Rich podcast.

Speaker 1 (00:07):

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Searching FSR Tyrese Maxey. What a shot?

Speaker 1 (00:24):
I hope you had a Tyrese Maxie sort of night,
seventy six ers, Calves Bucks sort of night.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Are you gonna give him the finger or what?

Speaker 1 (00:30):
I'm gonna give him the finger like Tracy Morgan, I'm
gonna get someone pregnant. Did you see Tracy Morgan giving
him flipping him the bird?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Anyway? What a shot? What a game?

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Some great games last night, good games tonight. But we
also have to talk Anthony Edwards. Danny g you got
scoop on him? Is he Jordan's son? I heard he's
Michael Jordan's son.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Sure looks that way.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Yeah, people are saying that it could be. Honestly, it's
just a fun rumor that people are running with because
of a way he's playing and how he looks and
seems sort of head and the ears are similar, and
Jordan has said, like back in the day, he was
running wild around two thousand and one when Edwards was born.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
I mean, I'm just saying I and he's possible. I
doubt it.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
I mean, rich, you might have some kids running. You
did some damage in nearly two thousands too. NBA players
never step out on their girlfriends or wives.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
You know that. Oh yeah, good point. Loyal might be
the father. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
MJ himself has admitted that Anthony Edwards looks the most
similar to him in his playing days.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Yeah, you are the five. That is a compliment.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
So Anthony Edwards says something about one of the other goats,
Lebron James.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
We'll get to that.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
And according to the Internet, yeah TikTok in fact, which
means it has to be true.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
I'll count two hundred days left. Then there.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
I'll just say rumors allegedly supposedly as people saying correctly correctly.
Jordan was at three to five women per day around
the two thousand and one season three to five day.
It was during his later years. Women were coming out
left and right. He may have kids out there? Was
he the original spokesman for Chalk Maybe one of them
in the NBA guys chucked up seriously again, rumors allegedly,

(02:13):
who knows, it's just a fun story, but Anthony Edwards
is in the news and it actually involves Lebron. He's
not coming to Jordan's defense. He's coming to Lebron's defense.
And we'll explain. And by the way, if you're wondering
why we're playing the whole b clip, we'll get to
that in midweek major with spot. But last night pretty
fun that a bee keeper came to rescue the Dodgers

(02:36):
Diamondbacks game and throughout the first pitch.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Yeah, he was at his son's little league game when
they called him. He had to sit through traffic to
get to the stadium.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
That's awesome.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Hey I gotta get there. Hey, you gotta sit in
traffic like everyone else, buddy. Yeah, but uh, I'm the beekeeper.
I'm here to save the day. So well, honestly, who's
more important than that guy in that moment?

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Right?

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Yeah, there's like forty people there, they're all waiting. He's like, no, no, no,
I'm the guy. I'm the guy.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
My wife he heard this on the Dodger broadcast and
she said, is he the only bee keeper?

Speaker 2 (03:10):
In the entire city.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
I mean, you ever get down is it a wormhol
or rabbit hole on social media? Rabbit rabbit hole once
you're going to space. Yeah, you ever go down a
rabbit hole? Because I know Spot has of that good
looking girl who's a bee keeper and she picks up
bees by the handful. It's it'll make you be like
but at the same time fascinating how people that are

(03:33):
in that world.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Clearly there's not many.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
We had to wait two hours for the Dodgers Tedbacks game,
but bee keepers, no fear, Matt.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Hold on, hold on.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
And by the way, speaking of that's from Tommy Boy
or is it black Sheep Tommy Boy?

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Is Tommy thought? They were the same Walter Hauser no
different plots.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Paul walter Hauser, best known as Sting Ray from Cobra Kai,
is portraying Chris Farley in an upcoming film with our
pal Josh Gadd. I believe Josh gadd is directing it
or creating this movie. So a lot of pressure on
better get that right, sting Reay to get it right.
But I have a way back Wednesday question. I got coffee.

(04:18):
Coffee for the first person that knows it right, okay,
based on the bees. What word did they use to
describe the Jaba Chamberlain story in the playoffs?

Speaker 4 (04:32):
Midges?

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Oh you coffee bro man and he wants and he
wants a VENTI I didn't say, but actually it's not
politically correct to say that word. An I like it. No, No, midges.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
The thing of another letter. Yeah, yeah, oh.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
You were right. I would have forgot that. Did anyone
else really know?

Speaker 5 (04:52):
Or no?

Speaker 2 (04:53):
They're like very small gnats.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
You would have said nats, right, I would have said nats,
but it was they always used midges a midge.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
You're so right? You know what? For real? Loan Crin,
I owe you one.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
So shout out. We'll give him props and then we'll
tuckle NBA. But Matt Hilton saves the day. Matt and Hilton,
everybody the bee keeper in the Phoenix Scottsdale area that
came to the rescue for the Dodgers d Backs game.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
And his first pitch was better than your boys the
other day?

Speaker 5 (05:21):
What Kan?

Speaker 6 (05:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Noa Khan.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
So hey, that's a pretty cool day for that guy.
Imagine that. You're like, what was he in his kid's game?
He said, dude, Yeah, that's what Danny G says doing
this too. Yeah, you can't, honestly when you that's a
great sort of observation.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Rich think about that.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
This dude's just cruising around doing his dad thing, being
a b guy. All of a sudden, all of a sudden,
he's all over Sports Center, Like you don't wake up
thinking this could be the day I'm throwing out a
first pitch and I'm the hero of the game.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
They said.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
He was hanging around his kids baseball game. That's cell
phone started to ring. He picks it up. It's the
Diamondbacks and like, you gotta get over here.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Now. You know funny about that.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
I take my kid to school like any good parent
does right, like any parent has to. But I had
this little lesson without even thinking about that this morning.
Here's two things you gotta do as a parent. You
got to introduce them to cool music on their way
to school, tell them what these songs mean to you,
be an influence, and then teach them a little lesson.
And I was like, you know what, I'm exhausted melody

(06:23):
why dad, Dad couldn't sleep at all. But you know what,
you know, it gets me up. What the thought that
anything could happen. Yeah, not bad things, that's nothing.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
A bad thing.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
I'm talking like something cool could happen. An old friend
could reach out, You can get a promotion, something amazing.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Think about that.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
This dude was the hero of the day, had no
idea that was about to happen.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Well paid for his coffee, unlike Isaacastell, Yes, what about it?
Or know what's in story? Yeah, went about his day
hanging with his kids. Probably dropped it.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
Dropped my kid off at gymnastics, going to the kids
a little league game. You might see a heinee that
changes your life all you just don't know.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
All of a sudden, he's saving the day at Chase
Field and throws out the first pitch and Matt Hilton
is getting props today. It's like no other bee keeper ever.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
You know what it reminds me of the most famous
It always reminds me of one of those like Ends
of the World movies where random guy becomes the hero.
Like no random person gets a phone call like are
you the expert in like I don't know the Earth's core?
Why I am come come to the White House immediately,
And then all of a sudden they're dragging like a Jeff
Goldbloom type to the White House in the war room,

(07:30):
like I didn't expect this, And that goes with our
conversation Danny g earlier this week. The spontaneity takes a
lot of pressure off of things like that, like had
he known that, you know what, on this day, I'm
gonna have to go there and be the hero and
then throw out the first pitch. Nerves might get to you,
but the spontaneity of it all makes it just like,

(07:51):
what in the hell's going on? It's just fun and
what a day for that guy.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
So that happened? Do they just left the bees? There?
They were? But why were they attracted? Like the wires?
It was like, was there covered in uh, some kind
of sugar?

