Speaker 1 (01:52):
The Sugar Show Sean O'Malley back in the Octagon this
weekend takes some morob DUALLASPVILLI live from the sphere.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Champ, your life has just kind of really changed.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
I've watched you at the Cardinals University of Montana, but
still taking it all in, like just loving and loving life.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
You said something in a fighter meeting. I get to
do this. This is not a job. How do you
maintain that mentality?

Speaker 4 (02:18):
But it's perspective. I understand that.

Speaker 5 (02:20):
You know, I'm only gonna I'm twenty nine and I
still have a few good years left. But from when
I got in the UFC at twenty two to twenty.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
Nine, I gu it's been in seven years.

Speaker 5 (02:31):
So I mean that went like this, So I'm like,
the next seven years gotta go like that. And each
year is going by a little bit faster. So I
just have to, you know, keep reminding myself. I get
to do this, and you know, it feels good to
be healthy going into a fight, very excited, and to perform.
I'm a performer, and I once I'm out of the UFC,
it's like I'm not. I can't wrap, can't dance, I

(02:52):
can't perform anymore. This is I gotta I gotta take
it all in.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Hey, man, why you did hear Shuhuo like that? On
that podcast? You go on the Man podcast and you
get why you do him like that? Man, he sat there,
he tried to he told Morrow, he said no, he
did it to both of us, not just you.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
I said he did that to you. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (03:09):
I message tomorrow after and said, hey, bro, I just
can't fucking stand Hendry.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
I'm nothing about respect.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
I gave it.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
I gave Kamorrow exact as he deserves. Henry.

Speaker 5 (03:17):
He's gonna be at home streaming this fight illegally because
he can't afford it, on his couch, kicking his feet
up like this. Henry is just a little fucking weasel,
and I don't like that guy.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
What makes you not like him so much is his
face or just his you know what it is?

Speaker 5 (03:31):
It's his attitude and he rubs a lot of people wrong.
He's got this big ego and he was like, I'm
the man of fighting and I'm pound for pound and
teaching John Jones. It's like, bro, you're not that fucking good.
You guys, you want a couple of fights. You're not
that fucking good. He's talking about going down to twenty
five because I'm running the division. He's like, oh, I
want to fight Sean. You don't want to fight me.
He doesn't want to fight me. I'm a nightmare for him.

(03:52):
He's like, oh, I'll take it out and hold you down. Cool,
I'll get up and kill you like you suck.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
You guys, Henry sucks.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
He does that, and you guys are he does it
by annoying you guys. So it's almost like you guys
keep him a little relevant because at the end of
the day, he's lost two fights in the row, right,
he shouldn't be on at least mentioned by the champion.

Speaker 5 (04:10):
Well, I could mention it just because it's stabs.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
People are roasting.

Speaker 5 (04:14):
Him in the comments. I go and look at the
comments just to get some laughs, and it's it's good.
They is deserved it. Maybe maybe bring him down a
little bit and humble him a little bit.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
But you like on your stuff right now, Like I
just watched your your pre fight pressor and you immediately
said Morob sucks. Cliff just this because you're you feel
like it would just rub him the wrong way.

Speaker 5 (04:37):
Rob's very emotional and he's getting fired up. And I
seen him walk off an interview when someone asked him
if Umar would be next. And Morob has this thing
against Umar. I think it's because Morob fought so many
fights to get to the title where umar Is only
won a few, and yeah, getting talked about it for
fighting the title and rubbing Rob the wrong way. So
you know, I know Morob will see that, you know
me saying Umar is more deserving than Morob, and it's

(04:58):
gonna fucking drive him crazy.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
And Rob, we're just pecking out him, pecking out of
pecking at him. He's all over the place, he's grabbing fans.

Speaker 5 (05:04):
Hair, He's just he's a head case right now.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
And it's that's exactly where I want him go into
this fight.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
You know, when you when you have done the things
that you've done now in your career, from the fight
with Cheeto, getting the correct what happened in fight one,
winning the belt from al Jermaine Sterling, that fight with
Pio Jan which was extremely competitive.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Many didn't believe you're ready for that at the time.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
You went out there, and you've done all these things,
you start to get used to living in these moments.
You watch Morob right now and they grabbing the fans hair,
the being at the bar, dancing, saying, and he's drinking.
Do you think that this moment might be a little
too big for him?

