Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's the Flavor podcast Network.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
You're listening to Stacissura and Charlie's off the record.
Speaker 3 (00:09):
Put your record that it's time for off the record.
And one of the reasons that I'm talking about this
on our podcast rather than live on the radio is
that we were on at breakfast time and no one
wants to hear chat like this at breakfast time. To me, well,
it's because I went to Bali right for the first
time for my brother's wedding and they talk about Barley
(00:31):
Belly and I was worried, well not too worried about it,
but it's careful so and even brushing your teeth using
proper water that you can brush your teeth with, not drinking,
you know, like don't let any of the shower water
touch mouth, and like don't just you know, eat random
things off the street. And so I made it. I
was pretty happy with myself, you know, made sure that
(00:53):
we're prepared with medicine if we did need it. But
I made it without having Ballei Belli, one of my
girls was at I wasn't exactly you know, vomiting or
anything like that, but tell me why the time that
I did get start to experience the symptoms of ballybally
was once I was on the plane home.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
But would you rather have Bali belly here in New
Zealand or in Bali, either of.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Those places, but not on the plane?
Speaker 2 (01:24):
True?
Speaker 3 (01:24):
That is the worst.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Has it ever been?
Speaker 3 (01:26):
Like?
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Okay, this is taking off the record to another level.
But have you ever used a toilet on the plane
like doing a Okay, this is probably okay, you know
where I'm going with this, right, have you ever taken
a ship on the okay? Well, this has happened to me, right,
This was I think the water in tongue because.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
We had similar so tongo belly or cover belly.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
The cover belly. But the thing is we have our
water from the tank, so it's like like obviously the
rain water. But I all of a sudden had like
diarrhea and I was on the plane doing my thing,
and then there was turbulence. So this is the worst.
And then you hear the people are okay, put your
(02:12):
seatbuts on and I'm sitting in the Toiler'm like, oh, bro,
I can't right now, I can't right now, where's the seatbout?
When I'm sitting on the toilet And if you know,
you know the toilets. It's like a lot of tiny
matchbox Like your knees are literally touching the door here,
so bro with there's turbulence.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
Oh my goodness, did they flooding and try to get
you out, like knock on the door? I know one
knew there was there, so they should do because it
was locked, and so the light would go on.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
Yeah, I mean, like you know, when could you obviously
don't know when you hit when you're hitting turbulets.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
So I was like, oh, please, you feel a little
bit of turbulence, and then turbulence in the pokoo, and
then it's turbulence in the poko, turbulence on the plane,
and there's it's when the turbulence goes on for longer
than like thirty seconds, you know, turbulence in the air.
It could be thirty seconds, but it feels like a
whole thirty minutes.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
Yeah, anytime that you are second a toilet for sure.
So yeah, for me, the barley belly thing, I was like, no, no, absolutely,
not for one thing. There was only two toilets on
this plane for some reason, Oh my goodness. And just
you know, just when you know that you're not in
control of how long you're going to be in there.
So anyway I had come appeared. I had some you know, emodium,
(03:23):
just like medicine, just in case that happened, but I thought, oh,
maybe I need the most powerful thing i've got, so instead,
I'm just gonna admit I used this medicine that my
husband took to Ethiopia three years ago from a travel doctor.
Did you go so, yeah, I'm figuring out, oh, this
should be fine, and it was. Thank you, little medicine.
(03:45):
You you saved my life. I was okay, I made
it and everything was where it was supposed to be
by the end.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
Of the trice.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
Okay, thank you, thank you so much, and thank you
for the graphic detail Charlie put me in.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