Speaker 1 (08:04):
I don't Yeah, someone left their uh their chocolate turo
on the top top of the It was a brawl yesterday,
and the bee thing seemed a little more exciting, to
be honest.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
That was interesting too, because if you've seen any of
the video clips, he was spraying the bee hive with
something and then not a hive.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
I guess he's gonna swarm the swarm like swarming.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
Then he took like the vacuum cleaner, and they were Okay,
gathered him.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Ok.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
I looked it up. It's sugar water spray that they
used to calm to calm the bees down.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
Makes sense.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Bees are essential to our whole ecosystem. Take a walk
around your block, because I did that with my kids.
Honey around. Honey is one of the only things that
doesn't have an expiration date on it.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
Wow, dropping fun facts thirteen minutes into the show for
real Bee It's the only thing my grandmother left me
in her will. Here's my honey and Daniel Danny still
waiting to eat it because it has no expiration. I'll
take a walk with my kids around the block.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
And you know, out here in La there's a lot
of lavender plants that I always tell my son, I go, yo, Ben,
look at the plant lavender.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
What does it have?

Speaker 7 (09:08):
Bees?

Speaker 2 (09:09):
Yeah? The bees everywhere important.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
We figured we'd harp on it, guys, because no one
else here on Fox Sports Radio will. So that's what
we do. Cavino and richeral worldwide leaders of nonsense. Now
we promised you have some Anthony Edwards talk, and we
got to get into it. He posted something that I
think everybody could relate to understand. You might not agree,

(09:33):
but you can't deny what he says to be true. Okay, now,
he posts via Instagram, Anthony Edwards Superstar. I've never seen
so many people be so happy to see an athlete
fail more than Lebron. Lebron James facts his whole career,

(09:54):
He's been hated on constantly and slandered to no end,
to the point where when he retires, no one would
have appreciated his greatness. I'm reading it word for word,
he says. I'm glad I will be the one who did.
Now he's not the only one, but he is one
who did. Okay, Jews. Now now you have to ask yourself,

(10:18):
well is this true? And you have to ask yourself, well,
why is Lebron James the most cheered against, rooted against
athlete in our lifetime?

Speaker 2 (10:29):
And like Covino said, you.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
Gotta ask why because you could hear names like Michael Vick,
Ray Lewis, Deshaun Watson, Tiger Woods, Mike Tyson, Kobe Bryant.
People have had things happen throughout their career where fans
could be like Ronto and no, they did something questionable.
Lebron has done nothing of the sorts or has he
Is this an unwarranted reputation? Is this unfair? Or maybe

(10:55):
Edwards grew up he was a little kid. He doesn't
remember the perceptions some people out of Lebron. He just
looked at him as a hero. He stayed out of
the social issues. He agreed on what Lebron was standing
for at the time. Who knows what Edward. Maybe Edwards
just admired him as a basketball player, which a lot
of us should, right. But there's more to Lebron than
meets the eye. And that's why that's really it. Whether

(11:18):
you agree with him or not. The unwarranted response and reaction,
or the fans that don't root for him or hate
on him, that all comes from things that he brought
on himself. You could say for the greater good of mankind,
or you could say it just rub people the wrong way.

(11:38):
I mean, I think Kerry gets started with his sense
of maybe arrogance as a younger player, Like when he
was early on in Cleveland. I don't think there was
anything in Cleveland he was loved. Was it all started
outside of Cleveland. I'm talking Miami. I would say Miami.
Then the Miami the decision is the decision. The arrogance
that maybe a lot of people took from that, I'm

(12:00):
not saying it was there, but that was the reputation.
That's what he put out there. And then of course
his stance on certain social issues. I'm not debating whether
his stance was right or wrong. I'm saying any time
you're outspoken like that, it's going to be polarizing. And
that's why, be honest, I'll play dumb. What political stances
has he had the people? It's not political stances, more

(12:21):
social issues stances. Probably in the right. We're standing up
for his people, you know, just culture issues. That's all
just being an outspoken figure where Jordan kept to himself.
That's really what the conversation comes down to.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
Yeah, Rich, there was a whole space jam being released
in China. Thing lots of different than Yeah, stuff like that.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
There was any story where let's say he had a
stand up for the little guy, he did, and you
could say, well, good for him, because other superstars stayed
out of it, and you catch last flak as as
a result of that.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
Yeah, one thing we did point out on our show before, though, Covino,
there's been times where and I hate this. It's the
media's fault, the reporter's fault. They will run to him
like little kids anytime something breaks in the news, and
they'll say, what's your thought on it, what's your stance
on it?

Speaker 2 (13:11):
And he feels that pressure. He's kind of backed to it.
He never hit from it. No, he didn't commit that.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
But instead of saying, you know what, I need to
do some research on that, I need to figure out
what I think about that, he has spoken and you
could tell, like his book, he didn't read into it,
and so sometimes it just comes off as you know,
him just talking.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
So I'm not saying Anthony Edwards is wrong by any means,
but I think there's reasons that people have reacted that way,
you know, for right or wrong.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
That's why there is a reason.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
That's pop I want to know Michael Jordan because he
wouldn't respond on things like that back in the day.
He didn't and you just appreciated him as a basketball player.
Lebron James was way more out there with his opinions,
and again you could commend him for it, but it
also rub people the wrong way.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
It's like any polarizing figure. Rich.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
Yeah, but I still want to know why eight seven, seven,
nine nine on Fox, like because of antics, because of
the decision, because he because he flails.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
His arms during a foul like that way for reason.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
Yeah, there's a lot of people that don't like it
because he's great, and sometimes you don't necessarily embrace the greatness.
I mean, why would anyone really hate on Tom Brady?
To be honest, he wasn't a guy that wasn't necessarily
outspoken by any means, and people hate on him because
simply he's great, Right, I'm just curious as to in

(14:39):
a world where there are athletes that getting legal issues,
guys are getting bad accidents drugs.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
Well, I don't hate Lebron James at all.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
I think he's one of the greatest guys and honestly
thrilled that we were able to witness him live and
watch his whole career. I mean I took my little
brother to see him his rookie year just to make sure, Like, dude,
I want you to you know, you're seeing Lebron shames, dude,
because he's a once in a lifetime guy. So you're
asking the wrong dude. I know the people out there

(15:09):
that do hate him it's because he rubs them the
wrong way on the court and off the court.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
You can't say. You can't say it's because oh Space
dram two and China. No, I don't think anyone cares.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
I think it's because he flails his arms during fouls
and he did the decision. There's like you could point
to a few moments that Lebron seems arrogant or maybe.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
Entitled or something, whatever the case may be.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
I feel like it's completely unwarranted for him to be
the most rooted against athlete of the last twenty five
thirty years. I mean, if you could read my handwriting,
I haven't written down right here on warrant unwarranted reputation.
It's kind of unfair. But again, it's like us doing

(15:57):
a radio show. The microphone is in that guy face
so much that he's gonna say things eventually that just
rubbed people the wrong way. We as radio hosts every
day deal with backlash because not everybody's going to agree
with everything you say. And when you live under that
microscope and every word and everything you do is speculated on,

(16:21):
you're gonna have people that just hate on it.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
I'll tell you what.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
And he was very outspoken in his career. The point
has he never hid from anything. If I lived under
the Lebron whichoscope, yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
Be canceled fifty times.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
All the things you may have said or did or dude,
oh you might have been seen with a female coworker
and people have been like he's cheating on his wife.
Like Lebron is pretty clear. The point is simple. Guys
like Jordan gave back to their community. It's not what
I'm saying, but back in those days, if someone went
to Michael Jordan with a question about any issue outside
of basketball, his reputation was and the way it was

