Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, and welcome to this episode of Trendy hand Bads
that's basically got Fendi. You know, I got the trendy,
I got the trendy interior. Fendi interior is Fendy? Okay?
Do people still mess with Fendi? Is everything? Canceled made
it more popular again. I was watching that. I was
watching the episode of Bar Rescue, and one of the
(00:22):
men working at the bar's name was Bendy. And I
don't know if that's like someone's actual name or if
he did one of those things like I'm moving to
a new town and I'm not gonna be Brent anymore.
I'm gonna be fucking fending and then they'll respect me.
I'm gonna be Balga. That sounds like the name I
don't know, Like all the women I love love that name,
(00:42):
So I think maybe if I changed my name to that,
then they'll know and I can get out of my
dad's shadow as the premier dealer of Kia's in southern Nebraska. Now,
let's get into what's trending on the on God's Internet today. First, up,
uh chains as in two chain, because the next versus
battle Ricky Rose versus Titty Boy himself to chains so problematic.
(01:09):
It's I don't Yeah, it's like one of those things
were like do we not listen to the lyrics or
just right, that's just like you're like, we don't need
Uncle Chello. We already had one with Nellie and Nelly
and Ludicrous were literally Ludicrous is like making our Kelly
joke because we're like, sir, and now we're gonna do
Mr Rick Ross, who's like Molo no Champagne she needs.
(01:33):
He literally wrote a song about drugging women and was
like what we told him it was bad? He was like,
what I did? He almost lose his Rebok deal? Did
he lose he lost his Rebok deal? Because that didn't Yeah,
I don't remember. I was working at radio at the
time and we were like you really thought that okay,
but you ain't. You know, like I get I get
the song as you don't need no, but like you
(01:55):
definitely should eat no if you have some job. Yeah,
you will have to still respect people's agency to know
what they're consuming before you, you know, incapacitate them with drugs. Yeah,
I think it's gonna be a problematic lives. I'm trying
to think of what I like it's so weird. I'm
trying to think of whose songs I like more, but
I'm kind of like, I'm ambivalent towards both artists, Like,
(02:16):
you know, they got they got some they got some
slappers that I like to that I'll play in context,
you know, the birthday you got, you know, you gotta
play the birthday song, you know what I mean? That
was one. That's one that bay I mean again, well,
what what what do you do with these these catalogs?
D m X is one who I feel like I
didn't see his but I know it was epic. But
(02:37):
that was another artist I was like, can you can
even his lyrics? Don't none of his lyrics hold up anymore?
Like that was m was a demon. Also, I just
I couldn't watch the d m X one. I just
don't think he has enough hits for me. And you know,
I love that he yells into the microphone and that
he's made that a brand. But this one is hard
because I do like to change music, and I do
(02:58):
like Rick Ross's music, even though it's like fucking problematically
hit the radio. Well, yeah, these these ones that like
have they dominate the radio. DMX was like like he
had his like five big hits and then everything else
was for like people who were a grow enough and
into that agro hip hop that they're like, yo, I
know all the Earl Simmons bars, I call him for
saying this, but d m X is the black Eminem. Wow, wait,
(03:22):
what do you mean? And what's sense? Both just rappers
who like don't have a lot of radio hits but
like have a lot of like music that specific subsect
of the male community loves its. Like, Okay, I like that,
but I think Eminem I'm going to kill my mom
(03:43):
just do different other ones like I miss my pit
Bull and then the one's like fuck I locked my girlfriend.
Like it's like both two sides of the same going interesting.
I will just say I paper Eminem has more hits.
I think on like that. But yeah, but I like
(04:07):
where You're going, where you're going, you know, like I
like the thesis of that argument. Um okay. Next is
this is a very hip hop episode machine Gun Kelly.
He's trending because him and making Fox they have made it.
I g official, like a referee with the whistle. It's official,
y'all so good on them? Uh great, I wish I
(04:27):
had something else, something else? What a rebound honey, because
wasn't she with like, please put some respect on his name.
Brian Austin Green from not Beverly Hills nine O, two
and O for the wash people in the back and
now see what a man with tattoos all over his body?
They'm not gonna be together long? Oh no, well I
(04:48):
don't know what. So she's thirty four, he's thirty. Oh
I didn't realize he was thirty. Okay, so they're they're
pretty close in age, so they're yeah, well four years.
