Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello the Internet, and welcome to this episode of a
trend with weed is a friend indeed, um that courtesy
of Miles Gray and Lepricon in the hood and I'm
about to do that boy, yeah, the lepri Con and
I'm irish. Uh, I'm Jack, you are Miles because that's
(00:22):
an offensive stereotype and I'm irish. Hey, what's happening on
this fine Friday afternoon? Happy happy October to you, Happy October. Okay,
so the USPS talk about spooky these these delivery times
are scaring the heck out of me, Miles. So mail
(00:44):
delivery for many Americans will slow starting today, which is
part of Postmaster General Lewis de Joys blueprint for making
the USPS like worse is basically, he's like to make
it profitable and slash costs. And it's only ever people
(01:06):
who are like Trump a Jason or you know Trump
appointees that are real concerned about slashing costs when Democrats
and in office, what a fucking I mean when you
look at like how slow things are going to move now,
it's it's absurd. The Postal Service was again like mostly
(01:27):
were saying, like it's like the one good functioning part
of the government that is like trying their best despite
some ghoulish DeJoy trying to funk everything up. Um, but
I mean until they can sort out how to get
him out. And I don't I still don't understand why
to get him out? Yeah, why why is he still there?
(01:47):
Was he trying to wrap the election? Last we heard,
last we checked in with him, Well, you know, I
was just, uh, I'm just messing with some we look,
I had to dismantle them, and they're hard to put
back together. It was a whole thing. Maybe I was,
Maybe I wasn't, but I don't know. I mean, like,
I know he's I'm pretty sure. The last one of
the last things was like the FBI was investigating him
(02:09):
because of like campaign fundraising stuff. So, yeah, how is
this person staying in office? Yeah? And I think that's
the thing is like b Biden could absolutely just clean
the funk up. But I'm I'm not entirely sure that
there's so many I guess other issues to focus on.
(02:29):
But it's not it's not like he can't be outed.
It's like he's a Supreme Court justice. So people are
pointing out that bill delivery will sudden, suddenly be much slower.
You might be laid on your bills, um, both receiving
them and paying them. If you still pay thermail, it's
going to undermine the public's faith in the USPS heading
(02:53):
into the time that uh, we are most reliant on
the USPS, which is yeah, when we're all sending each
other that's what it is. That's the postal board that
can fire him. And Biden has like appointees, but there's
still these like there's still some Trump people in there
(03:14):
that are keeping him in place. Um, but you know,
I'm I'm pretty sure there's ways to get more aggressive
whatever that that. Yeah, a letter will take what from
going like three days if it was going from Chicago
to the West coast or saying not take like five
or something like that. The Super Bowl halftime show was
announced yesterday right after we recorded. UM. It is going
(03:38):
to be produced by Rock Nation and feature Kendrick Snoop,
Dr Dre, Mary J. Blige, and Eminem. Now I'm starting
to like realize what it was like when like you
two would do the halftime show. I'm like, who's this for?
And I was like, oh, the older people, And then
(03:58):
like Mary J BLI to Dr Dre Snoop and I'm like,
come on now, bring it on home. I love to
see it. Yeah, well, I mean god, but that's also
like a weird That's an interesting thing given how a
lot of people were really focused on the lack of
you know what am I looking for? Addressing addressing systemic
(04:21):
oppression like in the NFL, or they're like lack of
really trying to get behind certain things like, you know, kneeling.
But how quickly things change when jay Z, you know,
is working with the NFL, because now you just opened
the door and get these other app bacts in. Yeah.
That it was like a really obviously bad look when
(04:43):
he was first partnered up with the NFL. But now
we're seeing like the outcome of that partnership, and it's
like Colin Kaepernick isn't getting a try out, or they're
going to allow people to kneel. It's like no, but
hold on. Eminem and may E J. Blige, Snoop Dogg
and Dr J will be at the halftime show. I
(05:04):
mean a lot of hits here, A lot of hits
too many? Yeah, what are what are they? I mean,
there's gonna be a lot of chronic two thousand one,
there's gonna be a lot of whatever Kendricks. I'm guessing
speaking of the name of this episode, I'm guessing there's
gonna be lots of the the Top of the Morning, Top
of the Morning, Top of the Morning, on top of
the Morning. Could I Yeah, Yeah, I'm I'm here for it.