(16:57):
handled back then was I'm not talking about that. We're
talking about basketball for the most part, at least in
that era. Is how Jordan handled his stuff, his business.
Lebron didn't shy away from those things, whatever the issue
may have been and not.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
And you know, as a radio host, not everybody agrees
with everything that's true.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
Now, I will quote Dan Bayer, who was in on
the Update the day we were talking about the NFL Draft.
Do you think Dan Bayer, Isaac Lowancron and Monty do
you think they keep score who has the best points
on shows.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
They don't have to.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
It's me okay.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
Leaderboard, Isaac Lohan, Kron dan Byer did make a great
point the other day.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
I'll give him props. I love dB. We're talking about
how the NFL draft.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
Went from a bunch of old dudes smoking cigarettes with
those beige phones in the seventies and eighties and like
crappy hotel conference rooms, two hundreds of thousands of people
AI technology. A player gets drafted, he's all of a
sudden running and they're changing his jersey into the team
jersey on the video.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
It's unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
The NFL draft went from again nothing, to a big
production that makes millions millions and millions watch. And Dan
Bien made the point that maybe in the future free
agency turns into something like that. So what Lebron did
with the decision? Is it crazy to think other athletes
hold a press conference or an event where it's like,

(18:25):
I'm gonna make a choice, We're gonna yeah, we'll look
back to high school kids. He got such unnecessary hate
for that. I also think there's did all American high
school kids line up a bunch of hats and they're like,
is he gonna go to Georgia, Texas, Alabama, sort of.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
Ahead of his time on that.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
I don't think a high school kid doesn't. And it's oh,
that's cool Lebron did it both hated guy. What year
was that? By the way, because I remember watching it
and thinking it was awesome, like I think cool.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
I think it's because the city felt of Cleveland of course,
felt like he was totally dissing them, pulling the rug
out from underneath of them. Remember people there were burning
his jerseys and stuff like that. It's that was the
bad perception from that started it. Yeah, wanna fil The update,
by the.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
Way is Anthony Edwards says he wants to avenge Lebron
and he says, I have to get Lebron's revenge. It's
only right. So tell the nuggets I'm coming. So that's
the update there. So he did post a question on
Instagram about why does Lebron get all this hate? Let
it be known that it'll never come from him, and
now he's avenging him. So kind of cool Anthony Edwards

(19:30):
doing his thing. Let's go ahead, make.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
Me feel old.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
The decision presented by the lake Ate Stuart Scott, Michael Wilbon,
Chris Brussard. He was there, John Barry, Jim Gray all
on hand in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
Yeah, a seventy five minute special. I mean we were
all watching.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
On July eighth, twenty ten, fourteen years ago, Lebron James
took the stage.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
And I were doing the show together. I'll be talking about.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
He said back then, the most famous line, He's gonna
take his talents to South Beach Beach.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
And he then became hated.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
He went from Akron boy playing for the Calves the
future of the NBA, to like, look at this arrogant
I'm making a TV specialty a free agency has headed there,
but not as his goatsts and greatness grew.

Speaker 2 (20:23):
People don't like to see guys of his.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
Caliber complain to officials, flop and do those things. He's
almost too good for that, and it rubs people the
wrong way. These are just my assumptions. I can't answer that.
I don't hate Lebron James. I'm actually, like I said,
happy we got to witness his career. Agreed, now, listen,
we're running late, we're gonna break, We'll come back. But
I had one more thought about this. You know how

(20:48):
there's always someone the first person to do something like
like like there was one person that decided I'm gonna
drink milk out of the otter of a cow that
just happened to work out. There's always someone that does
something risky or not, like, hey, do you think we
should eat a meat from that animal or that that
bury on that bush? One guy had it buried dead.
There's at least one person to do it first. Do

(21:08):
you think if I was the first guy to drop
a what, I can't you know what, I can't even
say it. No, okay, fine, now I'm curious what it is.
If Lebron jbamous snoop dog joke.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
If.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
Lebron James and the decision in twenty ten would have
went over amazingly, like everyone's like, wow, that was awesome.
I bet you it would have just been a trend
from that day on. I think everyone else saw it. No, Nope,
not doing that. It was how it was handled. I mean,
they've made specials about it. He made people way. If
the whole thing, if that would have went well, every
other free agent in the major sports afterwards would have thought,

(21:44):
maybe I should do a special. But because it fell
flat and looked bad, yeah, it was like, no, not
doing that.

Speaker 3 (21:50):
Remember how the Calves owner reacted, Eh, he looked he
made Lebron his arch enemy there for a moment.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
Don't remember. They even paried it on How I Met
Your Mother.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
Bonnie Stinson had to pick his new favorite strip club
and he did the decision Jim Gray. There was also
a backstory with Jim Gray and the questions. It's not
coming to mind now, but you know a lot of
these things along the years rub people the wrong way,
and maybe Anthony Edwards was too young to remember that.
Not saying it's fair, but he's like, he doesn't get it.
A lot of people don't get it. Why all the
unnecessary hate? Unwarranted? Hey, on Lebron, your thoughts, your feedback, We're.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Going to you. Let's go Lebron.

Speaker 1 (22:26):
James Anthony Edwards said he gets the most unnecessary hate
of any athlete ever.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
Then he said he's gonna avenge Lebron to watch out Nuggies. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
So a simple question, why why does everyone not like Lebron?
D and Florida started off rapid fire?

Speaker 2 (22:41):
What's up? D? What's going on?

Speaker 5 (22:43):
Guys? What's Lebron? When you're Tom Brady? Lebron James, Kobe Bryant.

Speaker 8 (22:48):
You're always gonna have one group you and one group
who hates you. I don't care if Lebron.

Speaker 5 (22:53):
James goes to Mars.

Speaker 8 (22:55):
I'm looming for the marshas.

Speaker 5 (22:56):
He's always been my guy next to Michael Jordan. He's
the greatest live Yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
Liten, listen, dude, look at it this way.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
Polarizing people, Howard Stern, Joe Rogan, Stephen A. Smith, Colin
Cowhard people. You know, for people that are big and
good at what they do is equal hate always right,
Floyd Mayweather Junior.

Speaker 2 (23:16):
I mean it's true. Sam Ohio, what's up? Sam?

Speaker 5 (23:19):
What's up? Fella's how was going?

Speaker 2 (23:21):
What's up? Why? We asked why Ron gets all the hate?

Speaker 8 (23:24):
Listen, man, this started before the decision.

Speaker 5 (23:26):
Remember his mom.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
Body my hummer in high school? Yes?

Speaker 8 (23:29):
Oh yeah, you want to think the kids stole the hummer?

Speaker 2 (23:34):
No, but that was a big story and it cost
a lot of speculation. Wristen.

Speaker 5 (23:37):
Guys.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
The great philosopher Charles Barkley.

Speaker 5 (23:40):
Said, fifty percent of the people gonna love you, fifty
percent of the people won't hate you, And that's fifty
percent only gonna hate you because day life's up.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
You know what? That's tret as.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
Charles Barkerley also said, hindsight is whatever. Wayne in South Dakota,
what's up Wayne.

Speaker 8 (23:54):
It's a couple of things. One, I think it's timing.
It was many years ago. If he did that today,
I don't know if it would be is bad. And
the other thing is I don't need to hear how
good he is all the time from him. His work
is good enough, he doesn't need to say it.

