Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, this is the Doug Gottle Show. Here in
the Bonus with Doug Gottley.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Got got the show with the Bones, Fox Sports Radio,
iHeartRadio app Welcome in. Today's show is being broadcast from
American Family Field, which is where the Brewers play, which
this is now my second game I'm going to attend
tonight this season and my third event because I went

(00:37):
to a Zach Brown Kenny Chesney concert here about two
weeks ago, and both times the dome was closed previously.
Now the dome is open and in things I don't
understand it. Look, I I do have I'm pretty intelligent, fella.
But the things I know about I know about the
things I don't know about I will just tell you.
Like I'm a dope, I don't I don't know about

(00:58):
certain things. I don't really understand the need. You know,
there's this push earlier this year for the Brewers to
have a new stadium. I did go to games in
the old County Stadium, right remember County Stadium was also
home for I think two games of the year the
Green Bay Packers. And to those of us who are
super dorks about this, I think that's where they filmed
the major League's great. Yeah, so obviously this place is

(01:21):
way better. It's cool. It kind of jumps out at
you now. It's i don't know, fifteen minutes or so
from downtown from the Lake, it's right out. It's freeway close.
It is a bit of a cluster, you know what,
getting out of a stadium, but there's very few stadiums
that aren't cluster, you know what. It's not like Dodger
Stadium level, but for Milwaukee, kind of a cluster getting out.
But it's a cool place. Gigantic video board in centerfield,

(01:43):
which I think is new, I mean, is it's a
large one, and yeah, the roof will leak a little bit,
but it's not like it's like a sieve. It's not
like there's a water faucet like kind of going through.
I mean, I don't know. It's ope. It's got those
the concourses where you can see the field while you're
getting something to eat. For the most part, the popcorn
here is next level because they do the real there's

(02:05):
these things you go like the real Wisconsin butter So
I don't anyway, I'm thrown out the first pitch. Whenever
you've download this podcast, I've probably thrown it out, and
I don't know if I've ever told you the story, Jason,
but this is the second first pitch I've thrown out.
But this is the first where I feel fully healthy
in doing so. So this is about God, I'm getting old.

(02:27):
Fourteen years ago, fourteen years ago, the same show went
on air in southern California on the Anaheim affiliate, which
also was for the Angels. So they wanted me, a
hometown boy, fly me out from Connecticut and throw out
the first pitch. So and it was right about now

(02:48):
to it wasn't quite spe time, but it was right
about now. So I flew out from Connecticut and I
land in LA. And I had to do a couple
appearances in LA, and they put me up at some
kind of random I think it was like West Hollywood hotel.
Wasn't like a name. It was felt like more of
a motel. And I was so tired that when I

(03:10):
got back to the room, I like took off my shirt.
I probably still had my jeans on or something, and
I fell asleep and the window air unit, Yeah, that's
the type of motel I was in. Thank UESPN was
pumping air on my back of my neck. So I
woke up and I used to get this from stress
and travel still do some I had all these like
knots in my back of my neck. So I was

(03:34):
like freaking out because I couldn't lift my arms up
because I was so locked up in my back of
my neck. So I called a masseuse, and I know
you're thinking West Hollywood called massuse, not that kind of
Johnny drama massage, like a real massage therapist. And this
woman came in. She like like really got that. She

(03:54):
did the elbows on the knots thing, super painful whatever,
and I thought I was good. But the problem is
you ever got one of those massages. While it does
like flesh out those spasms, eventually the blood comes like
rushing back in. So I woke up the next day
and it was even worse toly locked up. So I
go down to Orange County and I'll never forget. My

(04:14):
dad was having an AAU practice at Anaheim Sports Center
which is now open Gym Premiere, and one of his
players Dad's was a chiropractor and on a metal bench
he adjusted me and if not for that adjustment, I
wouldn't have been able to throw out the first pitch.
But the Angels kind of screwed me because like, look,

(04:34):
I play catch up now. My son's been older. Now
you know this is my someone's like one at the time.
I mean, he doesn't play baseball anymore. But I have
thrown the baseball enough over the past fifteen years of
his life where you know, I'm actually one of the
great VP pitchers in the history of pony baseball anyway,
But they didn't allow me to bring a glove, and

