have to say and
then we have giveaways. Perfect. I just wanted to.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
Bring up something that when I say this, I'm not exaggerating.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
Probably hundreds of people have hit me up with this meme. Hundreds,
maybe millions, maybe bazillions, billions and billions and billions. You
keep lying, I'm gonnat that many people. Yeah, exactly, people
keep hitting me up with this meme and it billions
and billions and billions and and billions and billions. I'm

(14:26):
sorry I had to and billions. Well, that was I
was thinking. Every time I think of billions, I think
of Trump billions and billions, billions and billions and billions
and billions and billions and billions. People hit me up with.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
This meme, and if they're hit me up, I think
they think it's real. So I want to be the
person that tells you it's not. Dann Bayer. I'm sure
scrolling through your your news this morning, you've also seen this,
the fake Tom Brady meme about the roast.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
It's a it's a fake Tom Brady quote positioned as
like a quote. Yeah, so people do think it's real.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
I just had one of my football buddies hit me up.
He goes to check this out. Twelve is the goat.
My gotta talk about that? Do you think this is real?
There's a fake quote going around, and it says I
just want to be sure. I understand the outrage. Netflix
offered to pay me twenty five million to attend an
event where comedians rip my ex wife for cheating on
me with your jiu jitsu instructor. And people are wondering

(15:18):
why I allowed that. Give any divorce data on Earth
the same option and get back to me, Tom Brady.
It's not a real quote, but people think it is.
That's the world we live in so when your buddy
hit you up with that today, because it's it's all
over TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
Might it be a warning? Let it be a warning.
Not real, but one of your dumb buddies will be like, yo,
Tom Brady's demand, did you see this quote? It's not real?
It would be cool if it was real. Though you
know you are fake? Is you are fake? Before we
move on? Though you're right Rich, I don't think Shaq
is ready for something like that. And I'm team Jason
Kelsey meaning I'm not offended by any of it, but

(15:57):
I don't know why anyone would really sign up for
it other than a major payday like that. I would
never want to sit through something like that. Jason Kelsey
went public on his podcast with his brother saying he
just doesn't get it. He would never do something like that.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
Is it?

Speaker 1 (16:13):
Is it generational? I'm with you, I'm with them. I
don't know. Did you guys anyone talk to like their
parents or an uncle or you know, I mean, have
a frinkical.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Mad dog mad dog hated every second I was gonna
say mad Dog. Russo was like, I don't get it
that mad dog you did?

Speaker 1 (16:24):
Tom Reddey and Rouse student.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
He was not liking it. And then I talked to
my dad. Your dad is very mad dog like, and
my feel like my dad is cut from a mad
dog cloth. They're about the same age. My dad's a
New York coports guy, sports guy, same haircut, same haircut. True,
maybe mad dog is my dad.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
Do you think your dad goes to the barber and
asks for the mad dog? I think I'll have the
mad dog russo, oh keep a little over the years. Yep,
that's the is kind of pot in the middle, like
kind to the sign. No hair product, just product dry.
Have the mad Dog, please a Pats Jack.

Speaker 2 (17:01):
So my dad hit me up and my dad said, son,
you know I'm no prude. I'm a pretty wild guy.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
Yeah, your dad's a party guy.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
My dad was like a Studio fifty four nineteen seventies playboy.
My dad's my dad's by no means a prude. My
dad spends he's retired, sits in his backyard, smokes weeding
his gazebo, and watches sports and chills out. My dad
is really my dad's by no means a prude. And
he's like, I'll tell you what that was.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
A bit much.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
Think about it from like a seventy year old guys perspective.
He's like those he knowes that was pretty raunchy. Yeah,
he didn't like it my dad, And my dad's like,
you know me, I'm not offended by anything. But he goes,
it was it was a lot, and he goes, I
don't know why anyone would want to do that.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
So our generation might be like, oh, it's all good fun.
An older person might be like, why on Earth money talks?
For sure? That's the update there, that's the warning. It's
not a real quote, and now you know the rest
of the story. I will cut. Coming up, Danny G
We're gonna do some swiggy giveaways.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
We're gonna get to weekend hobnobin and the importance of
legends supporting the team they played for.