When you're a woman and you date any one who's
younger than you, get tired of doing it. Yeah, you
get tired. But also you can control them. Like but
the older women know, if you get you a little baby,
you can be like, come on, baby, you don't sit
(05:10):
in here, like do what I said. And I'm like,
I'm the baby, tell me what to do. That's funny, though,
because I feel like every older woman I messed with
they got rid of me real quick because he was
giving him a little three ll up. They legs. You know,
you weren't gonna stay around, I know, and they're like, honestly,
they're like, he's like they're like, I'm kind of older
and he's like in college and like I need to
go out and he has no money. So sorry, I
(05:33):
definitely see you dating older women in your youth. Like
that makes so much sense because I'm like, I'm like, yeah,
I'm an old spirit, you know, girl, Like I'm like that,
like your whole life is like Lana's already nostalgia, Like
your life is what Laana Ray lies about her life
being right right right right. Oh man, man, video games
would be way different if I wrote that song. Here's
(05:55):
the last thing I have to say about Who's Going
is that I always felt bad for her because she's
so Megan Fox was so beautiful, and I always felt
bad for her because I guess she has like these
little weird thumbs, Like friends and people used to fucking
zoom in on photos of her films. Like it's just
peak toxic masculinity, you know what I mean. You take
(06:16):
someone who is like you're looking at them like this
is the most beautiful woman on the planet, according to
media is telling us, and then it's me like, well,
I gotta find something wrong those thumbs. They gotta go
zoom in on her thumbs. So that they can feel
good about themselves. Well, you know they're going to make
a lovely divorce in the future. Yeah, I don't think
(06:37):
they'll get married. I think she's probably just on the rebound.
She was married, she's not married, and the way she
was kind of like they were quarantined, but she was
just doing her own thing. Like it feels like, I mean, look,
I don't know. I'll have to I'm going to educate
myself more in their relationship before I jumped to any conclusions.
So fox Hive doesn't come from me. Actually, you just
speculate with no information. Yeah, absolutely, and as we should
(07:00):
do as podcasters. Next up, Regina King, Ray Zendea, Jeremy Pope.
There's a lot of there's a lot of people trend
in because of the Emmy nominations. I personally am it's
so nice to see Regina King. I hope she wins.
Watchmen great, give them everything. I think how many nomin
dominations did you say they got? Lacey? Wow? Honestly, the
(07:24):
Emmys were like, I mean, do we even need to
have a show. We could just mail the ease to y'all,
Like yeah, really, They're like, I don't know if they
gave him a nomination for everything. They're like sound craft services,
like yeah, stinkiest p a like stinkiest who had the
best ending credits? Y'all credits look cute as fun. We're
gonna give you em for that, like a made up
(07:48):
category like what's your name? Rachel? Oh, you get an
Emmy best name? Rachel? Okay, Emmy. Yeah. I mean look
all the way from you Tube to here Tube to
the regular tubes. It's always nice to see all these
people winning. How do we feel black How do we
(08:08):
feel about Zendia on Euphoria? I think I think we
have some thoughts. She was great, she was good. Here's
here's the issue. Was it the range though that we needed?
If Hunter Schaeffer had been nominated as well, I don't
think I would feel as bad about the Zendeia thing
because I think like Zendia is like one of the
most magnetic beautiful people. I can look at Zendia, look
(08:32):
at paint dry, and just look at her for hours,
like she's freaking gorgeous, and um, I think she's super talented.
But Hunter Schaeffer, for me on Euphoria was just doing
mad work, like she was killing it. So for me,
it was like her getting snubbed and it's just going
to Zendeia. For me felt like one of those celebrity
like jerk off moments where it's like you're the famous
(08:53):
pretty girl, so we'll give you the nomination because the
show's about you, Whereas like Hunter, Schaefer actually had so
much range, she was so dynamic, Whereas I felt like
Sendaia just honestly red like she was on Heroin the
whole time, like just so sleepy. Yeah, she it's there.
Her character Jules in like Euphoria definitely had like the
(09:15):
most provided someone, like the best arcs and tension and
there's a lot to mine I think as a character.
But you also Hunter as a model, and this was
like one of her first acting roles because I think
it's her actual very first acting role ever ever ever
bodied it come on, now, come on now, give it
(09:36):
to everybody though, but look like season day when you
know what I mean, Listen, I'm always rooting for everybody black,
and I'm always going to be reading for Zendaia because
I've heard from people who've worked with her. Um I
haven't had the problems to work with her yet, but
people that I know who've worked with her. She's like
a constant professional. She's a really sweet person. She's very kind,
and she's very smart. So I'm always gonna be rooting
for a black queen. So if we're ever going off
(09:57):
the art of just the thespian, I think the thespian skills,
I have to say, you know, I think I was
a little bit more moved by Jules. Jules is super moving,
like she Oh, it was just such a complicated character
and she played it with such authenticity that it was
just like it was just breathtaking. So, you know, shout
out to Hunter Shaffer. We love you girl. We don't
(10:18):
know why the Emmies didn't. That's why you got to
give out the scammis you know what I mean? I'm
gonna give out the scam. Okay, I'm gonna I'm amility.
You start to send me your bank account, unter, send
me your bank account. You're gonna send them They're like, look,
they're about worth the savings and that ship, so don't
just will extract money from your account for ship and handling,
(10:39):
which will be about ten grand. Yeah, I know you
got it. Come on, I se I know what those
sagmentimums are don't play with met Hbo and it's a
one hour okay, so it actually just went up. So say,
I just want to say this before while we're on
this conversation, that the Emmies calendar is like from June.
(11:00):
The show has to premiere from June one to May
thirty one to be able to qualify for the Emmys.