(04:56):
without a glove, you can't play catch and warm up. Now,
they it was high heat. It probably tailed in to
the right and was might have been a ball. I
think a right hander would have swung with that late
movement and would have kind of jammed him. A left
hander would have either let it go for a ball
or taken it kind of down to you know, they

(05:16):
went OPO won't reniac if you will. I think I
might have been in trouble for a single, but I
did not throw a perfect strike. So the goal tonight
is to one find a glove where I can play
some cats. Before I threw out the first pitch. And
if you're wondering, like, hey, how come we don't have
a MIT. It's because upon moving my pod with all
of my lifely possessions just to ride to my house,

(05:39):
and I don't know where the MIT is in it,
and I have to dig through a bunch of stuff.
So I got a commandeer a MIT, and then I
got to try and throw a strike. Because I have
several hundred dollars bets, including my buddy RB, who's betting
me one hundred dollars. I can't throw a strike, So
the question is do I go stretch or wind up?
Jase two?

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Uh, Stretch probably a little less complicated, and I mean
the strike is very subjective, right, it could be borderline strike.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
I mean basically just get over the plate without lollipopping it.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
Well, that's really no.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
I mean it sounds like it's easy, but you get
one shot at it. It's not like you get to
get out there and throw warm up pitches where you
get to have a bullpen session and then you come
in sweat and you got all that energy like you're
basically standing there and then somebody goes, okay, go out
and you wave and then you throw the ball and
then the catcher comes and gives you the ball and
you take a picture. That's how you do it.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Oh okay, well, after you just said it that way,
I'll take one hundred against you doing.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
It all right, So this is another hundred dollars bet.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
Let's do it.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
I'm in, I'm in.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Doug Gottlieb
Show weekdays at three pm Eastern noon Pacific on Fox
Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Let's get to what the Fox says and now everyday
the time that Doug got Limb showing the bonus podcast
you play for you. A portion of a previous show
on Fox Sports Radio and Fox Sports One. Here's Dan
Patrick talking about Jalen Brown.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
I think you're probably looking at this team going if
Jalen Brown doesn't play, how's he going to react to this?
If Derek White doesn't play, we know how he's going
to react. He'll be fine. He's on the Olympic team.
Great experience. Jalen Brown's probably saying, I'm up there in
the conversation of best player in the world. I should

(07:25):
be playing. I'm a star, and I think that probably
factored in. Do I think Nike the sponsorship aspect, probably not,
But I mean nothing is out of the realm of
possibility here with what he thinks. I don't know if
there's more to the story. Feels like they're it feels

(07:48):
like there's a little bit more to the story. I
just don't know what direction to go in on this.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Okay, Well, I talked about this a little bit in
the radio show, but we'll talk about again here in
the pot, which is you have gotten to this place,
and Dan, by the way, is right, Jalen Brown would
be a colossal pain in the ass if he didn't play.
Derek White is the for lack of a better term,
fat girl, the problem, just happy to be there, right.
So that's what a little bit of this about. Additionally,

(08:15):
they've been able to assess their team and what their
team needs. Hey, when you have Steph Curry, who's as
good as shooters possible. What Steph Curry's weakness? He not
very good defensively, He's not very big and not very good.
Derek White is an excellent defender and he doesn't need
the ball to be great. Let the other guys handle
the basketball and then he can defend multiple positions. So

(08:39):
you know, I also think there has to be a
portion of it if you listen to Jason Tatum. By
the way, guys, do we have what Jason Tatum said?
We played this for you yesterday, but I want you
to listen again. This was Jason Tatum when asked about
Jalen Brown not being selected. I know, ooh, I don't

(09:06):
know if that works. That doesn't work. Top not having
Jalen hand huh yeah.

Speaker 5 (09:13):
I mean there's so many guys that could you know,
take the last spot or whatever.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
So it is. I mean, dude, you want to talk
about Dan Patrick saying there's got to be something else
there that was not Jason Tatum. All Jason Dame I
had to say is, dude, Jalen Brown is my rider
died That's my right hand guy. He just went Finals MVP.
I am crushed that he's not here. I wish every

(09:41):
time I take the court, I want to see Jaylen
Brown there, and he didn't. He said, like, let's play
that for you one more time. There are a lot
of guys take a list of more time. Top not having.