(05:31):
The toxicology reports on Michael Kay Williams came back and
as suspected, he did overdose on fentinyl. It just emphasizes
like how dangerous it is right now for people who
use drugs, um the importance of testing your drugs, especially
they're they're pointing out that like people who take a
break and are like relapsing, you know, it's not it's
(05:53):
not always the time when you're at your most like
logical or like patient um and is killing people who
you know are used to using at a time when
fentanyl wasn't in a lot of drugs, So just be
very very careful. In the U s head its worst
year on record for fatal overdoses with deaths, which is
(06:17):
an astounding number, and more than six of those were
linked to fentanyl. So it's a massive crisis of where
Americans are being poisoned UM because it's in drugs, and
America is built on this like puritanical foundation. People aren't
treating it like poisoning. They're just like, you know, well,
(06:39):
shouldn't do fentanyl. Then yeah, it's like, well they're not
doing Oh my, okay, thanks for the compassion, folks. Yeah.
The majority of Trump Yeah what what is that? The
majority of Trump supporters around said that they agreed that
they would favor red or blue states seceding from the Union. Okay, um, yeah,
(07:05):
I mean, I mean, sure to ask ask someone who
has no idea of how anything works, like they're writing
on secession. But sure, I get the I I get
the energy, I get the energy. I see you all
out there saying you could do your own thing without
understanding supply chains or how a lot of services work
as it relates to the federal government. But I mean,
(07:25):
I think that's just sort of the tone at the moment.
Just just be your own country, because it's that easy.
Has there ever been like a country that was like
a patchwork quill of like disconnected, like all the Red
states like we're part of it one country and all
the Blue states were part of another, like just not connected. Yeah,
(07:48):
I mean I think that's just typically when civil wars
break out. But yeah, I mean, who knows what I mean,
there is an idea of what it would look like.
Check out it could happen here from Robert Yeah, I
stopped thinking about civil wars after ACTL. Rose said what
what's so civil about war? Anyways? I was like, dude, anyways,
(08:11):
that's that's pretty wild. Uh. And I feel like they
really believe that with their you know, whole body as
on January six, I mean, that's it's very true. I
don't doubt that these people would think that the solution
to all of this is to just be their own
country or whatever the funk they think. Yeah, and which
(08:32):
is another another thing that keeps being discussed. Yeah, all right,
let's take a quick break and we'll come back and
talk about Joe Rogan. And we're back. It's time to
check in with our podcast Overlord Joe Rogan the person
(08:55):
that now is most often if if I'm talking to
friend of a friend or something and oh, yeah, no,
I love Joe Rogan. Do you work for Joe Rogan?
Or like what yeah, I do? I do? We uh,
(09:15):
we roll, we roll all the time at the Jiu
Jitsu place yeah, brand storm all sorts of absurd bullshit
that he can speculate about. What's his uh, what's his
bullshit bullshit? Dre is that he doesn't think Joe Biden
actually got the COVID booster on TV this week, which
(09:38):
is what is it? What is he saying it is? Like?
What is he just thinking? I don't think they would
take that chance? All right? Come on, the President faked
it all when he claimed to have received his third
dose of the fiser vaccine. I think if they were
going to give him a booster shot, the last thing
they would do is give it to him lab on television.
What if he dies, we'll see that. The fucking point
(10:01):
is he's not going to die, and he didn't fucking
safe you dumb, No, no, no, he died, he'd black out,
he turned into a werewolf. What if he blacks out?
What if he like gets it in faints? Like because
people have had very bad reactions like in the moment
for whatever reason, that's not a fucking explanation. You're okay anyway, Um,
(10:24):
go off, go off, honey, do your thing over there. Queen.
That also sounds like you just know when people like
you can hear even though this is a written down
like quote of his, you can hear how he the
momentum was deflating in that dumb fucking thought, like like
what if he blacks out? What if like he gets
it in faints, like because people have had very bad
(10:46):
reactions like in the moment for whatever reason. Okay, you're
so vague. You didn't read the book. Your book report
was bad, sir, This is all vague. So yeah, but
like you know, for whatever reason and therefore such as
underlying within, Yeah, Joe Rogan is a stoned guy who
(11:08):
didn't do his homework. Um, Brett is trending. Brett Calves
got their own and Brett Calves got their own doggy
Brett Cavy with their own. Yeah, he tested positive. He's
a he's asymptomatic, he's vaccinate indo, blah blah blah. Um.
But a lot of people like he had some running
(11:30):
like some marathon event with like other members of the
government or something. And there's this weird picture him like
sticking his tongue out like with the Washington Senator's had
is like running in his racing bib. It's damn did
he have short shorts on? Do you have those short runners. Dude,
he looked like a fucking dad who is chasing a
hot dog vendor and like several parts or something, it's
(11:50):
like not like nothing athletic about it. Um, you know
that's checking And any other time I think people would
be like, brick, come no, dude, come on man, que
up the Ghanaian Paul Bearer music, let's see what's happening.
But no, this is we're stuck with these people his uh.
