Speaker 2 (00:49):
You do it, Okay, du I'm sweating, Dude, I'm sweating
at ninth inning that Edwin Diaz just gave up two
runs hits a guy to bring in the game tying run.
I'm like, come on, but the bigger thing was the
ball four where the guy clearly carries his bat to
the zone across home plate. Manager doesn't even bother to
get himself ejected. I know what kind of half assed

(01:09):
effort was that.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
I know, man, if you're not.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Out there spitting at the guy and kicking dirt on him,
are you even trying?

Speaker 4 (01:15):
I mean, are you trying?

Speaker 1 (01:17):
I mean it would have been it could have been
a full count. Instead it's a walk and the bases
are loaded and Diaz with two strikes, HiT's the next
pattern to tie the game.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
I'm sweating, dude.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
The only thing, the only thing, honestly is because look,
with this playoffs now, I'm I'm navigating a triangle of
difficulty almost every night with the Mets and the Hurricanes
and the next It's the three body problem, right, it's
I'm trying.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
To figure out they're all colliding.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Just wait for the Jets.

Speaker 5 (01:42):
The Jet.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
These guys are long being vanquished and pasture before.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
But yeah, but that's just one team. I can focus
focusing on one team one time is fine.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
But then every other night and if they're gonna live
up to the lofty heights that you've tried to put
them in, I e but I mean psychologically, you're gonna
be living and dying like weekends. Every weekend, every weekend
is going to be a mess.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Saturday and Sunday. Like here, I'm getting okay, well, yeah,
I got. I get the Knicks and the Hurricanes and
the Mets on the same night. Now it's like the
Knicks and the Hurricane. This is the Hurricanes and the Mets.
The Mets, so it's difficult. So it's like I'm trying
to like I.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Said, it's only two you know, it's it's the worst.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
It's only for three more nights. Mat that's the other
part of it. Yes, it is a short lived ye,
kind of like when you get on a treadmill. So
it's a short filled, short, short lived pain.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Tonight, I'm dealing with the Mets and blowing this lead
in the ninth Ed is his entrance.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
My goodness, it was terrible, But.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
I guess okay, because the in and yang of this
is Hurricanes stay alive against the Rangers.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Were down three zip. Now it's three two. Going back to.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Caroline, I've never seen a guy stand at a television going.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
Yeah, you'll go home, ye.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
Mess Jersey like you get.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
I never said that, as far as you know, I
never walked.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
Pause and you started waving he.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
Home, we gotta go home, we gotta go home.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
This game's over with the Carolina I don't get it.
He use cause chaos.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
And then you sat down and we were watching the Mets.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
And your mood shift that ninth inning with DS Mike good.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
Okay, so that game's going to the tenth.

Speaker 5 (03:31):
Ah.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
But obviously another big night in the NBA playoffs, the
Boston Celtics by into the Eastern Conference Final continues, though
the road for the Celtics is a little bit more
difficult than expected. As tonight they beat the Cavaliers in
Game four. They go up three games to one, so
this series won't be very long before the Celtics move on.
But it was a lot tougher, especially with the fact

(03:54):
that the Cavaliers played without Donovan Mitchell maybe playing he
may have played in his final game game as a Cleveland.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
Lebron James was there ready to take his spot.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Yeah. Yeah, I'm ready to go out there like he did.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Like as soon as Donovan Mitchell doesn't look like he's
coming off with the sweats, Lebron is taking off his
denim jacket.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
I have my old calves jersey.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
I can just walk right out there and let me
finish this bottle of wine that I brought in his seat,
and then I could go it.

Speaker 6 (04:16):
Now.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Look now there, let's the Celtics first and then Lebron.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Yeah, okay, okay, uh this we talked about how easy
a path this is going to wind up for the
Celtics into the NBA Finals, and this is how it
is in major in in in the NBA. Now, if
you're not healthy, you don't win, right, I'm seeing it
with the Knicks right now, right if you're not healthy,
you're only going to go for so long you're healthy,
you're going to win. And then just like we saw

(04:39):
with the Nuggets last year and their run, you're seeing
it now with the Celtics. No Jimmy Butler in the
first round. Oh okay, great, this is going to be
now a Cavaliers team without Donovan Mitchell and in the
in the biggest game they're playing. And then next round,
either they get the Knicks, who are going to be
playing with four at some point, or they get a
Pacers team that is not great, that is that is
healthy and a little bit younger, but they're not ready