Speaker 2 (24:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
He also embraced the King James, and he's putting the
crown on his head. Yeah, tiatrics, And look, which is
all great if you love him and you look at
it from a place of non hatred.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
See, I like that. I do too.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
But I think one of the things that was endearing
about Michael Jordan he would just shrug his shoulders like,
I don't know why I'm so great?

Speaker 2 (24:30):
Right? He would never put a crown on his head.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
And again he wasn't as outspoken dude, so less to
speculate on Tony in Miami.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
What's up, Tony?

Speaker 5 (24:41):
Guys, I have to explain this because I'm forty two
and I work at a gym, and there's a lot
of teenagers and people in college that like, look at me,
like muck is the really is some gladiator? Like why
is he the king again?

Speaker 2 (24:57):
Right?

Speaker 8 (24:58):
He's not.

Speaker 5 (25:00):
So I believe it's not as politics. I have to
disagree with one of the earlier callers. He's definitely not.
The hatred towards Kirby Brady is not the same. It's
it's different things. It's totally different things, and it's nowhere
near the hatred at Lebron. Lady will never be both
brewed at a super Bowl as he's you know, when

(25:21):
he showed on the big screen, and Kirby, even if
he was alive, would never get the animosity that Lebron
Lebron's situation is this there was a kind of it
touched in how we for fifty years, fifty sixty years,
and I want to go back ball in the early
you know, just class through the seventies and sixties and

(25:42):
of how we judge players. We get to twenty ten
and this guy thinks he's just gonna like pull a
teaching out and get the same respect where there's a
bookmark there and there's receipts and.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
Yeah, listen, when he said we're gonna win one, not one, two, three,
four five when he did that whole routine. I think
that also, not two, not three, not four, not five,
not six, not siven and oh boy, yeah, that was
part of it.

Speaker 9 (26:16):
All.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
I know what.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
We'll take the rest of your feedback, but let's go
to Isaac for an update, if that's cool with.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
You, and then back to the phone calls Isaac Lowen Crown.

Speaker 4 (26:23):
All right, fellas.

Speaker 7 (26:24):
Major League Baseball today suspended Milwaukee Brewers reliever Abner Uribe
six games for causing that bench clearing brawl in last
night's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. Brewers starting pitcher
Freddie Peralta was suspended five games. Brewers manager Pat Murphy
suspended two games. Major League Baseball also issued a three
game suspension to Tampa Bay outfielder Jose Siri.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
Three games. You gotta be kidding me. You can take
your suspension and shove it up here, Siri. Good one.

Speaker 4 (26:57):
All I asked was where's the nearest gas station?

Speaker 1 (27:00):
It was also the extensive coverage. You don't think that
when you were watching ESPN or any barbershop visit and
they're debating Jordan and Lebron, it just got She's got excessive.
You know, you're like, all right, enough enough Lebron coverage
all the time. And that's coming from guys again who

(27:21):
all appreciate Lebron James, especially Danny G who's a huge
Lakers fan. Danny G got any final words as to why, maybe, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
I think we covered it pretty well on AM five
seventy Our LA, our big LA affiliate yesterday. They were
really hard on Lebron because they wanted him to pick
up Jamal Murray at half court there on that final play.
They're like, if you're the star of the team, you
gotta go pick up Jamal Murray on defense, and they
basically called him a bum saying Lebron hasn't done anything

(27:50):
worthwhile for the Lakers.

Speaker 2 (27:52):
Completely disagree with that. Sound. Yeah, I don't know if
he deserves statues and stuff, but yeah.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
Exactly, Yeah, I'm not putting a Laker statue out front
for him, But to say he hasn't done anything for
the Lakers, that's a bunch of bull.

Speaker 1 (28:04):
Well that that's been the question this whole week, is
like did he underachieve in his Lakers experience? So Anthony
Edward's saying that we need to appreciate his greatness and
he's going to avenge Lebron moving forward.

Speaker 6 (28:18):

Speaker 2 (28:31):
Hey, this is Tom Berducci from Fox Sports, MLB Network
and Sports Illustrated, and I'm Joe Madden, and we're going
to be around to talk a little bit about managerial
decisions and what may have occurred to the dugout maybe
in the nineteen eighties. It's the Book of Joe podcast.
I can't wait for this, Joe.

Speaker 7 (28:46):
We're going to dive into what goes on in the
dugout and behind the scenes in Major League.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
Baseball, cars, wind, whatever else we want to talk about. Yeah,
well there are no boundaries, right.

Speaker 7 (28:54):
Listen to the Book of Joe podcast on the iHeartRadio app,
on Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcat casts.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
Lebron We talked Beesentuck Lebron Bees talk about the bees too,
What's up? Killer? Richard is a big fan of the
Killer Bees growing up.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Name the two killer Bees in WWF and I'll buy
you a coffee. I can't come on anyone b Brian
Blair and jump in Jim Brunzell, look at you. I
don't mind when I don't know, like I would admit,
I really I wouldn't know.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
I wouldn't have got that.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
But did you hear this? We're talking NBA lebron and
how Anthony Edwards is going to get his sweet revenge
on the Nuggets and Yokich.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
Uh. Something cool happening in that Sixers Knick series? Did
you see?

Speaker 1 (29:52):
Michael Rubin of Fanatics, A Fanatics said he Josh Harris,
David Blitzer, and David Adelman, who are part owners of
the group that owns the seventy six Ers, have bought
more than two thousand tickets for Game six, and we
absolutely cannot let Knicks fans take over our arena ever again,

(30:14):
giving them to first responders, healthcare professionals, and other local
Philadelphia based organizations, giving them to legit Sixers fans, not imposters.
Let's go Sixers. We could do this, So, I mean
they have the money to do that. When I said
Michael Rubin of Fanatics, he owns the Jersey Company, the

(30:37):
what would you even call it? The apparel company. He's
a shark on Shark Tank. Dude has billions, doesn't he
throw those huge parties to the white parties where everyone
wears white?

Speaker 2 (30:46):
Yeah, he's a big time player white party. What do
you mean? But yeah, I think that's pretty cool for
if you're a Sixers fan Philadelphia. You know, I like
because a lot of.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
Times when opposing fans say, you know, we're all going
to show up, especially when there's two cities that are
like an hour and a half two hours apart, like
Philly and New York, you could bombard the other stadium.
So that just makes that series a little more heated up.
If you asked me, Philly be interesting. All Right, we
are going to get to midweek major coming up. We

(31:18):
are going to get to a Mahome story, and I
think Mahomes needs to put fear aside. This guy's the
greatest athlete in the NFL right now, and I think
he's being a little, uh, a little bit of a.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
Be I'll explain why, pes. But I had a question
for you, Kabino about oh Ozempic. That's not it, that's
O'Reilly's face.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
O Zempic is always in the news because of like
Iowa Sam just referenced Ozempic face is the new craze
here in Los Angeles especially. People have this gaunt, soulless
look in their face, and it's caused by a side
effect of ozempic. Because people lose weight so fast it
takes takes a minute for your body to catch up,

(32:09):
so you like a ghoul.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
My mother's coworker lost forty pounds like a month.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
Yeah, I mean it works, but yeah, there's a lot
of side effects too. There's atrophy involved. Some people don't
bounce back. Sharon Osborne has said that she can't gain
weight back after it.

Speaker 3 (32:25):
People lose, people lose a ton of muscle. The nausea
is why they're losing weights. You throw up anything you
try to eat.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
Now, I lost my keys. But wait a minute, did
a boot just come out a license plate? What do
you got your stomach?