Speaker 5 (09:53):
Jalen Han huh yeah. I mean there's so many guys
that could you know, take a look last pot or whatever.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
So it is.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
There's so many guys that could dude, Yes, there is
something there. He has worned out. It's pretty obvious that
Jlen Brown super talented player. We've told you before about
all his political activism, Like, look, there's just a lot.
He's just he's just a lot. And it sounds like
Jason Tatum's like, yeah, I'm good. I've had I have

(10:26):
my time, you know, eight months out of the year
with Jalen Brown. I want my month to myself with
these other players. If that doesn't tell you all you
need to know, nothing does. This is Brady Quinn LeVar
Arrington talking about Bill Belichick joining inside the NFL on CW.

Speaker 6 (10:43):
I do think this is one of those moments where
Belichick can flex his knowledge, flex his experience, everything else
that you know, he's he's learned, he's done. He can
showcase to any franchise on TV to put pressure on
any coaches that are in the hot seat in the
NFL that he's still out there, he's available. I mean,

(11:05):
you have this unique window of opportunity and very similar
to what we just talked about with Aaron Rodgers and
the Jets. You've got a three four year period where
if you bring in Bill Belichick, he can build this
thing and he can put together a plan that with
the right piece that I think will be one of the.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Best in the NFL.

Speaker 6 (11:24):
And so it's almost like a warning signer or alert
that like make sure he reminds everyone he's still there
and he's still lurking out there and maybe once that
opportunity to come back and coach again.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Listen.

Speaker 7 (11:37):
I think it's a great move by the CW to
do it at that type of you know, type of
swag to your staff. I think people will be more
interested in finding the c W if they don't already
know where it is. So I think that's a great move.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Okay, So aware the CW doesn't program inside the NFL.
Inside the NFL is programmed by a product I mean,
is produced by a production company, and the CW just
broadcast that they have the rights. Okay, so yeah, it
does it make sense for the CW to me. Obviously,
Bill Belichick wants to stay relevant in the space and

(12:20):
inside the NFL has always you know, up until NFL
Live and some of the ESPN shows and even NFL
Network shows, it used to be the home for people
who love the NFL. Like I'm sure when he was
first starting out in the NFL. That's what people watched
that those days are gone. It's really hard to have
tape programming, super hard to have taped programming. And if

(12:46):
you have tape programming, it just becomes delayed. Right Like
if you this is why what's his name, Bill Simmons,
right or Bill Simmons HBO show, Jason, it's why it
didn't work right because you can't things. You can't pre write.
You know this. You can't pre write scripts for radio shows,
for TV shows like the night before. You can't record

(13:08):
things the day before because things change. So I do
feel like part of the play. While it's he can
be really good on tape and he can break down film.
If they just have him breaking down film, what would
Bill Belichick watch in a film room? Everybody should and
will watch inside the league. But I also think it's
a little bit dated because inside the NFL's jumped to
Shark years ago. It has nothing new with the CW.

(13:32):
Do I think it's Belichick to try and stay relevant
to get back in the league. Maybe maybe, But I
think if he wanted to do that, he would have
gone to ESPN. That's a more likely landing spot. Hold on.
This is Paul Pierce talking about Lebron.

Speaker 8 (13:52):
I'll truly feel responsible for taking Lebron. So that help
him taking him to that next level, because when when
he went to Miami, me game five, game six in
Boston where we had him on the ropes to go
back to the finals, you did, I think that was
the game that took Lebron to the next level to
where his career from that point on.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
Was he doing a lot of that against you? It
wasn't a lot against me.