(05:02):
for the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
But not yet. They're not great. This is this is
this is like a bus.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
This is why I say, if the Celtics don't win
the title this year, they're never gonna win it, right,
because then you're gonna get a Western Conference team that's
full of all ky. We're playing deep series and it's
very difficult. But let's just take the Nuggets for example, right,
a very tough, competitive five game series against the Lakers,
now fighting for their lives against the timber Bowls one
more round. Maybe it's the the Mavericks, maybe it's maybe

(05:29):
it's Minnesota's gotta fight back here.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
But you're gonna get Western Conference teams.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
They're gonna come out of this like I am just
sweaty and exhausted, and they're gonna full of dust and
everything else. And the Celtics walk out like they're walking
out of Starbucks with a cup of coffee, going, hey,
ready for the day, got polo shirts on, ready to go,
and we're.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Gonna have we gonna go get my car and drive.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
And you're just like I just walked out of a
dust bowl, been working all day. That's the Western Conference, man.
If they know the Celtics don't win this year, they're
never gonna win. No, it's DeAndre and the Giant Memorial
Battle Royal. The first person tag in and then you
can get beaten up for an hour and then that
last guy and the last one announced walk is like,
all right, it's me versus you. Let's finish it off right,

(06:09):
nice and fresh as a daisy as you as you
walk into the ring. But you know I'm watching it
in this one. I mean, Darius Garland gave them everything.
Caris LeVert. If you if you bet the Cavaliers before
the Mitchell news, you were getting either eight or eight
and a half, and LeVert with two point eight seconds
left says, I'm not running the clock out.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
Nope, here's my tear drop jumper. I got you.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Cavaliers backers, good on you, Caris LeVert, you feel good?

Speaker 3 (06:37):
Yeah, but they made him work right.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
There was still stress down down in those final minutes.
And now I never got below five, but it was
still Hey, you were expecting a blow up. By the way,
Mitchell was only worth three or three and a half.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Yeah, weird, little weird forgot that's Thirty's the.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Guy that's only that scores thirty again, that is only
worth it. I'll talk to firm about that later on
this week. But you know, for the Celtics. Right, it
is if you can, it's the path of least resistance.
And we've seen that the last couple of years in
the NBA. This is now becoming an annual tradition on
which team is going to have the yellow brick road
open up for him?

Speaker 4 (07:15):
Right Denver had last year.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Yeah, oh yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:17):
The competitive sweep follow and then they just started skipping.
Or you can do E's on down the road if
you want to go the wiz.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
We got two different alternative baths for you here, depending
on your musical stylings that you want.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
But the point is, yeah, it's it's a war of attrition.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
It's a long three months second season, and whoever's left standing, Yeah,
it is the prize fighter at the end of it all. Look,
and now here's Lebron, who knows what he's doing when
he comes to games, sitting courtside.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
Hey, just here. It gets a big ovation from the.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
Fans over the cloud speakers.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
Hey, I'm home and I'm hearing.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Hey, if the Lakers don't want to give me what
I want, you know, just a surprise. And on the
day that Bronni decid I'm staying in the draft, I'm
staying in the draft, not going back to school. I got,
I got a great check up for him, and he's able.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
He's shot really well.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Yeah, everything was great for him, except that he measured
in at six to one and a half. Yeah, but
he's growing. It's fine, it's fine, he's growing. They already
projected him at six four in the in the in
the USC program.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
That'll be fine. Like Drew Brees, I'll just you know,
play with his head up a little bit more and
throw the football.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
Hold.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
So this is that sum me.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
Look, he knows what he's doing, right, Look, Lebron is
trying to use the leverage that he has into getting
what he wants from the Lakers, right. I mean, it's
it's no, it's no surprise everywhere he goes, when he
appears someplace, when he doesn't, he knows what it's about.
And there's and there's no way you can look at
today and say, Okay, this wasn't something that was planned.

(08:49):
Here's a story about about Broun. I have other options. Meanwhile,
I was a Lakers, I would dare say you want
to go go, you know, like we're doing go.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
I would dare.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
But now the Lakers have decided to say, hey, anything,
you need to sign Lebron. So we've given him power back,
and this is the way he uses his leverage. If
you don't want me, I can always go back home.
I can always go It's my hometown team. I left twice,
but I can go back home. But the other thing
it does is it kills the narrative of him as
a coach killer, which has been the last seventy two hours,

(09:16):
right him and Durant aarb In terms of your program,
which guy you want to thrust out as the more
likely to end your coaching reign if you get hired
there this becomes all about Lebron the player. Well still
you know in year twenty one whatever. So it's not
about Bronni's height, it's not about any of that. It's