Speaker 4 (05:44):
I think that.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Well.

Speaker 5 (05:45):
The fact that he went down to Mexico makes me.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
I mean, he didn't go to.

Speaker 5 (05:49):
Mexico to go to Mexico. He went to Mexico for
a specific reason. If I had a guess, you know,
you have the stem cells down there.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Yeah, you know, I'm wondering.

Speaker 5 (05:57):
Why do you go to Tijuana, Mexico. I heard he
was out at Hong Kong whatever that place, so I
think he's I don't know, I don't know, but grabbing
the fans hair because that kid said sugars your daddy
or something like that. I mean, it's just very unprofessional.
It's like, I can't imagine someone yelling at me rob's
better than you and me getting actually getting mad at

(06:19):
that person, Like it just shows maybe some insecurities he
has or or something.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
You know, when you and I remember being in a
situation with John Jones, right when you're in there with
a big star and you're the B side, because that's
really what it is. You tend to kind of act up.
But then at times when you do that, you become emotional.
It looks like, or from what you're saying, is he
seems emotional. You think that'll lead to mistakes and is

(06:47):
kind of getting to him a little bit part of
the plan, because we've seen prior when people are emotional,
they do mistakes, and it gets a guy like you,
it really does take one opportunity to shed the lights off.

Speaker 5 (07:00):
I mean, he could come in there and call him
as a cucumber and he's gonna get knocked out.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
It's just, you know, if I can.

Speaker 5 (07:05):
Get him a little bit more emotional, you know, it
might benefit me a little bit. But he's getting knocked
out regardless whether he's emotional or not.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
Emotional.

Speaker 5 (07:12):
Stabs is just for us to giggle at.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Yeah, you know, this guy is a tremendous wrestler. He
fights with an insane pace can do. He took fifty
shots in twenty five minutes against Porean. When you watch
him in your studying, Morob duallace VELI, what do you
make of him as an opponent and how do you
build your plan to fight a guy like that?

Speaker 2 (07:35):
A lot of full work footwork.

Speaker 5 (07:36):
That's what wins me all these fights like it comes
on the footwork from Worthodox. I'm south Paul that you know,
I'm hitting him from different angles.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Peter.

Speaker 5 (07:45):
He took fifty shots on Peter Young because Petereon stood
there flat footed two feet front of him. Peter John
is not a tall guy. He's got to be close
to hit him. I can hit Rob at a lot
further distance, So I'm not gonna be standing in front
of him. I'm gonna be moving a lot this fight.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
You know, they were talking about your fighting, so I
don't know who we were talking about.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
And I was like, it's little details.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Because you're constantly fainting that dudees you switch feet, you're faint,
They get you orthodox you're faint, sould point you faint,
and it seems to freeze him and then eventually they
get so frustrated that they go, and then that leaves
you opportunities.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
How do you keep him at that range? Though? How
do you how do you keep him at that range?

Speaker 5 (08:23):
Hurt him, hurt him and make him question stuff. I
think he's gonna I don't think he's got ready for
he's never been in there with someone like me. The
range is gonna be way different. I feel like it's
gonna be a root awakening. He's gonna get in there
the first couple of minutes. We're gonna see a lot.
We're gonna see a lot, and uh, I don't think
he is. I mean whatever Aljro can tell him from

(08:46):
our fight, Like, there's not a lot of aljro did
right to say, hey, this worked. So I'm curious if
he's gonna come out calm and get knocked out or
come out, you know, rushing and get knocked out.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
Either way, he's getting the front kick.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
The front kick that you throw, you use it almost
like a range find it asure jab a little bit.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Can you do that.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Against a guy that's trying to grab your leg all
the time, or do you kind of have to stay
a little bit back from poking at him with the
front leg.

Speaker 5 (09:14):
I think you know, it's hard to catch a teap
it's hard to mop shoots a lot of single legs.
I'm very comfortable in single leg defense, so I'm not
too worried about that.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
We've heard for years that you've got great grappling, right,
We've heard for years.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Do we see it this weekend?