Speaker 2 (32:38):
So there's an ozempic question I want to ask because
Covino and I I'm not sure if we're on the
same page with this. I got a guy you.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
Think I couldn't lose if I've lost more than ten pounds,
I look sick.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
Shit. If you lose ten pounds in your head, do
you look normal? I'm six foot and I weigh about
one ninety if I any, if I was an if
I was anything less than like one to eighty something,
I would look at one time I lost weight to
see if I could get abs. Everyone's like, are you dying?
You sick? Like you can't.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
He's amazing, You've us about twenty pounds when you trimmed
your hair like a normal adult male on your head.
Used to have like huge likes on his hair. He
used to have like male Gibson called him sidepoofs yeah,
like he had huge Yeah. Rich got his first fade
within the past few years. So Melissa McCarthy's in the
news because she looks good. So I didn't know I
did the show with our video guy fashion model Spot,

(33:30):
Christian Swords.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
I keep up on the traps. I didn't know I did.
I did the Home of Fashionista.

Speaker 6 (33:39):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
I didn't know. Hansel was our video guy who man
up word burgers have been served. I just know there's
a story about Melissa McCarthy, Barber streisand and ozempic Who
would have thought that would be on the show More
next on FS one, FSR, whatever we are.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
I'm looking at the NBA schedule, Cavino.

Speaker 1 (34:02):
I was just gonna say, he Celtics tonight, Celtics up
three to one, MAVs Clippers, that's all time. And Game
five you gotta find stats. I'm sure whoever wins Game five.
Biggest story is the B guy throwing out the first pitch. Geez,
that's the biggest story.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
The B guy. What's his name again? His name is
Matt Hilton. He's the bee Keith.

Speaker 1 (34:25):
Yeah, he's got a new baseball card. That's the biggest story.
No MAVs Clippers tonight, that's all good. But we just
heard that the Sixers ownership bought thousands of tickets for
Game six Thursday night to make sure, Covino, to assure
there were no Shenanigans of Knicks fans trying to invade Philadelphia.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
But then how do you claim the ticket if you're
a Knicks fan.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
I'm saying me, the Sixer, they're giving him out to
the community. We're just handing them out, giving them out
to health workers.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
Some uh okay.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
I was gonna say, like a bunch of Knicks fans,
Michael Rubin, does he have any Billie Eilish tickets because
they went on sale?

Speaker 2 (35:06):
Yes, and your daughter wants to. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
Also, my point is that Game six is Thursday in Philly.
If the Sixers win, how great for the NBA and
just for basketball on the East Coast would be to
have Sixers Nicks Game seven at the Garden this weekend?

Speaker 2 (35:25):
Huge? Are you kidding? Huge? What a weekend it'll be?

Speaker 1 (35:30):
That would be Saturday, May the fourth, be with you
in New York City, MSG game seven if necessary?

Speaker 2 (35:38):
Well, happy Uno demayo.

Speaker 1 (35:39):
Everybody something takes a part of May and it's here
now this hour. Midweek major the biggest stories in the
world of sports and pop culture.

Speaker 2 (35:48):
We go over them. Are they mid week or major spots?

Speaker 1 (35:50):
Getting ready for that again, We're Covino and Rich with
Danny g and Iowa, Sam Iowa Samuel who you could
see on our Instagram story at Covino and Rich Isac
Scott your updates? But there's a story, and bear with me,
it's a weird one. Okay, weird names involved. But the
question is in today's world May twenty twenty four, today's world,

(36:14):
is it rude to ask someone how they lost weight?
Because I'm coming from a place of yo, Man, do
you switch up your diet? Tell me your secret? What
is your secret? Hit in the gym?

Speaker 2 (36:25):
What's going on?

Speaker 6 (36:26):
Man?

Speaker 2 (36:26):
What are you doing? You got a treadmill? You want
to staremask one is?

Speaker 9 (36:31):
Y'all?

Speaker 2 (36:31):
What is? That's all I'm asking. But here's what happened.

Speaker 1 (36:35):
So in the kitchen, Melissa McCarthy rich one of your favorites,
Mike and Motley, She's hilarious. She posts a picture with
this dude named Adam Shankman, who's like a director, producer, choreographer. Right,
So they're going to an event together or something. Her
and it's Adam Shankman.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
Fellow, where's her husband?

Speaker 1 (36:56):
And the picture gets a little buzz is start going
viral because and this is a compliment. Melissa McCarthy looks terrific,
but she looks noticeably slim.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
You have this image of her in your mind, right,
she looks great.

Speaker 1 (37:12):
I mean, Mike and Molly was based on them eating
it right and then them eating the meeting at Eaters.
Anonymous that the whole show with her and Billy Gardell
Mike and Molly was based off of two big people
falling in love. So Melissa shining away from like she's
a big woman. She looked terrific, in her light green
dress and matching blazer alongside the stylish Shankman, Adam Shankman,

(37:36):
and everybody is just saying how great she looks, and
she does. And then Barbara streisand of all people, this
is the story. How night, this is the dumbest story, right,
Barbara streisand of all people says, hey, give him my regards,

(37:57):
meaning her date to this event, right this Adam Shankman, Guy,
hey give him my regards?

Speaker 2 (38:02):
Did you take ozempic? Now?

Speaker 1 (38:06):
Seems a little like out of left field to say
or ask that to somebody in the comment in a
public space.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
But as a result, she got so much backlash.

Speaker 1 (38:19):
Barbara Streisan barbiasts dragged on social media to the point
where she's like, she feels terrible about it, and she's apologizing,
like everyone on full attack. Everyone went on full attack mode.
I'm Barbara streisand like, how rude can you be? You
don't ask somebody that?

Speaker 2 (38:38):
And I get it.

Speaker 1 (38:39):
But the story is Barbara Streis se is like one
hundred and eighty five years old, right, and she's personal
friends with McCarthy and she doesn't really understand that that
was like out there to the public. Yes, she she said, Oh,
I forget sometimes that these social media comments are to
the world, not just to the person she's thinking. She's
just sending it to Melissa. Let me guess, is Barbara

(39:02):
Streisand in her eighties?

Speaker 2 (39:03):
Yeah? I think she's a eighty two or something. Yeah,
so it's an eighty something.

Speaker 1 (39:06):
You're old woman. But here's where society's wrong. See, we
learn about not only sports, but we learn about life
on kaviinon Rich. Here's where society is wrong. And this
applies to sports, marriage, music, life, anything in your world.
So this is not just about Melissa McCarthy. This applies
to you listening again at the workplace, in your marriage,

(39:29):
with your family. If the person who could possibly be
offended isn't, then why are you weirdos? If Melissa McCarthy goes, oh,
Barbara Streisand's an old friend, I don't.

Speaker 2 (39:46):
Care, then then it should be over. If it's zippy.
Let's say someone offends I don't know, a famous rock party.

Speaker 1 (39:55):
Okay, rock party. I was gonna bring race into this,
but okay, that's a better example. If maybe stick to
Brock Party again.

Speaker 2 (40:03):
If Brock purty, if Brock Party is insulted on social
media or something could be interpreted as an insult for
being a white quarterback.

Speaker 1 (40:12):
Yeah, let's say Cam Newton, well, you know went offs
for some reason.

Speaker 2 (40:17):
That's far fetched. White people and.

Speaker 1 (40:20):
Rock Party's like, yeah, I don't care. Then no one
else should care. No one else should care. There's a
funny viral video right where there's this white kid and
he's wearing a mustache and a sombrero and a poncho
and it is sinking to my own weekend coming up, right, Yeah,
and you're Mexican about it, and I'm I'm my mom's
from Mexico half Mexican.