(09:38):
not about the coaching story and how the season ends. No, no,
it's hey Lebron, let's talk about him. Great calvs run,
no question about it. But you know, still one of
the top players going into year twenty two. Dot dot
dot it's the Toby Keith. I want to talk about
me now, And I'll tell you this.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
On a day where we saw this kind of drama
Bronni staying in the and Lebron going to the game
and clar waving very reluctantly standing.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
Up, Oh yeah, and I'll stand up and wave to
all of the yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Look, I'm I'm doubling down on exactly what's gonna happen. Okay,
in the NBA draft, Bronni is not gonna get drafted. Okay,
he's not good enough. Yes he can, he can shout
a little bit at some of these skill weekends, but
he's not gonna get drafted a because one, he's not
good enough. He's not even gonna have to be draft
in the second round right now, even though you do

(10:27):
draft on potential. But there's a lot of players out there,
and as a team, really gonna say we're gonna draft
Bronny knowing that there could be a really weird situation
hanging over our head with Bronni playing and Lebron in
the league. Whether it's Lebron questioning us from two thousand
miles away, and you know what, we're gonna stay away
from it, right whether or it could be kind of

(10:48):
a gentleman's agreement where you know, Rich Paul sends it
sends an email out to all the teams do not
draft Bronnie, right, do not draft.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
Or you don't get to get any of my players.
So so what's gonna happen is this, He's.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
Not saying blank him and I draft him and in
the second round, where there's nothing guaranteed anything, they.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
Called you bluff.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
But no one's gonna draft and the Lakers aren't gonna
draft him because then it's gonna be seen as over
the top favoritism to Lebron, which is not something they're
gonna go for. Right, they want favoritism for Lebron, but
they don't want in your face embarrassed favoritism, which it
would be if we draft your kid. So they're not
gonna draft him. But as soon as the draft ends,
he will sign with with the Lakers. The Lakers even

(11:27):
talked about and there's even whispers you heard about Bronnie.
He knows he has to go to the G League.
He knows he has to get better, he's got to
get bigger, he's got to do all these things he's got.
He's a developmental player. Everybody understands all of this. And
that's and that's how that's gonna go. What I said
a few weeks ago is how it's It's how it's
gonna shake down. Bronni will will go through the draft,
he won't get drafted, but the headline a minute after
the draft is gonna be Bronnie signed to the Lakers,

(11:48):
and there's already gonna be a picture ready to go.
It's like when when when when someone really famous, who's
who's whose old? Dies all of a sudden, the oh
bit is is aired right away because they haven't right,
they had that obit ready right away. It's gonna be
like that for this boy. They had that picture of
Browny with lebron and Rob Polinka, Genie Buss all ready

(12:09):
to go.

Speaker 3 (12:09):
How did they have that? He's already shaking heads? How
do they have that so quickly?

Speaker 2 (12:12):
Now we've seen obituaries get lit out. He's not dead,
he's not dead. I still think the Lakers end up
drafting him because there's too much pageantry and pomp and
circumstance that they would not get to go the other route.
And in terms of embarrassment, I don't care, but that's all.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
No, I think that they don't want it to make
it look the one thing they don't want to make
it look like is that Lebron is running the team.
They'll give Lebron hey the big say he has, but
you're not publicly, they're not gonna make You're not gonna
get away with it, even if you end up signing
him after the draft.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
But it's the same thing.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
He's you dfa no.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
But but that's a little bit different. No, it's the same,
and it's a little bit different. Nobody if nobody thought
he was good enough to draft, and look, he'd be
good enough to get signed. And this is where we
get into the unfortunate discussion of having talk about a
guy who played a truncated season, had a hard issue
all this other stuff because it's projected based on his
old man who has brought a lot of it on
himself by talking about his kid as if he were

(13:11):
the second company he could get minutes over all these
guys in our rotation right now.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
Dude, the Knicks could have used them yesterday.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
Well, they can use any able bodied young man. It's
like the United States Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
Listen tomorrow and I signed him up.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
Caitlyn Clark's playing Connecticut to right, she could just head
right up to MSG for game five.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
I mean, we need somebody to make some shit say.
That's a fair point on the charter jet. You saw
that the.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
Little charter her up to New York. Did ready to
know right up? There'd be great? You think he has
any idea who the hell Cayton and Clark is? He
doesn't know the Knicks are in the playoffs exactly? All right?
So you know what, Frostburg, you're right about that, You're right?