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Do we see you have to defend yourself on your
back because for years, remember you.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
Were doing the jiu jitsu competition.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
It's kind of crazy when we think about this, right,
because Rogan comes back with all these stories.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Well, Sean was doing this, and Sean's trained with this guy,
and then you almost become like.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
It's like you start your reputation starts to precede you
in most instances. And he was telling us about this
grappling and these tournaments and all that, but we've never
had to see it. Do we get to see or
do we have to see you defitting off of you.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Back this week?

Speaker 5 (10:01):
Ideally we don't like for me, if I'm on my back,
I'm not necessarily losing. I could hurt Morob bad and
uh you know, end up on my back and still
win the round.

Speaker 4 (10:13):
I just have to be very smart with my energy.
This fight.

Speaker 5 (10:16):
It's twenty five minutes, it's very it's gonna be a
very high paced fight. I'm gonna have to be smart
with my energy. But ideally I don't. I don't he
doesn't take me down. If he does take me down,
I'm not. It's not over like people are like, Oh,
either keeps it standing and he wins, or Morob takes
down and Rob wins. That's not how this That's not
the two variations of how this plays out. He could
take me down multiple times. I could still win this fight. Yeah,

(10:38):
either decision or I truly believe I could knock him
out in the fourth and fifth round.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
Henry Juttle said, that you're struggling in training.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
Did you see that? He said you're struggling in training.
Multiple training partners have told him that you're getting taken
down and you can't work your way back to your feet.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Where does he get this information? You have a small team.
It's like you're one of the guys that built your
own team. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (10:59):
No, use guys from over there, and I sparred with
them and they were, you know, really really good guys.
And uh I really appreciate everybody I spar with. And
uh so the guys that I sparred with that went
over there and either told them that stuff or Henry's
making stuff up because I absolutely just roasted him.

Speaker 4 (11:18):
He's just feeling it.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
He's feeling it.

Speaker 5 (11:20):
He doesn't like it, so he's gonna start chirping at me.
But I know he also said I had an injury.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Yeah, so you say I'm healthy.

Speaker 5 (11:27):
I feel really really good going into this fight, and
uh yeah, I think he's just throwing stuff out there,
trying to just burn me down because he's feeling real,
really insecure right now.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
You know, you're fighting this guy, Mara, You're fighting Morob
this weekend. Everybody else is you say You're gonna knock
him out. This is a once in a lifetime card.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
What does it mean to you?

Speaker 1 (11:46):
Sean O'Malley right kid from Montana to be one of
the biggest stars in the UFC headlining it once in
a lifetime card with an opportunity to defend the championship
for the second time.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
I gets a guy that's a dangersh as moron.

Speaker 5 (11:58):
Just it's almost like a person fixed storyline, like they
have the bandawet champ versus the number one contender, ten
fight win streak versus nineteen fight win streak. It's as
good as it gets at the sphere. One on one
event Mexican Independence Day, which is people, you.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
Know a little bit hating. They're like me and Robert
I have a Mexican family.

Speaker 5 (12:17):
I'm not as Mexican as it gets, but I'm Mexican. Yeah,
so it's but I'm truly honored because I know Ilian
Max one of that fight. I know Connor supposedly wanted
that fight. So for them to pick me, I think
they know what I'm capable of, and I'm gonna go
out there and deliver, not only for the fans, but
for the UFC.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
I think that your division is the best in the
UFC right now. Yeah, before I let you go, I
have to ask you what do you make of the division?

Speaker 2 (12:43):
Right? Says Umar's next.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
At least that's what you hear. But Umar City's ashamed
that you're the champion right now? Like, what do you
make of your division as a whole in terms of
the people that are waiting for you? Who has done
things that doesn't really happen at bandam weight People don't
become stars in the small weight classes.

Speaker 5 (13:02):
Yeah, I mean, if Umar's ashamed, maybe he can sit
down and wait. And if he's not gonna respect the champ,
I might pick Figgy next, Mark and Way you'll probably
pull out of waiting. You know, Peter Yan versus Figure
could be possible next one, Iliah. I've been talking about
the Ilia fight for a while. Um Nar and his
you Andi Brow could get it too, But we'll see.
It just depends on, you know, how how this fight

(13:23):
plays out, how some other fights play out. Morob's next. Obviously,
I gotta go out there and do what I do
against him.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
We'll see, man, guys, Sugar Sean O'Malley takes some of
Rob du Wallace vili UFC three zero six from the
Spear this weekend.