Speaker 8 (14:18):
I was a little older, so we switched off a
little our guard in the mother's half, Brandon Bass was
guarding him. But you know, I think that right there,
game six, I believe it was first year in Miami,
we was up three to two at home, We go
to the finals, and that's when it took them to
the next level.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
And so you know, he was coming off the terrible
finals against Dallas, and that was a do or die
night for Lebron. No, No, that's that's that's that's not
that's the people forget. He was coming off his last
game in Cleveland. That was the one where there were
the allegations about his mom and a former teammate. Right

(14:56):
that was his last game there, and then the next
year they go to the NBA Finals, but then he
comes up short against Dallas and then they add Ray Allen.
But I do Paul Pierce taking credit for Lebron becoming
one of the all time greats is kind of comical
if you really think about it. I love Paul, and

(15:17):
Paul's super confident, really arrogant, but it works for him
because he backed it up in so many ways. But yeah,
that one, Come on, Paul, really, you know, really, that's
what the Fox said say.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Doug Gottlieb
Show weekdays at three pm Eastern noon Pacific on Fox
Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
Let's find out who or what is annoying Jason Stewart.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
And now it's your annoying.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Jason. Things have a tendency to annoy you. I understand
you are our show's curmudgeon as well as our show's
producer executive producer extraordinaire. What pray tell is annoying you
on this July twelfth?

Speaker 3 (16:16):
You know what annoys me in general is uh is bullshit?
Bea I heard this amazing summary of someone's life once
I saw it like a kind of like a package
of TV package eulogy to James Gandelfini. He played Tony
soprano on The Sopranos, and one of his friends and

(16:37):
fellow cast members said, you know post death, he said,
I just know that he's in heaven right now, continuing
his search for whatever the opposite of bullshit is.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
That's really good, really really good.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
So if I die and you eulogy that's what you want,
I ask you to please say that, okay, and you
know Profet will be there to make sure that you
do say.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
It, okay. So if I die, okay, I here's what
I want said, okay. I want to be known as
the guy who has called out bullshit. Right. You keep
searching for it, and I'm the one willing to call
it out fair enough.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
Just to be clear, I'm going to keep searching for
the opposite of bullshit.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Right, and I want to and I want to. I
want to be the guy he will continue to be
calling out bullshit when it is found.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
So you started out in the radio show today, I thought,
with a good rant about this Jalen Brown situation, and
you talked about the how the I guess in a way,
not just to paraphrase what you said, No one trusts
anything anyone says anymore correct. And I think you put
a lot of the blame on Trump, and that's probably

(18:00):
a good place to start. But I think politicians in
general have proven that they're full shit. And when I
look for the opposite of bullshit, do not tell me
that all of this concern and skepticism about our president
started on the night of the debate. That's bullshit. So
if you're a politician, if you're a pundit, if you're

(18:23):
anyone who discusses politics in a living room somewhere, this
did not start that night. And I think this coup
that we're witnessing is just that it's a coup, and
for whatever reason, it was very convenient to start on
the night of the debate. So beyond that, let's make

(18:44):
this a little less heavy and talk about racism. Serena
Williams hosted The SP's Last Night. I don't know who
watches that show. I'd love to see the ratings. I
don't think anyone watches it. Typically, they picked the one
day that doesn't have have a scheduled sporting event to
do this, But I guess they did it early this year.

(19:04):
I don't know what the explanation is. So here are
a couple of cringeworthy jokes that were written for Serena Williams.
This one, I think is about Harrison Butker.

Speaker 9 (19:17):
Go ahead and enjoy women's sports, sports because they are sports.

Speaker 1 (19:23):
Except you, Harrison Bucker.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
We don't need you at all.

Speaker 3 (19:32):
So this prompted a big response Sage Steele, I know
who leans right, and Michelle Tafoya, who leans right, both women,
both women of color, said that it was unclassy for
Serena to say that. Now we both know that Sharin
didn't say it. The writers wrote it for her. But

(19:53):
when you're not a comedian and you delivered these lines,
I just think it's even more cringey than ever. And
then she said this joke about Caitlin Clark.

Speaker 9 (20:03):
Kaitlin Clark had an amazing year and is nominated for
three in the worlds. Caitlyn, you are the Larry Bird
and that you are an amazing player, you have ties
Indiana and white people are really crazy about you.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
So I think the SPS has made it pretty clear
if you're not of color and you're not a woman,
don't tune in.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
Yeah, yeah, I mean, like, look, it's just it's as
if they took the handbook from whatever left leaning Honestly,
it plays to every negative stereotype about ESPN that is
being made, and and like, look, here's what's interesting. Okay,

(20:52):
here's what's interesting. When I was at ESPN, I enjoyed
it a great deal. I have zero I'm I'm just
being honest with you, Jason. It's not because I'm not
looking for a job. I don't need another job. I
have two jobs. My life is full. Okay. So this
has nothing to do with me kissing anybody's ass because
I want to. I really love my time at ESPN truly,

(21:17):
and I do understand that the perception is, hey, that
stuff has changed. Okay, So when your this is their show.
They invent the esp and the asps were invented for
ESPN to have some form of award show, uh, for
athletes that didn't previously exist. But everyone in perception of

(21:44):
ESPN is that ESPN is a super liberal network. Correct?
Is that? Is that? Am I saying anything that's unfair?