Speaker 2 (13:46):

Speaker 1 (15:50):
He's on Twitter at Jason Lockin for you can check

The Fan Jay.

Speaker 4 (15:57):
What's happening, Bud?

Speaker 5 (15:58):
What's going on? Gentlemen?

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Yeah, buddy, I mean, I'm not having as great a
day as Jared Goff, but I'm all right so far.

Speaker 5 (16:04):
Hey how about that trade? Huh, that's one of the
all timers there. I mean, the way it worked out
for both teams, it's pretty crazy, especially when I mean
quarterback trades and what looked like a salary dump and
even the first year there, right, you're kind of just
watching him. It's like, dude, he's making a lot of money,
but he's just a pinata, right, He's like literally there

(16:27):
to take this abuse to get them through, you know,
a year or two of a tank, and who knows,
like those two teams could play each other in the
NFC Championship Game this year for all we know. So
it's pretty wild, you know.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
I'm looking at this deal, the two hundred and twelve
million dollar extension for golf, and it's just you know, look,
it's a great story because nobody knew the Lions would
be good. I think that's the whole thing. Oh, the
Lions are good. This is just kind of business as usual. Yes,
second highest paid quarterback in the game is the second best. No,
but this is just kind of how it goes. You know,
when he was coming up, I expected to be a

(17:01):
fifty million dollars a year contract because he's played well
in the Lions have one. It's pretty simple.

Speaker 5 (17:06):
Yeah, I mean, look, it's it's kind of like, I mean,
you can go back through the games of Leapfrog that
have been played and who at any given moment, you know,
was the highest paid quarterback on the planet or in
the history of the game. And I mean there was
a time it was Joe Flacco, right, and Flacco won
a Super Bowl and Jared Golf didn't. But let's be real,

(17:28):
Jared Goff's not the reason that you know, the Lions
weren't playing for a Super Bowl, right, I mean they
had a few drops. I mean we can relitigate, you know,
the party touchdown or you know whatever sixty yard bomb
he didn't know anything about off of face mask. And
there's a lot of things that happened to end the
Lion season, but you know, Jared Golf continued to prove

(17:51):
his worth and his metal through the playoffs, and he's
been to a super Bowl right at the other place,
and almost took the Lions to a super Bowl. And
the timing is perfect, and that's how it works. It's
it's the right guy at the right place at the
right time, and so good for him, and it's the
cost of doing business. It's going to make things really
interesting though, Like he's basically almost a fifty five, right,

(18:16):
I mean, he's almost right there with Burrow, Like if
you're Tua you know, if if you're Purty, if you're
Jordan Love, like you know, if you're Trevor Lawrence. And
some of those guys are already in the thick of it,
like like to On Lawrence, and some of them still
have to wait another year. But it's going to be fascinating.

(18:37):
And not all these are going to work out really well,
like they're you know, they're just not Like some of
these are going to end up being unmitigated disasters. And
I don't know that all these teams are going to
pay the price, like I think Miami's going to, Like
I think they're going to give to him more than
they probably should. And that'll be that, and we'll see

(18:59):
if they win in the play else or not. I
don't think they're going to This is this is the
cost of doing business when you've got a winning quarterback,
and the ramifications will will be something like I think
Golf with Ben Johnson there right with the pieces they have,
playing on a fast track and a dome like there's

(19:21):
you know a lot of things that will probably continue
to work pretty well for that offense, but that he's
been dealing with having to play under big money for
a while, I mean, right, I mean that's what kind
of suck them in LA was what happened after that,
that first contract extension. So I think they'll be fine,
but some of these other ones, at least one or
two will probably blow up in somebody's face.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
That's the fun part going through all the data, as
you suggested, you know, going between Stafford and Golf and
how early similar their numbers have been during this period.
But all of those next when you talk about winning
versus performance, et cetera. I just let forget about hard knocks.
Let's let's do the the negotiations, further conversations with Dak
Prescott and then the Trevor Lawrence side of things.

Speaker 4 (20:05):
I think that'd be far more entertaining.

Speaker 5 (20:07):
Oh yeah, to have a hidden camera in there.

Speaker 4 (20:10):
Absolutely, all right, let's talk about Yes, that.

Speaker 5 (20:13):
Would be I would watch that, like, I would watch
that rather than you know, some dude do magic tricks
or whatever they started jets camp or whatever the hell
that was.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
Hey, come on, the guy the mentalist, I was a mentalist.
He was really good.

Speaker 5 (20:26):
Any of that stuff proved like, I mean, was any
like did any of that prove to be anything? You know?