I think in retrospect, like where where we've gone his
(12:15):
performance where he just like said he loved bear and
cried like aggressively and angrily is like sort of we've
just kind of memory hold that a little bit. But
it is so wild that that happened. Well, I think
because it's just so painful to watch that someone who
it seems so evident just with how like aggressive their
(12:37):
defense was that You're like, dude, do you do You
just come off as such a guilty person even if
you did, even if you didn't do what that what
is being alleged? You just don't seem like you have
your fit to be making decisions on like other people's
bodies at all. When you're saying things like what was
it to Amy Klovich? I was like, are you an alcoholic?
(12:59):
And she's like, fam, no, I'm not. And first of all,
like what the funk? Don't don't chest pass that? But
right back to me like that, Yeah, it was yeah,
it was just rambling. Yeah. And he's on the Supreme
Court and going to determine term limits, term limits, term
(13:19):
limits or everything, term limits for them, term limits for
even doing a Democrat Richard Blumenthal, who was demanding the
end of finn st uh fince to is a product
that you own, and so let's get let's get it
done with because the kids are doing the fence too.
In my opinion, that's not how And it's like and
(13:39):
you and you are you are running Swisher Sweets Cigars company, Yes,
and will you end blunts? Will you put an end
to blunt's? Well, well, the blunt isn't a product we make. Um,
people use the cigars. I'm just asking, ma'am. I will
have you know. I listened to Joe Rogan. He did
talk about fence to um and he told me that
(14:01):
you guys are doing a fence to okay, and you
can deny it as much as you want, but you
did the fence to and now you're gonna do the
time stuff. Uh yeah, that guy that that person I
was just doing an impression of wasn't very funny. Uh
let's talk about dunkers. Oh yeah, time to talk him dunkers.
(14:23):
D I love a dunker. Josiah Johnson at ken Josiah
fifty four asking Twitter who is the best in game
dunker ever in basketball? If I'm not great? Q, just Siah.
You know a lot of people are out here for
Sean Kemp, which I think Sean Kemp might be my
(14:45):
answer because just absolutely like power and just rim abuse,
rim abuse, Yeah, just absolute just crushing people. He dunked
on rims he dunked on and then like he's landing
sometimes you have a little swag like it's like, oh,
get my balance because I basically landed on earth as
(15:06):
a fucking alien. Yeah. That was always a lot of
fun watching Shack dunk on somebody and have that person, Um,
that person's body react as though they just stepped on
a live land mine. UM is always exciting where they're
just like blown backwards. Um. Dominique Wilkins. I don't think
(15:27):
I watched a single live game that he played in
in his prime, right, Yeah, yeah, like that's when I
that's what's this mothercker can't even like I watched in
the dunk contests back then because I was like five
and felt like that it was so cool. But yeah,
(15:48):
like when you look at the highlights of him, he
a lot of rim abuse and just an amazing athlete.
But a lot of people are pointing out that, like
Vince Carter is the best dunker ever, whether you're talking contests,
We're not like he jumped over a seven foot guy's
head and dunked on him. I mean that will never
you know, Frederick Weiss will never live that down. You there,
(16:15):
We've never seen something like that. Uh you say, we've
never seen him again? After we never saw him again,
he absolutely went into hiding. But yeah, I mean, like
Vince Carter was just such a He was a poet,
you know with his dunking. Um, And a lot of
people are like, yo, people aren't saying Stroe Mile Swift enough.
And I was like, whoa interesting contribution. Bezel Dabu was like,
(16:40):
where's where's the love for st Swift? Wow? That's interesting? Wow.
Um Jordan was also a really fun in game dunker. UM.
But not so. I mean, obviously, I feel like he
would usually do it on fast breaks. Um, he wouldn't
like go out of his way to just fucking dunk
on someone in in traffic because there's not a competitive
(17:04):
advantage to that as much as it's just fun to do.
Who's the best end game dunker right now? Mm hmmm
mm hmmm. I mean Lebron was for a while really
fun to fun to watch. I feel like I have
an answer to this and it's just escaping my mind
right now. I'm I'm old. Yeah, Blake Griffin back in
(17:27):
the day. Yeah, Blake Griffin back in the day. That's
back in Like, I mean, he's still there, but she's
still in Moneague. Um, I mean DeAndre Jordan was fun. Yeah,
he's like a utility dunker. Yeah, he does just like
dunk whenever he wants to. He's like a dunk for
(17:48):
any occasion. Yeah, for whom the dunk told. Yeah, all right,
Well that's been our riveting discussion of dunkers. Dunker is
also just feeling a thing that like somebody who's not
into basketball would call it, like I love a good
dunker man dunk. Yeah. Anyways, get at us NBA fans,
(18:13):
let us know who we miss uh in our zero
suggestions of who the best dunker in the modern NBA is.
We're back on Monday with the whole last episode of
the show. Until then, be kind to each other, be
kind to yourselves, get the vaccine, don't do nothing about
what promise the and we'll talk to Tell on Monday.