There we go, There we are. That's the word. Sports
culture is the title of this podcast review. Just go
to Apple every day where you see our podcasts Covino
and Rich. You'll see all the the five star reviews,

(22:47):
which is very nice from all the listeners.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
Thank you for those. Thank you.

Speaker 3 (22:50):
T Underscore Taylor fourteen writes, the mix of sports and
pop culture is seamless. I used to listen to these
guys every day on Sirius XM Facts and Talk.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Oh yeah, back that day. It's one of our talk channels.

Speaker 3 (23:04):
Okay, I miss this, So it's nice that Fox Sports
has them on every day. I get to keep up
with them while I'm at work. They're very relatable as
we're around the same age. See guys, he's sixty five. Also,
let's good, No, you only look sixty four. Let's go Yankees.
He says, yeah, all right, t underscore Taylor fourteen.

Speaker 1 (23:24):
Thank you for that. I appreciate that. And can I
just say, Danny J that what we do here on
Fox Sports Radio is sort of what we always have done.
Because I see a lot of feedback. You're like, we
are these guys talking about nonsense. Why don't they stick
with sports. It's like we've always talked sports and mixed
it up with other stuff. It's what we we've always done.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
Yeah, no, one topic should be one hundred percent. Yeah,
it's nice to mix it up.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
Thank you man.

Speaker 3 (23:49):
All Right, this one says CNR. Simple title The Damned
from the Damnedest five Stars. If you want to laugh
and get updated on what's been going on in the
day of sports, this is the show for you. Now,
you guys can keep the cup. I just want you
to put a good word in with Monsey for your boy.
I don't trust this Sean character. Oh huh, the damnedest.

(24:12):
You can still email me for a cup if you
want it, all right. And then the next one here
from Eric z in Azy. So he's in Arizona. Man,
come see us two fridays from now in Tempe, he writes,
super relatable and interactive show. All things sports and pop
culture are covered with fast pace.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
Yeah, because we have Rich on the show. Fast paced.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
I'll tell this, coffee beans, I'll tell you this. I
get bored so easily. I'd like to pride myself on
if I even feel our conversation is getting tired, I'm like.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
Let's move along.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
I've always liked that because some radio NTV shows that drag.
Never that here all right, says also funny banter from
the entire crew. Hands down the best in the business.
Been listening to CNR for almost fifteen years now. I
agree with this guy. That's his name again, Eric z
debserves an award.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
Thank you for this.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
And finally, the Williams eleven writes best in the biz.
A lot of sucking up here, five stars. These guys
have been the best in radio for the last twenty years.
Glad the world is finally getting to listen.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
Look at that. That's from Covino's mom. H that's one
of the oldest broadcasting jokes in the book right there.
All right, if you had, if you heard, your review,
and make sure you write one, because we'll do this
from time to time.

Speaker 3 (25:29):
I check these out every couple of weeks. All right,
go ahead and write a review. Put five stars, write
something like you just heard if you think we're worthy,
and then email me. It's see our prizes at gmail
dot com. See us in covino Ours and Rich see
our prizes at gmail dot com.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
You just want a swiggy and we appreciate it. The
swiggy is a wonderful stainless steel water bottle. It's nice
and shiny blue. Nice, says Fox Sports Radio on it.
Really cool. Thank you guy. Guys.

Speaker 3 (25:58):
Right when we first got the ship man in and
I brought one home to my girls, she looked at
it and she's like, these are nice for a radio giveaway.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
Nicest radio giveaway. And by the way, nothing better than
a nice little Friday ego boost.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
So thank you for that. Thank you guys. You know
what I wanted to get into some weekend hobnobbin. What
do you want to go to? Dan Buyer first? What
do you think dB? This would dB get on the
freeway early, dB, you need to head home traffics a
little while.

Speaker 9 (26:24):
I appreciate that, guys, because I was getting a little
self conscious because not only did Cavino say everybody's going
to Eugene while I'm sitting right here.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
You know, with us in spirit.

Speaker 9 (26:36):
Then we have a review who names Mancy and I'm
the one that's here most of the time.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
They're talking about my replacement.