Speaker 3 (20:31):
Okay, okay, be on the other side.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
Who was the guy he called up in the beginning
of camp to do the whole thing? Super Bowl? Mikole Hardman?
What did he say? Who are you playing in the
Super Bowl? Forty nine ers? What's his final score? Twenty
seven to twenty four? Did Mikole Harmon play in the
Super Bowl? Did they beat the forty nine ers?

Speaker 4 (20:48):
And I mean.

Speaker 5 (20:51):
He was he was he was playing magician chess.

Speaker 3 (20:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (20:54):
We were all thinking, we.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
Were we were all Jets.

Speaker 5 (20:58):
Yeah, he Reid didn't even know he was five moves
ahead of Andy Reid.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
Andy Reid was still doing commercials asking for Nuggies when
this was going on, Like, come on, man.

Speaker 5 (21:06):
Listen, maybe I will go back and rewatch it. Then
who knows what else I'm missing?

Speaker 3 (21:10):
We own the off season.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
Hey, speaking of the season, we now find out the
opening night game. I'm sure there's a big deal for
you down in Baltimore today. Ye Ravens and the Chiefs.
And I don't know, how do you feel? Because if
I'm the Ravens, I'm excited to be playing open to night.
But I'm like, great, the Chiefs again, yeah, the chip
really they beat the Chiefs again. They beat us all
to the Chiefs again.

Speaker 5 (21:29):
Okay, great, Yeah, you know a lot of people here
figured that this was going to be how this thing unfolded.
Now look that you've also got you know, you've got
the chief forty nine ers, Like, so that's gonna have
juice whenever that one will, I guess, well, boy, we
got to hold their breath for forty eight more hours.
Hope I get there until I find out when that

(21:49):
game is going to be played. You know, the first
you know, hardball in that division and the first Chief
Chargers game, we'll have some more possess to it. So
other things they could have done. But a lot of
people kind of figured, hey, that's a big game, like
styles make fights Lamar versus Mahomes in a rematch after

(22:12):
that championship game, Like why wouldn't they lean into that,
And they obviously did. If I'm a Ravens fan, I'd
rather this game maybe the week seventeen, right, And who knows,
maybe by then there's nothing really for the Chiefs to
play for, right, maybe they would have already secured a
division title in the one seed, and you're catching them

(22:34):
with some backups. It's going to be quite a test
for their rookie defensive coordinator, Zach Orr, and for all
those new pieces on the defense. They lost two of
their top assistant coaches, They lost their defensive coordinator, They
lost a second team off pro linebacker. They lost their
best edge player by a country mound, Davion Clowney. You know,

(22:56):
they lost their second best corner and Ronald Darby. They
lost the kid, you know, a great in depth safety
in Gino Stone, who was leading the league interceptions most
of the year like they there's there's a lot that's
not back on that side of the ball. So that's
going to be quite a test, you know, Andy Reid
having three months to prepare for you and you having

(23:17):
to go there and narrowhead opening night. Now, the lines
beat them, right, The Lines beat them there last year,
so it certainly can be done. But it's hard for
me not to like the chief chances in a game
like that.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
We'll get to the rest of the two seventy two
just in forty eight hours. We'll throw you out dance cards,
all of those.

Speaker 5 (23:38):
Somebody should do power rankings and rank every game. What
kind of a thicker somebody I'll do it? Does it?
Wouldn't that be like if one of my kids doesn't
do well on his exams, I'm going to be like,
all right, you know what you're gonna do now to
make it up to me. You're going to rank all
these games we've been joking about games for you.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
You got Giants Bears. You have Giants Bears A one
fifty six. How do you not have the that should
be at least in the one seventies?

Speaker 4 (24:04):
Do it again?

Speaker 5 (24:05):
Eight one one, make me one. A few.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
Running joke on the show if You're life, Jason has
been that. You know, I celebrate all to seventy two, right,
they're all still NFL games, And then Jason will be like,
that's a terrible game. How do you celebrate that. I'm like,
somebody's got to be last. Somebody still got to be last.

Speaker 5 (24:27):
I think I might do this bit on my show,
like what are the fifteen worst gand no good on
the schedule? Right? I'm into it now like this we're
kind of running low on NFL content. No, we're gonna
be good. We're gonna look for a while.

Speaker 4 (24:41):
Guys, Now this is it. I mean, you just break
it down clean by eight.

Speaker 5 (24:45):
Thing, what really is the one hundred and sixty seventh
best case?

