Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello the Internet, and welcome to this special episode of
the Sound of Zitness. That that's that, that's that the
that that that that that. It's weird how that started
out with vocals, but then it became an instrumental when
(00:20):
after Phil Collins silent versions it um that was courtesy
of Miguel Savedra. And that's Jamie Love. Hi, Jack O'Brien.
(00:40):
This Jack O'Bryant is what's trended and I like it.
I like that intro because it feels like something that
would be on a local TV station or something. Yeah,
well we're we have all sorts of local TV stations
have to talk about today, Yeah, we do. But first up,
(01:04):
let's talk about Herman Kine, Herman Caine. Herman So he
went to that Tulsa rally, the famous infamous Tulsa Rally,
the Trump won Uh that a lot of has caused
a lot of people to test positive was already before
(01:25):
it happened, causing people to test positive for coronavirus. Herman
Kine has been hospitalized with COVID nineteen. So as of
this recording, it's not it doesn't sound like it's he's
not on a respirator. It's not um extremely serious. Uh I.
(01:46):
I don't even know what to say about this trend.
Like this is a trend that's kind of like fucking duh,
like fucking duh. Yes, my comentary on this trend is
sucking duh. He he went without him ask too as at? Yeah,
what does he say? What is that stead? The statement
is I would like to get sick. Yeah, well, I'm
(02:10):
Republican man, and that is so important to me. Uh,
I will die for it, yeay. Or it's I have
a pretty mouth. Look at my pretty mouth. Yeah, you
can't really take in the full pictures. I mean, I
obviously I don't wish any harm on him, But this
(02:32):
is a real fucking dust story. Yeah, it's a real duh.
It's a real duh. I do wonder, like our how
is this being covered? How is this information being greeted?
How is this entire second spike being greeted in the
media that you know, in the que circles, amongst Q
(02:54):
and on, amongst the people who thought we were all
panicking way too much. I guess I don't really, I
don't have enough cues in my life. I don't know.
I'm very curious because I mean it's it's uh, you know,
the president is oscillating on hit. Like he said sometime
today or last night that he was like, oh, no,
(03:16):
masks are fine by me. Cool, great, And so it's like,
think bad about masks, right right, just like backpedaling now
that it's affecting people close to him. I I don't really,
I mean, the logic is truly untrackable to the part
where I feel there is none Pence. Pence's like the
(03:38):
whole take had been that we this was okay because
the death rate was so much lower this time around UM,
but that was purely based on the fact that it
was like early stages and young people were getting it,
but it was still spreading exponentially through the community, so
that like anybody could have told you that wasn't going
(03:59):
to last. And now, uh, you know, Arizona just had
a record day in terms of uh deaths from coronavirus,
and I'm sure that is not going to be the
worst of it. So he immediately revised his statement for
being completely full of ship, or stopped saying it at
(04:21):
the very least until it becomes convenient again to return
to that, and then I'm sure he will Anyways, shout
out to Herman Kaine. Hopefully he survives this comes out
and is uh an advoctate take of his life. I know,
oh Man, Clone High is trending. Uh. This is a
(04:45):
animated show I was like I knew about but was
not did not watch when I was on. This is
a kind of fun This is a kind of fun one.
So we talked about reboot on trends yesterday to where
basically what the it says to me as that MTV
is going to reboot old properties instead of investing in
new ones, which I find uh to be personally depressing.
(05:09):
But I really like Clone High And if you haven't
seen the original show, I think it was on in
uh like the early two thousands. I think it's the
first like Lord and Miller uh project ever And they
went on to do they most recently did into the
Spider Verse, but they've done they did like the one
and twenty two Jump Street that didn't allow stuff, uh Ben.
(05:32):
This was their first show and it is really funny.
It stars Will Forte uh and it was a cute
little show that lasted for a season. Most of the
episodes are on YouTube and I fee it actually feels
kind of where I was like, kind of like, I
don't know, Beavis and butth Hood makes sense for a
(05:52):
current reboot, and it's kind of depressing to be like,
oh and now they talk about zoomer stuff. I feel
like Clone High actually could makes sense as a reboot.
So sure, what are your thoughts on Will Forte? I
love him? Did you do you like mc gruber? I?
I do like mc gruber is it's a classic movies.
(06:14):
I love that movie so much. It's absolutely a classic
and I'm so glad to hear you like it. That
makes me happy for some reason. H And I did
not know that they started with that show though, Lord
and Miller. Uh they Yeah. I think that they were
like in their like late twenties or something, and it
was like their first thing is the premise that it's
(06:37):
like high school with all sorts of historical figures cloned. Yeah. Yeah.
So the lead character is Abe Lincoln. Uh, and so
Will Forte plays a Lincoln, and there's like Cleopatra is there,
jfk is like the jock Joan of arc is there,
and she's like a goth girl and it's all it's
(07:00):
super silly and uh, not all the original series probably
did not age the best, but but it is. I
feel like it's an update able concept that will be good.