Speaker 9 (26:44):
It's it's like, you know, I love that pitching staff
and you only talk about the closer.

Speaker 4 (26:50):
You know.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
It's just like, what are we doing?

Speaker 9 (26:52):
Go down? Where's the dB love? Yeah? There is no
love like Shaq and Shannon Sharp.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
Guys.

Speaker 9 (27:00):
We're getting some details on the contract that Mike Budenoldzer
is going to sign to become the new head coach
of the Phoenix Suns. The Athletic WHU broke the news
earlier today that he's going to be the next head coach,
replacing Frank Vogel Nowadays. Budenoldser will get a five year
deal worth fifty million dollars to take over the Suns
head coaching gig. Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle is out
thirty five grand. He criticized officials after Game two on

(27:23):
Wednesday night, and the NBA find him that amount Today Tonight,
the Pacers and Knicks will play at the top of
the hour.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
Nicks up two to oh in the series.

Speaker 9 (27:30):
Timberwolves and Nuggets approximately nine to thirty Eastern time tonight
from Minneapolis. Timberwolves up two to ozho in that series.
CBC reports that Toronto will be awarded a WNBA franchise,
making it the fourteenth team in the league when they
begin play in twenty twenty six. A couple of golf
notes Xander Schoffley as the lead at the Wells Fargo
Championship at eleven under, a few players left on the course.

(27:53):
They're about to resume play after it was halted because
of severe storms. In the quest for a six straight
win on the LPGA Tour, Nelly Corda is now alone
in third place at the Cognizant Founders Cup after two rounds.
She's at nine hunder power, four shots back of the lead.
And finally, guys, who we end with this Flavor Flav
has been tabbed as the official hype man of the
US women's water polo team as they compete.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
For the twenty twenty four Paris Olympics.

Speaker 9 (28:18):
Flavor Flavor will also serve as a sponsor for the
team as they go for their fourth straight gold medal.
So something we'll be seeing in the next couple of
months leading up to those summer games.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
Guys, have a great weekend. Hey Dan, you're not off
the hook yet.

Speaker 2 (28:32):
I have two quick questions for you, because I always
need the damn Bayer input. I heard you and Doug
gott Leeb talking about the WNBA team in Toronto. WNBA
is a summer sport and Canadians really embrace those few
summer months where they can actually golaudio season, patio season,
they can actually do things outside.

Speaker 1 (28:52):
Is that an automatic? Is that an automatic hit in
Toronto or not?

Speaker 9 (28:56):
I think it will be. I think it will be
a hit. But to have any sort of scientific research
on what works and what doesn't, I have no idea
the markets that I thought would be great for it,
or you know, maybe where it's the only show in
town or one are the only shows in town. Uh,
sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

Speaker 4 (29:14):
You know.

Speaker 1 (29:15):
We were talking about this earlier. I heard Ia Sam
say when the Raptors are in the.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
Finals, they had all the signs, you know, we are
we are the North and all that, so maybe the
w BA catches on.

Speaker 9 (29:23):
He brought up to point that Detroit Shock went like
three titles. Then they ended up moving to Tulsa a
couple of years later, and then Wings I'm sorry, go
ahead finished yes, Oh well, I was.

Speaker 1 (29:34):
Just never actually uh we never actually said that on
the air for Dougs.

Speaker 9 (29:38):
No, that that's what I was going to say. They
ended up becoming a franchise. They're continuing it's.

Speaker 2 (29:43):
A new beast, gonna be Ioa Sam and Dampires. We
had to beat Dampire's gonna go a dish traffic per.

Speaker 9 (29:49):
Fat has done it too as well. Like where I'm
saying something, but then they just interrupt you or they
talk over you to get.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
That final point in. I did the research, all right,
so I can just say it. Get on the freeway,
leave this, leave this doon hero with us. I love
you Sam.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
Later, dB, let's listen weekend hob Namachelli live in for
the weekend.

Speaker 6 (30:08):
You're winning bets for talking points if you get stuck socializing,
you ever done anything dangerous?

Speaker 1 (30:13):
You ever dance with the devil?

Speaker 6 (30:14):
In the panel line. Friday brings us.