Speaker 2 (24:52):
All right, so we got the Jared Golf contract running
in parallel. On the defensive side of things, Winfield four years,
eighty four more. I mean, that's the biggest smile I've
seen on a guy's doing a photo in quite some time.

Speaker 4 (25:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (25:06):
Yeah, I mean he was going to reset the market.
There was, there was no two ways about that. It
was pretty well known throughout the industry before they you know,
tag them, and this was going to be this is
going to be a massive contract. I think the pendulum
is swinging, man, I do I know that this has
been a depressed position for a while, but we're seeing

(25:28):
guys who find ways to affect that. It's sort of
like we've got these hybrid offensive players right the you
know Debo, like these guys who you know, even McCaffrey,
These guys who do a bunch of different things. You
can line them up all over the place. You know,
they really play three or four different positions. And there's
been people looking for that and some have missed, right.

(25:50):
I think the Arizona Cardinals might have missed three different
times in the first round on this guy, this type
of guy themselves alone. But we're starting to see what
that looks like when it you know, when it, when
it actually happens. Like I can remember Jeremy Chin was
kind of maybe going to be this guy with the Panthers, right,
but like Winfield is it, and like Kyle Hamilton is it,

(26:11):
And you know there might be a kid the Iowa
corner who might play a lot of safety, like he
might end up being something like that maybe in that
same vicinity with the Eagles, Like I think you're you're
going to see an upswing like Kyle Hamilton's gonna trump
this big time a year from now if he does
anything close to what he did last year. So the

(26:34):
days of people bemoaning safety salaries, I think are are dwindling.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
All right, Jay, I'm going to help you out with
this exercise. You ready, Yeah, I'm going to hit you
with a couple of games that we know we're getting,
and you tell me if you think these are bottom
ten games?

Speaker 3 (26:48):
Okay, okay, okay? Ready? Are they all Jets games? Stop?
Stop Rogers? If Rodgers is healthy, all the games are good? Broncos, Raiders, Broncos.

Speaker 5 (27:00):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (27:01):
One of them.

Speaker 5 (27:02):
I kind of feel like those divisional games and they
could be sneaky good just because they know each other. Like,
I don't know, it's hard for me in a vacuum
to take one of those two or the worst. Come,
I haven't done the work like I haven't my kids
and I have in front of us, Like I'm not
just going to go off half cocked about something as

(27:23):
important as this, Like I need to, you know, give
with me. Next week I might have a better idea
of some of these, Like I got to find some
real out of like conference, just just games that make
you want to throw up on your shoes, just in
a vacuum.

Speaker 4 (27:38):
Okay, all right, but I don't have it in front.

Speaker 5 (27:41):
Of me, you know what I mean, Like I'm not sure,
Like okay, you know, does Washington.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
Play from the Giants, Like that's going to be a
bottom ten game.

Speaker 5 (27:52):
Yeah, but that's another divisional ones. I'm trying to, you
know what I mean, I'm trying to not be obvious, like, well,
we're waiting where, you know what I mean, Like, that's
that's what I'm aspiring to. I don't know if they
meet this year, you know what I mean. Like I'm
not sure Grett Carr versus the Raiders like that, you
know what I mean, there's some perversion, some perversion in that,

(28:14):
like you know, like I want to see Gardner Minshew
go down to that dome and beat their car.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
Okay instead instead of that? Okay, instead of that. But
here's what I want.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
I want to record it, whether it's GoPro or on
your phone, when you gather your family round and say, hey,
I know we had plans this summer we're gonna go
to the shore.

Speaker 3 (28:32):
We're gonna go here.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
Instead We're spending the entire summer ranking all two hundred
and seventy two games.

Speaker 5 (28:38):
We're not going any revel baseball tournament, no, no vacation,
no nothing. We're gonna have the definitive list of these
games in reverse order. Yeah, oh yeah, it'd be great.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
Got some markers, some poster board, and the way we go.

Speaker 5 (28:53):
We would have thought of this sooner. I could have
been prepared and like, had it next year. I'm gonna
have mine ready to come out as soon as let's go, right,
yea year, I'm just gonna subvert the whole thing, all right,
whip it right on tier.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
He's on Twitter at Jason Lock and for at Jason
Lock and for honesty Washington plus one O five to seven,
the fan of Baltimore.

Speaker 3 (29:13):
Jay is always buddy appreciated.

Speaker 7 (29:15):
Man.

Speaker 5 (29:15):
We'll talk to you Soonleman.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
See Jason taking phone calls on that was This is
Packers Bears at one fifty rank too low?