Speaker 3 (21:52):
Not at all?

Speaker 2 (21:52):
Okay, So my issue with it is this, Okay, I
don't think it what was would you say that it
was that that sage said.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
Sage. Am Michelle Tiofolio said that it just lacked class.
Those jokes.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
I don't think it lacked Like, look, the whole idea
of jokes are fine, okay, But when every joke has
the same theme and you're trying to fight the perception
that we're a left leaning you know, MSESPN sort of network,
it does you a disservice. It literally, it's almost as

(22:27):
if it's a caricature of the perception. And the caricature
obviously means that it's even worse than possibly perceived. Right,
Like how that can and you may say, like, well,
that's just a writer, but like, look, if you're ESPN,
you're fighting this perception of you're a left leaning network.

(22:48):
You're supposed to be a newsgathering organization, you're supposed to
be down the middle. You couldn't throw in one joke
or two jokes to the other side making fun of
the woke. I'm with you. I didn't watch. I've never
really understood it, but I do understand that this and
this is what we do is we have to make

(23:08):
athletes feel like they're even more special by having them
have their own award show. I actually think the sb's
when they were created were genius. Right. You got a
couple of days in the sports calendar which are dead,
there's no sports being had, and this was a way
to have a sports award show. And it always has
value because live programming has value. It gives them a
red carpet, people get dressed up, all these other things

(23:30):
that Hollywood has has that sports hasn't had. Okay, but
they didn't even do it on the dead sports day.
That's the crazy part about it, which, by the way,
just so we're aware, what does that do that eliminates
baseball from ever having any sort of chance to being
involved in it? And I would also point out that
baseball is probably the one of the three professional sports

(23:54):
which is I don't know if it's right leaning or
at least more down the middle. It's more kind of Americana.
So you said fuck you to baseball, and you said
fuck you to anybody who doesn't see it from the
left leaning perspective. And again, I just so we're aware, Okay, Jason,
I think it's fairly obvious where most people perceive you
to be voting. I'll just be honest, I've always leaned left.

(24:17):
I tell people I'm a radical centrist, and i am,
but usually I vote in the blue. And it pisses
me off because again, you're going out out of your
way to reinvigorate any sort of conversation of what side
you lean on about making any sense. So yeah, it
annoys this shit out of me that this is what

(24:41):
we do, right. It's also a like, can we get
out of the Like the joke about Caitlin Clark and
white people like her? It's funny, it's cute. That's actually,
i'd say, a non offensive joke. Again, the part to
the joke is is that we all know you could

(25:02):
not make that joke about what black people like. You
could not make that joke about what Mexican people like. You,
could not make that joke about what Asian people like.
You could not make that joke about any other race
other than white people. And again that just feeds into
the narrative of what we've been talking about, which is,
why is it only okay to make jokes about white people,

(25:25):
especially white dudes?

Speaker 7 (25:27):
What is it?

Speaker 2 (25:27):
I mean, like, look, we can take it. I'm not
offended by it. I don't care. I really don't care,
but it does feel like it's continuing on that same narrative.
If I'm am I making sense to you, Jason orm
I just kind of rambling incoherently.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
No, most of what you're you saying makes sense.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
Most of it. That's good. I'm good with most.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
Michelle Tavoya quote tweeted the Harrison Bucker joke just to
make sure I quote these two ladies she's quote tweeted
it and wrote, I admire the hell out of the
Williams sister, but this is pure snobbery. So Sage Steele,
former neighbor of yours, quote tweeted to Folia and said it, Yes,

(26:08):
it was gross, unnecessary and not surprising. So much for
diversity of thought. Okay, uh, just moving on.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
So what one more point? Okay, one more point is
for Michelle and for Sage, you got to be able
to take a joke, right, you have to take take
a joke. And then but now the irony to the
jokes about white guys is Serena is married to a
white guy. That's that's the part that's funny to me.