So if you're thinking about shows like I May Destroy You,
which obviously is like so transformative. I love MICHAELA. Cole,
I literally lived for her. Um if you're thinking about
shows like that, like, just know that Big Little Lies
did come out a while ago, but it still falls
(11:22):
within that period. And that's why you're seeing older shows
on the Emmy's nomination list, and that's why you're not
seeing newer shows. So don't think that those shows got shaded.
They're just like they have to wait their turn. It's
going to be another year, yeah, and they'll get theirs.
But I think that's why they a lot of people,
I'm sure they look at the calendar just like they
do in movies and being like, okay, is this the
year we want to do? Okay, so we push it
a little bit. That way we're not dealing with these
(11:43):
shows that just came out. Because the drama categories this year, Oh,
they're a bit like comedy, it's very soft, like it's
just like nobody was really doing great comedies. But drama,
we're talking like, okay, limited series, drama alone, little fires everywhere,
Miss America, Watchman. They're all in a category up against
(12:05):
each other, and that's not just it. And then you're
talking regular dramas. You got succession, you got like there's
it's a great fucking year for drama. Like these categories
are honestly a little impossible. Yeah, like like you got
Laura Dern you guys, I feel like what in comedy,
Like Ramy is like the one thing I can just say,
like instinctively, like I'm like, I feel like they have
(12:29):
that has to be nominated. I'm sure it was. I
didn't even look through there, but Rammy is nominated and
it's now the first Muslim show to ever be nominated
for an Emmy, and that was a big thing. Uh.
Here's the thing about Ramy though, it feels like Brooklyn
nin nine to me, where I feel like people are
just like watch the show, come on, watch it, Like
I feel like it's very much like the studio has
a lot of power. You know, it depends on how
(12:51):
you got Yeah. I just got into it because I know,
and it was like check it out. Uh, And then
I watched it and I was like, oh fuck yeah.
And then like then like the seid can Dairy wave
hit where I think it sort of reached that tipping
point where a lot of people have watched it. I
haven't seen the second season yet, which I know it
is just as good everybody's saying, so I gotta watch.
And one last thing about the Emmys before we move on,
(13:12):
another big snub Reese Witherspoon. It's trending right now. The
internet is not happy on Twitter about Reese Witherspoon being
nominated for an Emmy. Wait for a little fires, yes
and you believe good. Oh. I don't know why. When
I watched it, I just like sort of looked at
(13:33):
her as like an actual, just like white person in
reality who I didn't want to do. I was like,
and maybe that's why it's good acting. But Miles, you
have to, okay, you have to take into account that
Reese Witherspoon and are friends. Okay, anybody Beyonce approved anybody
who gets an Ivy park if you got the box
with the rack, not just a little the cardboard box
(13:53):
of full on the box box. And she did a
whole video. She don't get no money for promoting Briance brand.
That's just how much she love. We're doing a whole video.
I'm gonna come out in the box in different outfits.
I was like, Grace, you are my sis. I love you.
So when I saw her being this super problematic white woman,
I was like, I know that's not who she is
in real life, and damn is killing And that's range
(14:14):
right there, because this woman I'm seeing on the screen
would not be fucking with Beyonce, like I know, she
would be jealous of you, support our queen. So I
do think that they're wrong. I think that the Emmies
are wrong for not giving Reese that not because she
was so good. Again a scammy, that's really what it is.
Then send her, send me your addressing, the last four
(14:37):
of your social uh, and the street that you were
born on, Thank you so much. And then lastly, Bailey Island,
Maine is trending because there was apparently a shark attack
uh where someone died in a shark attack off the
coast of Maine. So that's why that is trending, and
that is very very very unfortunate and freaky. I fucking
(14:57):
hate the idea of sharks and ship. Like sometimes when
you're getting that ocean water, if I can't feel the bottom,
sometimes I'm like, the sharks are just the right there, bro,
they're laughing at me, laughing at you. Also, I will say, guys,
you have to watch. Obviously, shark attacks are like this
kind of weird, rare thing that unfortunately some people are unlucky.
(15:18):
But there has been an influx of them happening because
there isn't as much foot traffic on beaches because of COVID,
So if you live near a beach, it's been they've
they've been talking about it, at least in Los Angeles,
where like the shark attacks have kind of gone up
because the sharks are swimming closer to shore than they
normally would because they're like where they are, where they are,
where they are where they there's normally tons of surfers
(15:39):
and swimmers, so that's kind of always pushed the wildlife
back and with COVID and the beach is being empty
for so long. Now the sharks are just like up
on the So just pull up with some underwater speakers
along the coast and blast Rick Ross, Chevy Ride and
High Remix would push a t okay because if he
claimed king and he claimed best, then I guess you
can call me God great opening Ryan from that song. Uh.
(16:02):
Thank you so much Lacy for joining me today. Uh,
and I guess I'll maybe checking with you tomorrow. Who's
who a little more exite geist? All right, until then,
you'll be well be safe between wash your hands, wear
a mask, uh, and kick white supremacy and ask if
you talk to soon a
