Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello the Internet, and welcome to this episode of The
Zeithiker's Guide to the Trend Lexie courtesy of The Discord.
I am Jack, That is DJ Daniel Jack. I'm okay, man,
but the real question is how are you doing? I'm
okay as well. Upset Tommy, Tommy A low energy, a

(00:24):
moment low ende um and do you do you care
to talk about because we're sharing uh stories of bad
decisions made. I woke up in the middle of the
night two nights ago, um and a half a pint
of ice cream two times, two separate half pints of

(00:46):
ice cream of UH, as well as a bunch of
Oreo cookies. Not good. And then I woke up the
next day and felt like ship yep ye, like I'm
in the throes of the very same experience. Late last
night in my weed adult state, one of the roommates suggested,
I want Taco bellt and guess what we all fell

(01:07):
for the trap and um one order of nacho fries
and Baha blast later, and I do not feel good
this morning. Yeah that's not good, man, It's not It's
not the Taco bell it's the fries. Bro. They're so bad.
You saw those ads. They're haunted. I know they are haunted.
They're literally haunted. Haunt your gizzard. Yep. Um, all right,

(01:30):
Should we tell the people what's trending or keep talking
about our GI issues? No, let's talk about what's all right. Uh.
Someone who might be experiencing some g I issues is
a g I n a corono because she is dropped,

(01:52):
but dropped from the Mandalorian for being a shitty mega chuck. Yep.
There's a great tweet I saw about this that was
just if you're racist and you're fired, it's your fault.
That's yeah. I think it was by Parker Malloy. Good knowledge.

(02:13):
Hell yeah, uh yeah, you know, the ship must be
kept intact when we say these gene i of of Twitter.
As much as I as much as I, you know,
hate what she had to say, we don't we need
to go into that. I do love that retribution was swift.
This wasn't like, this wasn't a chance for other people

(02:36):
either on the cast or from UTA or whatever to
reveal themselves. It was just a oh, you're out, that's it.
But yeah, it's not like they needed a bunch of pressure.
It was just quick. Uh. And this is the police
state we live in now, Daniel. Um, you just say
one wrong thing and suddenly or maybe twenty wrong things,

(03:00):
including making fun of the star of your movie for
saying what pronouns he uses, or making fun you know,
contributing to a deadly pandemic by making fun of people
for wearing masks, or you know, after a insurgency an insurrection,

(03:21):
agreeing with insurrectionists. You know. But so people on the
right are gonna get mad and say this is the
cancel culture. Uh just real quick, wanna shout out Marjorie
Taylor Green, who is miss uh anti cancel culture. But
when you look back at her takes on NFL players

(03:41):
who were kneeling, she thought they should be fired. Uh
So they're just they're just mad that their opinion is
out of favor and unsupportable. Um. Problem. Yeah. Ginakarano also, Uh,
she some Soderberg movie. It was like an action movie

(04:03):
where they were like, what if the person who was
the action star could kick ass too because she's she
her background and she's a really badass mm a fighter.
Um and that movie. There's a lot of you know,
film Twitter people, mostly people who work for the ringer

(04:24):
who convinced me that movie was good and worth watching.
I think it's better to have somebody who can act,
who you can make it look like they could kick
ass more so than somebody who can kick ass and
cannot act period point blank. Um, Yeah, I don't. I
never really understood her appearances. Yeah, I think it's a

(04:49):
you know, in a similar way too. And I guess
you know, I'm not trying to shade this person here,
but similar to Rhonda Rowsey's performance in The Fast and
the Furious franchise, you're seeing a lot of like, hey,
you know, movies are promotion just as much as they
are pieces of art, So you know, let's just I mean,
I understand why they took the job. I don't understand

(05:10):
why artists are like, we need somebody who can't act,
but who could legitimately beat people up like we don't watch.
I guess maybe it's appeals to an audience who watches
movies like it's wrestling, and they're like, the rock is
really could beat me up, and so therefore I'm good
with that exactly. Yeah, rock could beat me up. That

(05:35):
that's just facts. Unfortunately, I don't know, though, you think
I feel like I could take the Rock. He's I'm
proud of you. I'm soft baby soft. Yeah. Yeah, no,
he's he's a very slippery man. That's the only reason
he'd be able to beat me up is his hairlesseness.
I wouldn't be able to get a good grip on him,
and the fact that he doesn't have a neck and

(05:57):
couldn't really choke him out. It would just be like
grabbing more shoulder. Yeah, exactly. Also the fact that he
could probably like how far do you think the rock
could throw me? I feel like probably he could probably
shoot me and make me into a basketball. Uh, definitely
free throw for sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah, definitely free throw

(06:18):
three porter. He'd be putting some effort into it. Yeah,
I would have to like kind of comply and like
tuck in real tight. It could be one of those
which you call it Kazam situations or Shazam situations where
Shaq just like squeezes you into a ball and then
bounce to you and that shoots you. Yeah. Now we're
just working out my kink. We're just talking about my
sexual fantasies here. All right, let's talk about chick Korea.