Speaker 2 (40:36):
Right.

Speaker 1 (40:38):
He goes up to all these Mexican dudes and he goes,
does my outfit offend you?

Speaker 2 (40:44):
And everyone's like, no, you look great. It's really funny, right, Nah,
I think it's good. I don't care. You're you're you're
celebrating our culture.

Speaker 1 (40:51):
Have fun with it. I don't know, have fun. No
one cares. And then he'd go up to all these
other people. Let's kid, let's be honest, eye rolling college kids.
He goes to these irollic college kids, mostly white kids,
but younger kids, that was the point, and all of
them are like, well, is that your culture? And he's like,
obviously no, but I'm celebrating it. And they're like, well

(41:12):
then it's racist and you can't be wearing that.

Speaker 2 (41:13):
I'm offended. It's cultural appropriation. I don't like it. But
Rich is saying, if the Mexican people didn't care, then
why do you care so much? If Melissa McCarthy is
not offended by Barbara Streisan's tweet, why are you if
Lebron or Tom Brady or whatever superstar is that's being
dragged or something on for something they said or did,
If they're not upset, then why I should alleviate that's you?

(41:38):
It's being upset?

Speaker 5 (41:39):
Now?

Speaker 2 (41:40):
Should But that would imply we live in a perfect
world and we don't.

Speaker 1 (41:44):
But it's it just goes back to the staying your lane, fools,
mind your own business. I would love for Barbi Streis
and to call me fat or like, ask me if
I'm taking all was up there? Maybe should write a
song about it. I would love it. Now, hold on,
here's here's where the question lies though. In thanks world though,
and we were talking about this before the show started.
We're hanging out with Big Mike. It runs his place,
Big Mic, Big Mike, and the question is actually the

(42:07):
result is taking a waspic so he can just be Mike, Well,
is it rude to ask someone how they lost the weight?

Speaker 2 (42:14):
And Mike really hit it on the head.

Speaker 1 (42:17):
Yes, yes, but it didn't used to be because now
it implies that there could have been a shortcut before
there really were no shortcuts. So you were just asking, hey,
are you using uh watching the deal? Didn't pick Mike

(42:39):
go on to say I like him big like McCarthy.

Speaker 2 (42:41):
Didn't he say that? I thought I did say that,
but no, it is interesting he said that where where is?
Where's the line?

Speaker 1 (42:49):
Because if I bump into an old friend, I'm going
back to New York this weekend seeing some old friends,
some co workers. If I bump into one of my palaces,
you're hanging out with Ebenezer, not like old friends like
Fred and Ethel. So when I go back to New York,
if I bump into one of my buddies and all
of a sudden his dad beer guts gone, it's not fair.

Speaker 2 (43:09):
To be like, dude, you look great, How did you
trim up? How do you lose weight?

Speaker 1 (43:13):
We're coming from a complimentary tell us your story play.
People want to talk about it. But Sam, the more
and more of those media keep in mind, right, fake world. Right,
we live in La so it's it's much different. We
are exposed to this a lot. But Hollywood has huge
influence on everybody.

Speaker 2 (43:30):
I don't know what this means. But Shay one of
the great editors, that cool young kid here, Yeah, he said, uh, Hollywood,
watch out.

Speaker 1 (43:40):
It's changing the way we look at these things because
all these Hollywood people are losing tons of weight.

Speaker 2 (43:48):
They don't even look the same.

Speaker 1 (43:49):
They got ozembic face, dealing with these side effects, but
they're losing weight, and then it inspires or influences a
lot of regular people, young people to want to take
that short cut. So it's now a question that becomes
sensitive where it wasn't before. Everyone saying is being being

(44:09):
torn up on social media as a result. Anyone that's
significantly overweight, wouldn't you rather be skinny with droopy face?
Like if ozepic works for you? And I'm not endorsed
by ozempic, I don't give a crap, But what do
you think that if people were very like obese ozepic,
they should do it?

Speaker 2 (44:25):
No?

Speaker 1 (44:26):
Because I'm pretty sure you got to take it to
keep the results. So now you're saying yes, it's like
it's not you know that either exactly. It's made for diabetes,
right right, but you know how this is a weird analogy.
But if you start propecia, right, you have to keep
taking it because once you stop, then your hair starts
falling at again. I believe it's the same thing with ozempic,

(44:46):
like once you stop taking it, you're you're sort of
gonna be gaining all that weight back, unless, of course,
you have a weird side effect like Sharon Osborne claims
she has where she can't.

Speaker 2 (44:56):
Gain way back now.

Speaker 1 (44:58):
So I feel like you're saying yes to it rich
pretty much for a lifetime.

Speaker 2 (45:03):
Cavino who has a full head of hair, a pompadoor
to a door, Thank you, thanks for the pumpliment. You
told me once that you like preemptively use like hair
loss products. I do.

Speaker 1 (45:13):
Sometimes what if you're not not pills, not prope what
if your girlfriend has replaced them with like sugar pills
and all a sudden Convino comes in ball you're just
spreading rumors. Now he's a cheap pet. I'm like ro
gain or not anything. What Monoxy do. I don't take
anything like hymns or pro piche or anything like that,
because once you start you got to continue. Same with
ozepic to my understanding, But either way, it poses the question, guys,

(45:38):
in today's world, has it become a rude question to
ask how did you lose that weight? Well, let me
ask Danny G. Because Danny G. I know because we
see him every day. But Danny G cut out sugar,
cleaned up his diet, and Danny lost a nice amount
a way Danny. So Danny, if someone you haven't seen
it in a little while, was like, Yo, Danny G,
looking trim, you lose a couple of pounds?

Speaker 2 (45:57):
How'd you do it? Is that a rude question to you?
I would pull out my ozembic needle and shut it.
To him, what is Yeah?

Speaker 3 (46:05):
First of all, it's crazy because I have tattoos. Yeah,
But sticking a needle in myself for something like that drug,
I could not do that. I'd have to have a
doctor do it, I guess, and look the other way.

Speaker 2 (46:17):
Sure he'll do it for you.

Speaker 3 (46:19):
But I feel like like what Covino was saying though
about drugs and getting hooked and then getting into that
pattern that's the one thing about uh, your health as
far as weight loss goes. If you do it the
right way, you can maintain it. I feel like if
you take a shortcut, it's going to come back to
bite you in the ass.

Speaker 2 (46:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (46:37):
Well, it's not the same thing as ozempic. But Cavino
every year, maybe for a couple of months, Cavino goes
full keto diet and he trims up like he's in
his fighting weight. But you can't do that permanently, right, No,
I mean it's not the healthiest way to do it.
But if you could get on a good track and
spot You made this point earlier when we were talking

(46:57):
about this, if you're going to use it to get
on the right track and then change your habits, yeah,
like then that's the key, right, that's the that's the
way you got to approach these things. Work with a trainer,
and I've worked with him for a while now, o
gun thor Gable Williams, and I asked him about this,
what like when it was very popular and people were
talking about it. He's like, you know, if this is

(47:18):
what it takes for someone to get on the right track,
lose a little bit of weight, feel comfortable. As long
as they're changing their habits and making it a permanent
like a step towards a permanent lifestyle, like working out,
eating better, just taking better care of yourself, then he
supports it. But if people are using it as a
magic pill, then it's not gonna be sustainable and it's

(47:40):
only going to be detrimental. So how did you lose
all that weight?

Speaker 2 (47:43):
I'll give you a top to It came a long ways,
but your first trainer was at SeaWorld. Right, Oh man, dude,
he just called you shamoo.

