Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello the Internet, and welcome to this episode of Zightning
Round Squish everybody where prices are doubled, no points are doubled.
What fun at the end of the week. I'm JACKO Brian,
that's Jamie Loftus and Dji. That's the noise that just

(00:22):
comes out of Dan's mouth is an airhorn. My entire
brand is sounded fac Yeah. Um, let's tell the people
what's trending? Uh? First, so, fellow kids, what is trending? Yeah,
turn my chair around and sit on it backwards. All right,
we've all done that, and Vin Man is trending. Also,

(00:45):
Vinman is a hero I think you misspelled is a
sucker because this America, this is the country. Oh sorry,
this is a quote from him. Sorry, uh, this America,
this is the tree. I have served and defended that
all my brothers have served. And here right matters? Yeah, okay, dummy,

(01:07):
nice try no. Obviously, so he got he got escorted
out of the White House because he bad. He did
the he said the true thing about Trump and that's
not a lab Yeah. He also got hashtag Vinman is
a hero. Yeah. Yeah. His twin brother, you have Getty,

(01:29):
also escorted from the White house. He's a twin. Yeah, creepy.
That's creepy. I mean it's creepy. It's also the beginning
of a lot of really dangerous stuff that I think
is going to be coming in the next four or
five months. That Vinman is merely the first shoe to drop,
and it's horrifying. Yeah, it really is. I mean, this
is it's gonna be like a slow motion night of

(01:54):
Crystal Knocked. Is that what it was called? Where the
nuts he's just like went and killed all their uh,
killed all their enemies and their business fun stuff. Yeah.
Oh wait, now Crystal Knock is the That's when we
smashed all the all the windows, and then there was
the Night of Long Knives. I think that was the
night they killed all their enemies. I feel like such

(02:17):
a fool um When char says he's a patriot, I'm
just like the trending, thank goodness. And by the yeah,
that's right, I'm saying that Clopa Chart is a hero.
By the transitive property. Yeah, if you call someone else

(02:38):
a patriot, you in turn our pot. Yes, um, Pete's
billionaires is trending. Uh because yeah, so this is something
I didn't know. By the way, Bernie's people good at
good at getting the word out about you know, they're

(02:58):
they're good at messaging things. Um, so they're in. Yeah,
they're logged in. They know how they they're good at
the hey fellow kids stuff. So yeah, that was well
put by me. Uh. So there was an article in
the New York Times about how scared the donor class

(03:20):
okay million in billionaires in San Francisco were about Bernie
potentially winning the nomination, and so they had a meeting
with them in San Francisco, and the person Leah Daughtry,
former Democratic Party official Chris Daughtry's niece. Yes, of course,

(03:42):
uh said, Uh, I think I freaked them out when
she mentioned Bernie being the nominee. She recalled with a chuckle. Uh,
and then that that assessment was confirmed by three other attendees. Uh,
they are hardly alone. And then they talked about how
there there have been meetings about specifically what to do

(04:04):
about Bernie among Democrats and some of the people who
had attended those gatherings with these big donors are spear
Nancy Pelosi. Yeah, Rimp, she owned him though, you got
she clapped and know whoever told her what a gift

(04:27):
is should go to jail. Governor Terry mccauliffe of Virginia,
I don't know what sound effect to make for him.
And Mayor Pete Buddha Edge of South Indiana himself presidential candidate. Dystopian. Yeah,
this is dystopian, this is god and it's like none

(04:47):
of this is like super surprising. I mean, I mean,
I'm glad, I'm glad the information is at least out there.
The Bernie campaign did a pretty good job of making
that like little collage of Pete's billionaires and also I like,
you know, almost framing it a little bit of Charlie's angels.
I would watch a network. Well that's the thing. I

(05:10):
read an article that was like, maybe Bernie Sanders isn't
the guaranteed death for the Democratic Party that everybody assumes,
and like that he maybe he wouldn't automatically lose to
Trump if he was the nominee, And it was like
it was written by a person who was seriously considering
this for the first time. The one other thing I
mentioned was like he has people on his team who