(06:43):
Shout out to a real one legend whose name I knew,
but I didn't know why I knew it. But as
a us sen you you were, uh, you're you're sad
to hear this news. I mean, you know, I I'll
put it to you this way. I think, I think
literally this second line of his Wikipedia page is what

(07:07):
you know is what you need to hear. His composition
Spain five miles High, La Fiesta, Armando's Rumba and windows
are widely considered jazz standards, and when it comes to teaching,
you know, the art of music like jazz is such
a important uh it's it's it's such an important era

(07:28):
in music for so many reasons. Especially you know, we
we have a special episode about black history coming out
and especially it's importance in black history and promoting black artists.
And you know, jazz is, you know, maybe America's greatest
art form. And so to lose a world famous, you know,
jazz legend who created the standards that cheach future jazz musicians,

(07:51):
it's a sad day. Yeah, okay, I guess I shouldn't
been more. People the other day were like, wait, you
didn't know like this artist, I am an idiot. I
am old, I don't know. I mean, I guess that
that's no excuse for not knowing a jazz a jazz legend,

(08:11):
but because lots of the olds like like the jazz.
But um, no, I'm an idiot, I'm uncultured. Please do
not expect me to know anything except eighties movies. No no, no,
no no. Uh. Gorilla glue is back trending because our

(08:32):
girl who we talked about last week, who had gorilla
glue in her hair, had tried to use it as
a styling uh implement. Uh finally was rescued by a
plastic surgeon. UM. My main issue with the way this
story is being covered. Her name is Tessica Brown. I

(08:53):
guess we should catch people up if they missed the
episode last week. Uh. She due to a confused a
branding confusion that I think is somewhat understandable. One, there's
a hair product. There are multiple hair products that kind
of overlap in a vent diagram that would lead you
to believe gorilla glue could be a hair product. Um,
there's like guerrillas, not as one. Uh, I can't believe

(09:16):
it's not glue or something. They're come in similar sized
spray bottles, and gorilla glue comes in a spray bottle.
That is wild to me that it comes It's like
an aerosol. Can they anyways? Uh? She was out of
her normal hairstyling product, used gorilla glue the spray bottle
on her hair, and then posted like a week later.

(09:38):
I was like, hey, so in case anybody else is
going to make this mistake, don't I've washed my hair
thirty times and it was it looked like a Action
figures hair, just like straight up plastic um. But anyways, Uh,
she a plastic surgery reached out h helped her, and

(10:01):
her hair is now no longer in in the grips
of the gorilla glue. One thing that about the way
that is being covered, though, is that they're saying that
all and all he used was like water, this household thing,
this household thing, and medical strength adhesive. Remember I'm like

(10:24):
that last one, that last one is a big deal.
I feel like, yeah, that that's that's something that you
probably don't have access to. It's just I can see
the headline being something like the Houston soap, water, a
good scrub brush, and this method adhesives, Like what were
the first three things for it? Wash his hands before
the surgery so he didn't use them. Yeah, it's like

(10:45):
all right, thank you. Yeah, so don't don't try any
of this at home. But shout out to Tesca Brown,
very happy for bring us along on her journey. And uh,
definitely just a social media presence who I would like
to hear more from. She rules. Yeah, and last thing

(11:06):
on that, just just before anybody decides to try and
make fun of this person. I hold test Lynch's words
very strong. It's all there is. It is a very
thin line between the right level of tired to do that,
to do that yourself right, you only need to be
a very certain level of tired, and then you are
the next Testica. So before you start, you know, trying

(11:29):
to be a jerk about it, remember it'll happen to you.
And also I would have oh I would have hidden
this from the world until I was I just never
would have taken off my hat because I would have
been too ashamed. Uh So I also love just be
just airing it out, just being like, hey, I did

(11:50):
this silly thing and now I need help. Yeah. Um.
Taylor Swift is trending because she's re recording one of
her songs. It's coming out soon. Uh, I do just
want to say, uh, welcome to New York. Was recently
brought into our household. Uh that song slaps gets my

(12:17):
my boys. Yeah, by my boys, I mean my feet
gets no. Uh my my four year old and two
year old. That that is our dance song that we
all dance around the house too right now, So shout
out to her new appreciation another you know classic from

(12:38):
the album. Um, I love it. That's really funny. April
Jones is trending, Yes, her and Dr Dre or Daton.
Apparently her and Dr Dre are dating. Well, there's a
believe a twenty one age twenty one year age gap

(12:59):
between the two of him. Um all like the men
she dated before Lil fiz Amarian look like they could
be Dr Dre's children. But that does not change the
fact that we are happy Dr Dre is alive and
well after Yeah, and you know, shout out to the

(13:23):
happy couple. Yeah. I straight up had forgotten about that
until Anna was like, didn't he just have a brain
aneurism like a month ago. I was like, wait, yes,
wait yeah. And then there's also this uh fort Worth
accident that's trending, like top five stories trending on Google nationally,

(13:45):
which rarely a car accident that is that big that
it becomes national news, but apparently just a horrific accident.
So stay safe out there, folks. Um that is going
to do it. For today's training episode, we are back
tomorrow with a full last episode of the show. We

(14:06):
are off Monday just to get you guys prepared because
I know every every Monday people, every Monday where we
take a day off, we get the messages and just
want to prepare y'all. There will be no Monday episode.
We'll be back on Tuesday, but we do have a
full last episode tomorrow. Was good Friday, It's a good
one boy, um. And then we are yeah, full last

(14:32):
episode tomorrow. Mark. Until then, be kind to each other,
be kind to yourselves, wear a mask, wash your hands,
stay inside. Uh, don't eat ice cream or taco bell
after um, don't do it. Don't yeah, uh, don't ignore
what supremacy and we will talk to you all tomorrow.

(14:55):
Bye bye,