Speaker 3 (26:33):
Right as.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
Sage is divorced, but yes, her her ex husband, her
ex husband is is white. So again, like I think
some of it is. Hey, the right side needs to
be able to take take a fucking joke right. On
the other hand, the jokes are never made about the left.

Speaker 3 (26:54):
It was amazing that Tyreek Hill was able to take
time away from inmpregnating women. Not to put this on
social media. Top five quarterbacks in the league?

Speaker 1 (27:09):
Patrick to Lamar dat Maker Mayfield.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
Come on, man, what are we doing? What are we doing?
He said Baker Mayfield, Yes, that really happened. By the way,
that may be the greatest line you've ever had. Take
time away from impregnating women, not his wife. How many
does he have? Twelve kids?

Speaker 9 (27:32):
Now?

Speaker 2 (27:32):
Is that right? Did I read that correctly? Did I
misread that?

Speaker 3 (27:36):
Maybe you could save this for my eulogy too, but
I'm going to disagree with you. I think the greatest
line I ever delivered was when OJ Simpson weighed in
on the transsexuals being able to swim against women, and
then I said, here's there should be a rule. If
you murdered a woman, you should never have a you

(27:59):
should never be would to have an opinion about what's
unfair to women.

Speaker 2 (28:04):
Also good for my uog. What was the first one
I've already forgotten the first one.

Speaker 3 (28:11):
It was amazing that he took he was able to
take time from impregnaty and women, not his wife.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
I think that one's better. I'm just being being honest
with Yeah, they're both really good. I think that one's.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
Better, all right. So I think ESPN takes the crown today.

Speaker 2 (28:25):
Yep, yep, ESPN.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
Why are we doing this?

Speaker 3 (28:34):
I do.

Speaker 1 (28:37):
Because we can.

Speaker 3 (28:40):
So. I know Cam Newton was at the SP's last night,
and I know you have thoughts on that. But before that,
I don't know if you've seen this. This week, Cam
Newton posted this about Christian McCaffrey's wedding and it prompted
a response from Christian McCaffrey. But this this was the
the blue language comment from Cam Newton.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
Shout out to the McCaffrey's man, Christian and oh no
hold on tied and not.

Speaker 8 (29:08):
Damn see Matt, I couldn't get an anvite.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
Well, I know, what is it because of the brock
prairie of people was brock there. But you want to
break you meto.

Speaker 9 (29:22):
Man?

Speaker 3 (29:23):
You know.

Speaker 9 (29:26):
Yeah I wasn't because I would have crashed that motherfucker.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
I would have crashed it. Man, Oh my god, that's
like to have so much fun.

Speaker 9 (29:33):
Man.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
No. Now, McCaffrey, after seeing this, had a great one.
He said, Cam Newton has not replied to a text
of mine in nine years. Something like that. Cam is
the guy, and I you know, I think most people
on the staff could say this, Cam is the Doug
Gottlieb of NFL players. Doug doesn't respond to text messages,

(29:56):
but if you don't invite him to something he gets
he gives you ship for that. That's what this is.

Speaker 2 (30:02):
So wait, so he didn't respond to a text message,
That's that's why he didn't get invited.

Speaker 3 (30:06):
Well, McCaffrey claims he's never responded to a text message
of his in like many years, and it's like, so
that's why you didn't get the invite.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
Yeah, that's uh uh yeah, we're not we're not really friends.
We played together, we're not actually friends. I think what's
happened with Cam when we talked about this a little
bit on the radio show, is he complained so much
about other guys getting opportunity again kind of play into
that stereotype of ESPN, Right, why do not get opportunities?
It's because I'm a black quarterback. Whatever that he got

(30:39):
to do. Red Carver reports for the SPS yesterday yesterday, Like, dude, no,
it's because it was terrible. That's why you're not good
at it. So well, that's that's that's an amazing piece
of sound. By the way, that's amazing. I love that.

(31:02):
Why can we play it for you? Because we can.
All Right, that's it for the in the Mootus podcast.