Speaker 1 (47:51):
You know that was a really good joke. So I'm
gonna let it slide. Yeah, but I'm fuming inside. Right,
the top two answers on the board in today's world, especially, Yes,
I respect the game. I took ozembic or really funny,
I gave up soda And it could be as simple
as that. You don't know how many times people are like, yeah,

(48:13):
just start bringing soda.

Speaker 2 (48:15):
So they called a post malone. Yeah, sodas gave up sodas.

Speaker 1 (48:20):
Yeah, people ask post Malone like yo, yo, he lost
like fifty pounds.

Speaker 2 (48:25):
Yeah he got that. He was getting the ozempic question
a lot. Yeah, and it was soda. According to him,
it's not just soda. That's what he said. I gave
up soda in the mid two thousand.

Speaker 1 (48:33):
Yeah, but sometimes sometimes it's what's really doing the most damage.
You know, a lot of guys listening to our show
that are driving around the country, truck drivers and guys
that are keeping America running. A lot of truck drivers
their biggest obstacle is how do I eat and drink
clean while I'm driving around the country.

Speaker 2 (48:49):
They're big gulping all day.

Speaker 1 (48:50):
Yeah, And honestly, if you're if your regimen is let
me grab a hot dog and a big gulp from
seven eleven is convenient, we get it. You do that
too much, it piles on and then if you cut
that out, you will trim up. So I would say
this to wrap it up. Yeah, I guess it is
sensitive in today's world because if you're using social media
as any sort of indicator, it's a wrong thing to ask, right,

(49:13):
because it implies you may have taken a short cut,
that shortcut being ozembic. But I would say, to wrap
it up, give up the sodis before you dive into
that world and see if you get any results. True,
I do love a sodi though I only drink soda.
I only drink soda. On one occasion, I drink quite
one coke zero. I'll I only drink soda.

Speaker 2 (49:37):
Right, hangou out with a Hamburger?

Speaker 1 (49:39):
How could you read? No, I drink soda. Actually, you
know what I thought about it. I drink soda as
a mixer for alcohol or pizza. It's the only time
my wife and I are like, well, you know, need
something's get two liters of coke?

Speaker 2 (49:49):
Yeah, Leans, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (49:52):
But you know, before we get to Mahomes and Spot's
got a bunch of great stories in the world of
sports for Midweek Major, we'll go over all the hot stories.
Home story that I think is hilarious. I think he's
sudden being a little bit of a whimp. So Mahomes
the greatest NFL quarterback of the last maybe twenty five years.
I'm so sorry. I just realized. I realized something before

(50:12):
we really move on. Yeah, rude to ask how you
lost weight? You know what it used to be the answer?
It went from like weight watchers, weight watchers, to CrossFit, No,
it's CrossFit, right, CrossFit, and then to you know, I'm
working out, MMA, is it really good? You gotta fight
coming up and now and now it's like go zemping.

(50:35):
That's what you're implying. It's true. All right, well we're
gonna get to all that. Like I said, Midweek Major, Well,
it's time to get into a little midweek major.

Speaker 2 (50:48):
Let's go.

Speaker 6 (50:51):
Covino and Rich get you over the middle of the
week when mid Week Major Major.

Speaker 2 (50:57):
I love that we.

Speaker 6 (50:58):
Throw sports and pop culture headlines and topics at the
fellas and it's like the kids.

Speaker 5 (51:04):
Say, that's summit.

Speaker 6 (51:05):
We definitely major seeing our score Midweek Major.

Speaker 2 (51:11):
Oh, let's go.

Speaker 3 (51:23):
Just took a shot of zempic in the bathroom right
before that night.

Speaker 2 (51:27):
Yeah, you got actual lung capacity. You're good. How'd you
do it? And a shot of Jaegerbobs.

Speaker 3 (51:34):
Before I hand things over to the number one and
only hosted this segment. We like to roll the big
red love dice in the main studio.

Speaker 1 (51:41):
By the way, you want to do Kamakazi shots with
uh with Rob Harker, I have.

Speaker 2 (51:48):
Wrote this is to see who gets first take.

Speaker 1 (51:53):
Another seven seven seven seven All right now, Riches roll.

Speaker 3 (52:01):
Rich is the big wiener on this and that means
he gets to answer the topics first. And now, ladies
and gentlemen, the most famous person from Scotch playing's New
Jersey besides Judy Bloom, Spotty Boy, well.

Speaker 2 (52:15):
Danny, we added someone to them. Yeah someone, Yeah, who
is it?

Speaker 1 (52:18):
We just looked up the owners of the Sixers. We
just said they bought tickets for the fans. As I
was looking up the owner, guess where he was born?
Scott Scotch playing with New Jersey. Hold On, hold on,
hold on, I don't know his name. God, I was
born in Nork, New Jersey. I'm not from Nork, New Jersey.
I'm from Union, New Jersey. So just because you're born somewhere,
doesn't mean you're from true could.

Speaker 2 (52:39):
Have been the only hospital. I think that's where he
grew up. There was no hospital in town, so that's
his hometown. What you got fun?

Speaker 1 (52:47):
Well, since I'm starting, I was gonna start with boxing,
but since I'm starting with you, I can't.

Speaker 6 (52:51):
I'll go ahead.

Speaker 2 (52:51):
I'll love Taita for sure. Fine.

Speaker 1 (52:54):
As you know, Canelo was amping up to fight Mungia
this weekend for Single to My Own Vegas, and Canela
had some choice words for Oscar de la Hoya at
the pre fight press conference to see the clips floating
around online. I'll try and dance around the words here
because there's a lot of explotives.

Speaker 2 (53:08):
Oh, I can't wait.

Speaker 1 (53:09):
So de la Hoya was addressing Canel or like standing
at the podium, and he said, the company you fought
under for decades Golden Boy. Sorry, he said that Golden
Boy built Canelo Alvarez and that company has always has
always had one name on it, and it's mind, meaning
Oscar de la Hoya.

Speaker 2 (53:28):
So put some fing respect on it. And then right
after that Canelo started screaming.

Speaker 9 (53:33):
In Spanish, because of course he's Spanish. He says he's
an effing a hole. That's what I say. He tried
to get attention for him, not Mungia. He steals from
his fighters. M Ever, that's a good Canalo. By the way,
that's pretty much I learned from you.

Speaker 1 (53:47):
I'm actually just doing an impression of you doing an
impression of.

Speaker 6 (53:52):
Right.

Speaker 1 (53:53):
Well, they they worked together in previous years, part of
it on not so good terms. So so far, I
feel like this interaction is getting way more high in
the actual fight. Yet this is so this is major
and I'll cast it more long. It was so much explanation,
but I'll pass most of it to Cavino, who's a
big fight fan. But I will say this, Canelo and
Mungia not doing the best job selling this fight. That's

(54:14):
not their strength. Their strengths are in the ring. They're
not great promotional guys. So I like that Oscar de
la Hoya has inserted himself a few days start, a
few days before the fight, trying to get some hype.

Speaker 2 (54:23):
I think it's great.

Speaker 1 (54:24):
Well, Dale Joya, and again, this just happened this afternoon.
Jane got heated, and you're gonna see on your social
media feed and on the news tonight people will be
talking about it because dale Joya goes to explain that
Canelo hasn't done much to promote this fight. All he's
done was slandered dal la Joya in the process, calling

(54:47):
him out with his drug problems and his mental issues
and things like that. So de e Hooya's ownership like, yeah,
I may be all this and all that, but I
put you on the map, dude, don't you forget it.
And that's where it got heated. But de la Joya
also did say that he'd never take anything away from
the greatness that is Canelo. He thinks he's one of

(55:09):
the greatest of all time. It's just when it comes
to his outside the ring antics and his loyalty.