I'm excited, awesome. UH masks are trending. Have you seen this?
Have you heard about this? You heard about these masks
(07:21):
not in the cane household, but they are trending elsewhere
because there was a recent uh study I guess in
the past few days that was released that ranked the
different like masks masks styles in terms of how well
they suppress a sneeze. Um with bandana, which I have
(07:46):
been uh occasion to use. I've had occasion to use
when I use Yeah, I I used a bandana or
two early on, or if all my other masks are
stinky or dirty. Yeah. Um. They say worst one. So
normal normal sneeze travels eight ft, the droplets travel eight feet.
(08:10):
Gross with a bandannon it travels three ft. So improvement,
but not that much of an improvement. Then they have
the folded handkerchief, which is not a mask. That I
that's not a mask solution. I'm familiar with. That one's
the second worst. It's about a foot and a half. Um,
(08:34):
and then the best is cone mask co mask is uh.
I think it's just like your standard, like you know
all the all the masks that are designed to be
mask like with the folds and all that stuff. Yeah,
I think that. I think that is the one that
it's like, it's way better. It's like two inches. The
(08:57):
sneeze goes, wow, wear a mask and people are everyone's
making such beautiful masks too. There's no it's it's you
can make a statement with this ship. You must and
you must uh superser around hose Nie. It makes the
coolest masks. Yeah. Um. And finally, uh, we wanted to
(09:23):
check back in with the Jersey Mike's story. Jersey Mike saga.
Uh started by assort leicster year on uh with a tweet.
But so we talked about this one uh today's episode.
I guess it was. I think yes, it was today.
(09:46):
So it's it's continued to grow, Like I truly love
where this story went. So there is now a I
think it's a local New Jersey UH local news broadcast
that has covered this story accurately say like it's not
(10:07):
like they fell for it or anything. They say like
they it's this poor report like reporter who looks like
he's been at it for a while, also seems resentful
that he has to cover the story standing in front
of a Jersey Mix in New Jersey, UH saying that, well,
there was a false statement from yas or Lester about
(10:27):
Jersey Mix. Anyways, we know it's false, but here we
are asking people at Jersey mis what they think about it.
It's great, and they got like a bunch of kids
who are like, you have to be careful what you
say because like it can hurt people like Jersey Mix.
You have to Yeah, Um, nobody really takes Jersey Mike's
(10:48):
feelings into this, uh into account, and like they talk
about Jersey Mix as if Jersey a sick person feelings
are hurt. And they also there's just a bunch of
good sound bites or they're like Jersey Mix gives back
to the community actually quite a lot. So I don't
really understand, like why you would come for Jersey Mix.
(11:10):
And then at one point someone says it's not Jersey
Mike's fault, that that's what his name is. Why or
like they're like, it's not the businesses fault, that that's
what their name is. It's like, no, it is their fault,
that that's what their name what the original tweet was, Yes,
or Leicester created like a statement from Jersey Mix saying
(11:32):
that they changed changed the name of their b LT
to BLM in support of Black Lives Matter, and they
spelled it out as bacon let usmato And it was
just so dumb and people were falling for it and
got enough retweets that this local news station, we're like,
(11:54):
we're in New Jersey, better dispatched the street reporter to
the nearest Jersey Mike's boy. Yeah, they seem vaguely mad
at him for making the joke, Like there's one guy
who's like, there's definitely a lot of passive aggressive ship. Yeah.
(12:14):
They've always been a stand up organization and not not
into gimmicks, So I don't know what this is about.
It's like, yeah, well it's a it's a it's not true. Yeah,
it's like that. The point of the story is that
they didn't do it. They said that at the beginning.
I'm wondering, like, how did the news company like prime
them do the people know? I don't know. I think
(12:37):
it is kind of I mean, it's ultimately another win
for Yessair because he now has all these like aggrieved
Jersey teens being like, why are you being mean to
Jersey Mike? Like? Which is a beautiful thing to come
from all of this. And you should be careful what
(12:59):
you write on social media because it can hurt people's feelings.
That's such as Jersey Mike. And then the broadcast closes
by the reporter being like, And as Mr Lester said
in his response, statement, you can always google these things.
(13:21):
I've been Jersey Mike back to you. Isn't Jersey Mike
from Jersey Mike's bad person? Is that? Is he the
one who is Jersey Mike? Another Papa John. I don't
know who Jersey Mike. I'm like Kiki Palmer, I do
not know that man, like no idea. I think he's
(13:43):
a big game hunter who is perpetually looks like he's
uncomfortably tan. But I could be mistaking him for like
Johnny Joe's subs or I feel like there's another There's
so many sub connoisseurs, there's so many ship food connoisseurs
with bad politics, it's hard to keep up. Um. Anyways, Jamie,