Speaker 1 (30:19):
Weekend hob all right live from the tyreck dot Com
studio What you need to watch in the world of
sports and entertained man, And I'm gonna kick it off
and say a lot of people are sleeping on this fight.
Well next week. Next week we'll be in Eugene, Oregon.
But that's also the weekend of the Tyson fury Usik fight. Oh.
This week Cambosis Lomachenko. Everyone talking, Garcia, Canelo, all the

(30:43):
other fighters, Mike Dythan in July, Cambosis Lomachenko. This weekend,
Cambosis wants to retire Lomachenko once and for all, and
Lomachenko saying if he wins, he wants to fight Shakur Stevenson.
It's a title fight for the vacant IBF one thirty
five belt the strap as they say so, I think

(31:05):
it's gonna be a good one. Here's the deal. Cambosas Solmachenko.
Are they the biggest names? Well, Lomachenko is pound for pound,
one of the biggest in the game. For a long time.
Cambos beat Tia Fimo Lopez. He's trying to get back
on track. Here's what I promise you. It's gonna be
a battle. So if you just want to see a
good fight, check it out. All right, Cambos is limachenk

(31:26):
Baby Reindeer, I'm gonna check that out. I've been hearing
lots of great things about it. It's on Netflix. It's
about that dude. Richard Gaddy plays a character named Donnie.
He's a bartender and some woman walks in and all
of a sudden becomes crazy obsessed with him, becomes a stalker.
And you've been seeing the real life woman with Pierce
Broslin and all over social media saying that's not really

(31:48):
how the story went down, but it's based on a
true story. Baby Reindier, I'm finally gonna check that out again,
based on all the good reviews. And speaking of Netflix,
everyone's talking about this roast, right that's came in. Two
million people watched it live. Four million people have watched
Kat Williams special, and I'm not one of them yet

(32:09):
me neither. It's called folk. Yeah, I wrote it down
and apparently he cuts up everybody, influencers, mainstream actors, and
we've been doing so much talking about the roast. I
haven't really checked it out yet, and I can't wait
to see what Kat Williams does here. Well, I got
a couple things in the comedy world to add to that.
Other than Kat Williams, you got John Mullaney.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
He's doing a live Netflix comedy special that will be
you know, living on Netflix.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
That happens I believe tonight or tomorrow, so this weekend. Yeah,
John Mullaney. His sit down with Letterman was great. I
liked it.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
And Nicki Glazer, who fresh off of the Roast of
Tom Brady, she has an HBO comedy special that debuts Tomorrow,
the eleventh, and also on HBO, Max iron Claw of
the von Ericks.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
If you haven't watched that wrestling movie yet, I hear
great things. I liked it.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
That's that's tomorrow. And Danny g are you and Brenda
gonna be watching American Idol Top five on Sunday night?

Speaker 1 (33:05):
We probably will watch the top five.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
Top five should be fun and of course great NBA
you got two games tonight all weekend NBA playoffs and
some NHL playoffs as well what you got, Danny.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
This worked last Friday.

Speaker 3 (33:18):
I put some voodoo on the Nuggies tonight the late
game Game three, Let's Go Minnesota Tea, Wolves of Los Angeles, Yes,
all right? And on Apple TV, Rich I talked to
you about this in the Hallway a couple of days ago.
Great new show on Apple TV called The Big Door
Prize so good. Chris O'Dowd Gabrielle Dennis are the two

(33:39):
starring in it. Really good casting movie from a hit book,
A Small Town. I'm gonna read the synopsis for you.
Small town has forever changed when a mysterious machine appears,
promising to reveal everyone's true potential. Soon, residents start changing jobs,
rethinking relationships, and questioning long held beliefs.

Speaker 2 (33:57):
Yeah, it looks like a cool sci fi like to
what you could have been? Like the previews sold me,
so I want to give a shot as well.

Speaker 3 (34:04):
It's not sci fi, but the machine is very mysterious
that just winds up in their local general store, and
some people in the town are hesitant to go in
there to get the card because the card tells you,
like you know, what your true potential is. One girl,
it says liar and she's like what and so there's
some twist and turns with her. It's awesome, though, show.