Speaker 3 (29:24):
How good is this game? Right now?

Speaker 5 (29:27):
Good?

Speaker 3 (29:27):
I like that continuum. Let's go.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
It's actually third, middle, third, the script on the bottom
seventeen you do. It's every Jets game, you know, Okay,
if if Aaron Rodgers is hurt again. Yes, said yes, yes,
what do you mean he may not be?

Speaker 4 (29:42):
He may may, and we better get paid by Chrisins.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
To watch he may he Okay, just because it happened,
let's get better. It doesn't mean it's gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
It didn't get better. Yes, it can't be any word.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
This isn't a disney He only played snaps.

Speaker 1 (29:57):

I'm really mad about, and what I'm really really.

We got two big NFL stories coming up at about
fifteen minutes. Huge, but listen, it's time to talk about
the Knicks and the Pacers, okay, because after this weekend

(31:10):
there are things I'm okay with, things I'm mad about,
things I'm really mad about, Okay.

Speaker 4 (31:17):
Really mad?

Speaker 3 (31:18):
Yes, yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:19):
You couldn't come up with a better term in the
five minutes that you were wandering the hots because you
were really really Now you dropped one of the release.

Speaker 1 (31:26):
Well, I figure too many and the word loses its meaning.
I don't want that.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
I want you know, really, what I'm okay with, what
I'm mad about, what I'm really mad, what I'm volcanic about. Yea, uh, okay,
what I'm okay with. Look, I told you it was
going to be to t coming back to push SG
the whole time. There's still the miracle shot by Nenmark.
I still can't believe.

Speaker 4 (31:46):
You still hate him.

Speaker 5 (31:47):
He was.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
Look, it's it's the end of the tunnel. I can
see the light at the end of the tunnel for
the Knicks, and it's an oncoming train. I can see
the I can see the end of their run coming
because they're slowly running out of gas.

Speaker 3 (32:01):
A little bit.

Speaker 2 (32:02):
You saw the players finally admit, Hey, maybe it caught
up to us a little bit. Okay, told you they're
missing free throws in game three. That's gonna help them
win that game. And that was the end. So I know,
I told you from the beginning. It's a magic carpet ride.
They're playing six guys. Basically, maybe it's enough to get
through the Pacers. Maybe I'm hoping it's enough to get
through the Pacers, but maybe it's not. So I'm okay

(32:23):
with that. I'm okay with best three. Baby, let's go.

Speaker 3 (32:26):
Now. What I'm mad about is that the Pacers just.

Speaker 2 (32:29):
Whined and complained and cried and cried the first two games.
They cried about small market teams, and they cried about
the officiat and they cry and now it's two two
and it's well, yeah, we know new York is a
dangerous team, and now they're all haughty after it's two two.
It's like a little kid who cries and cries and
cries to take his favorite toy away. Then you say, fine,

(32:49):
here take the toy, and the kid stops crying. Oh
I'm ready for dinner now, Mommy and daddy Like, that's
what the Pacers are. They cried and they cried and
they cried, and now suddenly it's oh yo, well now
things are okay. Oh yeah, no, I'm okay, I'm okay.
Now that's the Pacers And that's what makes me mad.
And that makes me mad.

Speaker 3 (33:03):
Now what makes me really mad?

Speaker 2 (33:05):
Really mad? Madder than that, real mad, and madder than that.
Every bleeping night in the NBA playoffs, a team loses
by twenty. Every single stinking night, we got bad games.
Why don't we spend so much time about the Nicks
and the Pacers, Because the Knicks and the Pacers are
playing at least competitive, right, Yeah, but every body, the
Celtics win by twenty, then they lose by twenty. They

(33:26):
win by twenty, they lose by twenty. The Nuggets get
blown out at home by ten and by twenty. Then
they go and they win on the road. Every team
loses by twenty a bunch of times in the playoffs,
and we blow it off and well, they'll come back
and play better next game, and okay, that'll be better.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
They'll be better.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
They'll be It was a bad they gave this game
and the lose by twenty. The Knicks lose one game
by twenty, one game by twenty points. Inside of them,
it's over.

Speaker 7 (33:50):
They're done.

Speaker 4 (33:51):
We knew it.

Speaker 2 (33:52):
Bruntson's done. Hard is done to. Evencenzo stinks. They can't
get enough guys out here. They're gonna lose and lose
four in a row. They lose one game by twenty,
that's oh, it's over. Everybody else's well, they lose a
game by twelve, they'll get it back next up. You
learn a lot when you lose by twenty, But the
next it's no, no, oh, they're done.