Speaker 2 (55:15):
No bueno.

Speaker 1 (55:16):
And I'll say this is major for the simple reason
of this brought the height that we all want to feel.

Speaker 2 (55:21):
This sinkle to my ow weekend.

Speaker 1 (55:24):
But it makes you want to see uh De la
Joya in his prime against Canelo. Mungia is just sort
of a chess piece of this, says who. That's why
I am excited about it and have a shun. I
wouldn't care to bet on Mungia. That doesn't prove ject
Lee's squat. I'm not a gambling guy.

Speaker 2 (55:42):
On your own, chef, on your own.

Speaker 1 (55:44):
You bet on it all right, I'm watching. I don't
need qubet to be excited about sports. You know why,
I actually like sports. I don't need to bet on
it to add to the fun. Rich doesn't like sports
sports accentive. It's like how porn desensitizes your expectations in
the bedroom.

Speaker 2 (56:04):
If Rich doesn't have money on the game, the game's
not as exciting. I'm with Steve here.

Speaker 1 (56:08):
Well, I've heard you're pretty boring in the bedroom from women.
I thought, you know, what. You're truly not excited by
the actual event. Okay, I am for being brown on
the outside. You're pretty vanilla.

Speaker 2 (56:23):
Man. I got a couple of singers today, good night.

Speaker 1 (56:31):
Ale.

Speaker 2 (56:33):
You aving a nobody?

Speaker 6 (56:36):
All right?

Speaker 2 (56:36):
What else we got? Spot? I don't even want to
go with anything, all right.

Speaker 1 (56:40):
Charles Barkley has weighed in on the on again, off
again relationship between Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan. He appeared
on Shannon Sharp's podcast Called and said that there are
only losers in the scenario. He said he feels bad
for Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen amid the messy the
quote messy coupling. He said that it's so and I
don't like MESSI because when it's MESSI and I don't

(57:02):
mean that soccer player. Everyone has an opinion on it,
and you know the internet is not a place for MESSI.
He also said that he feels bad for Michael and
Scotty's relationship, saying it'll never be the same.

Speaker 2 (57:12):
Yeah, Midweek or major.

Speaker 1 (57:13):
I think it's major because there's three hundred plus million Americans,
let alone billions of people around the world, and Michael
Jordan's son is trying to somehow salvage a romance with
Scotty Pippins X wife and you on you're both attractive
and have money.

Speaker 2 (57:29):
There's other booty out there, move alf, you know.

Speaker 1 (57:33):
I think this is really unfortunate because I've been seeing
a lot of promos for the last dance. They've been
airing it again, or they're talking about airing it again
maybe in July. Came out in July twenty twenty, and
there's a famous SoundBite where Jordan says something like anytime
you mentioned my name, you should also mention Scotty Pippins's name,
something along those lines, like give them credit. Like I

(57:54):
couldn't have done it without Scotty. I know I'm the legend,
but his name should be mentioned when mine is. And
look what happened as a result of this, Like that's horrible.
I agree Major, we're talking legendary people, and I agree
with Charles Barkley. So it is now a bad time
to tell you that my son is with your ex
wife exactly.

Speaker 2 (58:15):
What. He's four years old?

Speaker 1 (58:17):
I know, crazy, all right, this is crazy, Tiger would
sixteen year old daughter definitely won't be following at her
father's legendary footsteps. At an interview with Carson Daley on
Today which took place today, Tiger explained that his daughter
has a negative connotation to the game because quote, it
took daddy away from her. He explained that he used

(58:39):
to pick up and be gone for weeks when he
was on tour. She's still very supportive. She caddied for
him in a championship in December, gave a speech at
his Hall of Fame induction ceremony, and they find ways
to bond outside of golf related things. That being said,
he said, his son him. He and his son do
everything golf. They love talking golf. So obviously midwek or
major golf. I think it's at a mid I mean
not everyone's gonna like what their parents do, and I

(59:00):
get it psychologically, it took daddy away, so she's not
gonna love it.

Speaker 2 (59:03):
You can't expect everyone to love what you do.

Speaker 1 (59:04):
If you expect your kids to love everything you like,
you're gonna be pretty disappointed.

Speaker 6 (59:08):
You know.

Speaker 1 (59:08):
I couldn't agree more with Rich. It's a mid story.
It's an understandable story. His son is way into it,
his daughter is not. That's like expecting my daughter to
be into broadcasting and boxing like you.

Speaker 2 (59:20):
Think she cares about like, she doesn't care at all.
She loves rock music. She likes rock music.

Speaker 1 (59:23):
You Well, that's the point you find the things that
you could find common ground on.

Speaker 2 (59:27):
Andy.

Speaker 1 (59:29):
No, she doesn't care at all about the yank you know,
as much as I wish she would. You want your
kid to like the things you do, but that's what
makes them an individual, and you embrace them for that,
Saren Judge.

Speaker 2 (59:40):
Yeah, one more stuff at all, one more quickie spot.

Speaker 1 (59:43):
Uh, do you want a Kelsey story or something else?

Speaker 2 (59:48):
Is it Kelsey joining Monday Night or anything?

Speaker 1 (59:50):
No, it's Kelsey all right, Okay, fine, I'll just give
you the Kelly. I'll make it quick, so he said
on the podcast this week New Heights Podcasts. Are we
something out of that that after he bought you, he
bought his mansion once he started dating Taylor Swift because
everyone knew where he bought this mansion because he was
dating Taylor Swift. Apparently he's beginning so much random mail
from people like fans and swifties that he had to

(01:00:11):
turn off his mail. So anytime if you send anything
to his house, it gets returned to sending midwi you'r major.

Speaker 2 (01:00:17):
It's a great mid story and on next you got rich.
You'll love this one.

Speaker 1 (01:00:21):
Yeah, I'll squeeze one more in, you know lsu Gymnast
Livy Dunn. Of course I doubt so. Of course Elsey
over Livy Donald. Let's pay attention Rich, because you're gonna
love this. She will now be charging her fans for content.
She teased the big announcement on our social media, which
just turned out to be something. It's a passes account,
which is apparently like only fans, but without any of

(01:00:43):
the explicit content. That being said, they do allow quote risk,
thirst traps, live streams with imply nudity, and direct messaging.
Apparently you can get two hundred messages I don't know
if they're like messages with her for up to one
hundred bucks. Let's probably hire someone to put some requests
for three hundred dollars. There's all tiers of this, so Rich,
if you want to get closer to to be done,

(01:01:03):
now's your.

Speaker 2 (01:01:04):
T I think I'm good. You know you signing up
for only gym this dot com or no, I'm not
that desperate.

Speaker 1 (01:01:08):
No thanks, I have I'm to say I've never signed
up for anybody's only Fans page or low Lonely Fans
page or any of those pages.

Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
Never know why, because you could find so much free
stuff online. Hold on, you can always if someone has
an only fans you can always google that plus leaks
and see if something comes up. Done and man, and
that's how it ends. Thank you spun all.

Speaker 1 (01:01:32):
Right, man with the best only fans around, mister Isaac Lowenkron.

Speaker 7 (01:01:35):
Hey, hey, Isaac, Apparently my thirst traps were deemed a
little too risque. Unfortunately, there's some maintenance going on on
my passes account.

Speaker 4 (01:01:49):
That's going on on my passes account.