Speaker 1 (34:24):
Would you want to?

Speaker 2 (34:25):
Would you want to get a little card that showed
the best or worst you could have been in Life's interesting.

Speaker 3 (34:31):
So there's a guy who owns a beatza parlor in town.
He says superstar and he's like, oh, right for the
big time. I could have been a rock star had
I not owned this piece. YEA couple's breaking up and
stuff like that based on their potential on the card.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
Interesting. So that's on Apple TV. Yes, sir, anything else?
She goes, want to adder we done? I'm just saying
I'm excited about the Knicks game tonight and the Yankees
taking on the race. So that's always a great series.

Speaker 2 (34:55):
Actually is on right now, iosc and put it on
for me now coming up before we get out of here,
speaking of Knicks, say importance, importance, the importance of legends
rooting for their team. I'll explain there's a story has
to do with John Starks and Clyde Frazier. All that.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
Next Life from the tairack dot Com studio. Cavino Rich all, yeah,
we're live from retire Rack dot Com studios and before
it gets late, gets late early when you're having fun
on the Covino and Rich Show Live from La Life

(35:35):
from the Tirack dot Com Studios. I want to wish
all the moms a happy Mother's Day, especially my mom
more tents. Yeah, I love you, mother.

Speaker 2 (35:44):
I know my wife's out listening. I bought a bunch
of random stuff. I know Manzi is in here next
dB left Yo, Manzi. You buy stuff on TikTok or
Instagram often.

Speaker 1 (35:53):
Or no, Mommy, I mean not often, but not not
that I have.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
I bought like you know, I'm the sucker for like
hop up like oh personalized mom mug. I bought all
this stuff and none of it's come in yet, so
you still got it. Don't forget to at least call
your mom. Say hello to your mother for me.

Speaker 1 (36:12):
So, Happy Mother's Day to all the Fox Sports Radio moms,
all the moms. If your auntie's a mom, Happy Mother's
Day to her, your god mom's, all the moms out
there doing mom things. We appreciate your. Happy Mother's Day
from Cavino and rig Show to your family. What about Maureen,
oh Patrick's mom? Oh yeah, I only say that because
Patrick one of the edits. His mom always makes us cookies.

(36:34):
So if your mom makes us cookies, you get a
special show for sure. For sure and coming up on
Monday show after Mother's Day weekend, remember a Monday edition
of Iron Mike Trivia for more giveaways. I love it
when he comes to the studio. I know, dude, I'm
watching bowling.

Speaker 2 (36:50):
We got all that, We got FS one on ESPN,
all the different sports shuttles on what is bowling on
CBS bowling.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
Speaking of your mom was on bowling for dollars, honestly
true story.

Speaker 2 (37:02):
Yeah, I'll never find the footage, but my mom was
on that game show Span Bower. This is a guy
that bowls with like two hands or one of them.
A lot of these young kids bowl with two hands.

Speaker 1 (37:12):
It's all the buzz nowadays, rich and it's.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
So odd because traditionally you see a guy or a
woman going up with the one hand.

Speaker 1 (37:19):
They do that two hands spin thing. It's very common now,
the way of super common, the way of the future
of bowling. Yep. But I want to just let everyone
know I'm a dummy and I'm gonna end it at that.
I mean, we knew that. Next story I just spent
the last ten minutes, Danny looking for my keys around
the studio, and I realized I left my keys just
before the show, and undo, I dropped my car the

(37:41):
car wash down the block, and they have my keys. Yeah. Yeah,
I just spent the last ten minutes like, where are
my keys? How the hell am I going to get home? Oh? Say,
I'm a dummy. It's funny, you say that really quick.

Speaker 3 (37:53):
For her first Mother's Day gift yesterday, I took my
Wifey's car to.

Speaker 1 (37:58):
The you know the where they do it all the detailing.

Speaker 3 (38:02):
Yeah, the whole detail thing, And I watched the poor
guys run around and chase people for their key. Yeah,
because so many people have the key fob and they
forget to leave and they just take off.