Speaker 4 (34:09):
No, they're done.

Speaker 3 (34:09):
They're done. That's what makes me really really mad.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
Although you can take the other bit with the pacers
and kind of flip it a little bit, because I'm
pissed at that too.

Speaker 3 (34:17):
No Upsode, we're not gonna get any calls.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
Hey, it's two two oh well I'm okay now, all
right now, fum stop. Let me address the Pacers part
of it. The complaints again, we're always looking for the
next call, whether you're yelling at a youth referee, you're
looking for the next call. You missed this one, now,
might you mean over the top a little bit? Seventy
eight times you missed all seventy eight of these calls? Oh,

(34:40):
I mean you don't enumerate them quite the same way,
but yeah, I mean that's what they did. Devin decided,
if we're in for a penny, we're in for a pounds,
it should be no founds on my team and everybody
else still out on that team. They didn't say that,
They just picked seventy eight instances where things should.

Speaker 4 (34:54):
Have gone their way over two games.

Speaker 3 (34:57):
Yes, because that's how it You get seventy eight.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
If you do that, that means zero fouls on the Pacers,
and everybody on the Knicks fouls out because it's either
bad calls it went against you, or calls it should
have been called against the Knicks. So let's way they
break it down at all, So you know, you should
have called something on the Knicks, and so that means
every Knick should have fell.

Speaker 3 (35:14):
All said, they.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
Should have been down to playing Quentin Grimes and Hartenstein
off the bench, right, that's what they should have been
down to it at the end, and the pacers everywhere.

Speaker 3 (35:21):
We don't give it a foul at all.

Speaker 2 (35:23):
But as we always talk about here, right, and not
one play stands alone, right, It all influences. You get
a call there, Well, now the guy's playing with two fouls,
maybe he's playing defense a little differently, and it changes
the projection and the trajectory of the game. So that's it.

(35:43):
They got what they wanted. It's officiating to get home whatever.
And then as for the well, why do people overreact
in your estimation when the Knicks finally lose by twenty
because we've been watching them as a punch drunk fighter
for games.

Speaker 4 (35:58):
Upon it.

Speaker 2 (35:59):
Wow, I can't believe the heart of this team. They
got nothing left, they've got no bench, yet they win
this game. Look at the heart of a champion. Game two, Ah,
maybe a call should have gone the other, It doesn't matter.
Heart of a champion. Look at Jalen Brunson. Jalen Brunson,
the six ' to one fire plug of a man.

Speaker 4 (36:21):
Look at him.

Speaker 2 (36:21):
Make these shots down the stretch, and Tom Thibodeau doesn't have.

Speaker 4 (36:25):
A lot of strings to pull, but he's willing them
to the end. What greatness? Game three? Hey, og Ananobi's
not coming back to that door. All right?

Speaker 2 (36:34):
You lose, okay, fine to one and then you go
get bludgeted. The question with the Knicks is not all right?
Can they recover? Do they have enough able bodied men
to recover? Is this the thing that teetered, you know,
over the edge with the number of minutes and heavy
minutes that they've had to play.

Speaker 4 (36:53):
That's why it's different. It's not.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
Ah, they stopped in the third quarter because they were
getting bludgeoned like every one of these other teams eames
where they just stop playing basketball. Let's go down to
the Impractical Jokers.

Speaker 1 (37:07):
Because this game from Nicks pacers betcast to go to
Impractical Joke that you a more competitive prank. Not enough
if you are live betting the Knicks down by thirty,
So we're gonna go to a new show.

Speaker 2 (37:18):
That's right, not enough interest even hold the gamblers among you.

Speaker 3 (37:22):
No one's put one wager down on the Knicks. I'm
giving they look at him.

Speaker 1 (37:27):
That would be a great job of like a mad
money Jim Kramer kind of guy going, you want to
put moneys, I'll give you thirty right now.

Speaker 3 (37:34):
When you call me and put that money on the
next thirty is not good enough, I'll give you thirty
three in game betting right now.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
Hey, man, if you give him the phone number, they
may call in and have a hot take for you
while you're at it.

Speaker 4 (37:43):
Toe.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
But but that's it, buddy. That's the reason is because
people have been waiting like a weebel for them to
finally go over the top instead of that slow return
to normal. What I'm okay with, what I'm mad about,
What I'm really mad about? Coming up next, Two big quarterbacks,
two big NFL stories.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