Speaker 1 (38:12):
I walked away and came back an hour later, and
my car was just still sitting there because I walked
through the idiots blocking everybody. Done that. By the way, Rich,
I don't want to over promise. We have only a
few minutes left. But the importance of supporting a legends
supporting the team, because we've been seeing a lot of that.
For example, you know they're not NBA players, but you

(38:34):
see the Knicks. Did you see Mo Rivera with all
the young Yankee players. That was awesome. That's the point
I want to make. And again that's why they looked
really invested, like in that game. It was so cool
to see. We only have a couple of minutes, but
I think that's all we need. It's to me.

Speaker 2 (38:49):
You see it a lot with college alma maters, right,
Like guys would go back, oh, it's Michigan weekend, or
this guy all he went to Ohio State or Alabama.

Speaker 1 (38:56):
You see him on the sideline. They'll pant to the guys.

Speaker 2 (38:59):
Guys a lot of pride in where they played college
hoops or college football.

Speaker 1 (39:03):
Yeah, as they should.

Speaker 2 (39:03):
And and there's always that pride, there's that college pride.
A lot of times there'll be a big playoff game
in the Pros and you don't see what you're seeing
in New York.

Speaker 1 (39:13):
And I'm not saying New York's the exception. You're saying
John Starks and that and Clyde Frazier and these guys
really invested, like we're talking invested. It feels like a fraternity,
like they're pumped about this young New York team.

Speaker 2 (39:26):
And I love it, Like Like I said to Danny,
I always love when Magic Johnson just shows his passion
for the Lakers, when a guy that played for a
team you root for still feels like he has that
passion and that fire for the team. Like Listen, Derek
Jeter has been around Baseball Marlin's front offices different things
like wouldn't it mean something to you if you saw

(39:46):
Derek Jeter rooting on.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
Volpi and Soto and these young guys. Hell yeah, no,
I love seeing it. And I've been seeing Marbury too
out there again cheering on the East Coast teams.

Speaker 2 (39:57):
I just there's something to be said about Nets aren't
in the playoffs. I guess, you know, easy, I think
of him as East Coast either way. You know, I
think of him as a Net obviously, But I just
think there's something really nice And as a forty nine
Ers fan, no one does it better than Jerry Rice
with his big Niners helmet medallion around his neck always,
you know, encouraging Debo and Iyuk and these young receivers.

Speaker 1 (40:19):
Oh and by the way, some of these young players
said they're feeding off of that. Yeah, they've said that recently.

Speaker 3 (40:24):
No Riches, right, I'm glad you brought up NFL Rich,
because the Raiders heritage is one of the things I
love about that organization. Once a Raider, always a Raiders
their slogan, and they always honor Yeah, they always honor
all of their stars from the past few decades.

Speaker 1 (40:38):
I think it's nice. I think it's great for the
the old guys to get their props while they're there,
but to also support the young guys, and it fires
up the young guys as we've noticed in the past
few weeks. So the legends supporting the current Yeah, and
legends to be I.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
Will not be happy until I see Jim Plunkett give
Gardner Minshew a bro huk, dude.

Speaker 3 (41:02):
I won't be happy until I see Jim Plunkett inducted
into the NFL Hall of Fame.

Speaker 1 (41:06):
His numbers match people that are in. No, he's his
numbers are better than certain quarterbacks that are in.

Speaker 6 (41:10):
You know.

Speaker 2 (41:11):
Fun fact, I'm pretty sure my brother's named after Jim Plunkett.
Maybe my mom's a radio there, you know, my mom's
a Raiders fan. Yeah, brothers family.

Speaker 1 (41:18):
My brother's name is James. He was born in nineteen
eighty four and Rich, by the way, named after Richard Simmons.
I don't know if because his mom was a big
dealer Meal fan back in the day.

Speaker 2 (41:28):
Huge fan, huge fan. Well, hey, we appreciate you hanging
with us. Anything you miss you can always catch at.
Covino and rich named after Richard Simmons, Steve Covino named
after who.

Speaker 1 (41:39):
Steve Balboni after my dad. Oh okay, all right, well,
thank you guys. Have a great weekend. Happy Mother's Day weekend.
Enjoy your NBA, enjoy your baseball, and enjoy your fights.
Perfect riva there you baby, see you in the promise. Last,
how do you mother for me?