(05:31):
are good memurs and like good at the internet. Shocking,
and yeah, they they it hadn't occurred to them. They're
like the same way that Trump has trolls on his team.
Bernie might too. Maybe that would be beneficial in a
modern election um, which shocking. Yeah, if, like if one

(05:54):
of the other Democratic candidates had tried to do a
thing about like Pete's millionaires or billionaires, like, I feel
like they would have added some weird slang term or
something that would have made it awkward. But you know,
because Bernie sanders Is supporters are themselves masses simple Pete's

(06:18):
billionaires and it but it worked. It was very effective. Yeah,
and god, I mean, a shady week for Mr Budda Jedge.
I know I'm seriously considering not voting for him, like
started with the shadow up just like, yeah, I feel
bad because I mentioned Pete Buda Judge like a year

(06:40):
and a half ago as a potential Democratic candidate. I
started all of this, you guys, it was all you Yeah, listen,
we were all in a very different place a year.
That was definitely the truth. I also think it's weird that,
you know, when it comes to our approach to comedy
in politics, we talked about on the daily, how was it.
I'd like to see your hair in a blizzard that

(07:01):
I'd like to see your hair in a blizzard. Remember
oh the joke teller Amy club Commedia Amy clochar So.
I started this campaign in a blizzard and I said
to Donald Trump, I'd like to see your hair in
a blizzard. It's you know, it's will roaster all we
want for that. But it's good material. There's this weird

(07:24):
democratic attachment to It's like, why do we have this
weird attachment to needing bad material when it's like, oh,
we're using memers? Like how is that that's that's above board,
that's below, you know below watch to use memers. It's
like that, that's comedy. That's how it works these days. Yeah,
and I mean yeah Trump. Like one of the big

(07:47):
things Trump has in his one of the arrows he
has in his quiver a weird phrase I hadn't just said,
I don't. I don't like it any more than you do.
I'm going to bleep that word out, yeah, thank you,
is that he makes his supporters laugh like that's a

(08:10):
they think he's hilarious. So um. I mean, as as
all businesses are multifaceted, politics happened to be multifaceted as well.
And adding a little humor is not the worst thing
in the world. Everything you needed to know about uh
politics you could have learned from that Robin Williams movie
with Chris Christopher Walkin where Man of the Year, she's

(08:39):
a comedian. It's like, what if Jon Stewart ran for president?
Fucking so tight it was like Height of the Daily
Show ran for president on we there uh and in
eild it included Christopher Walkin watching Robin william give a

(09:00):
speech and going boom yeah, like just like being uh
sort of dramatizing the act of watching comedy in a
way that was very authentic to me. I always experienced
comedy out loud with booms and yeah and pals. So

(09:21):
Kesha is trending okay because a judge rule that a
text she sent to Lady Gaga it was defamatory. Um
yeah it God, I just I feel so deeply for
I mean, Kesha has been uh in and out of

(09:43):
court for Dr Luke related things for years. It is
like well documented that he was very abusive towards her,
trapped her in a contract, and this seems like I'm
not super well informed on the hyper specifics of but
I mean, given the nature of the the alleged crimes
Dr Luke has um done to Kesha in the past

(10:06):
versus a defamation suit for texts. Um, it's just like
absurd and I just justice for Kesha. Couldn't agree more.
It's just deeply sad and showing the kind of like
nickel and diming, that we will do to get out
of trouble when the spotlight is you know, due to

(10:27):
money in your favor, like the fact that you have
the power to control these things to your benefit. It's
disgusting and um, I hope more people were aware. Yeah,
and I just I mean she it's just so it's
not a good week for uh women trying to get
justice in court as if it. I mean, it's never
a good week, but it's a particularly bad week. Um.

(10:51):
There was something I read, okay, listen to on a
podcast years ago. It was the Risk, Uh something I
listened to myself say on an old podcast about like
a legal reform to make it more common sense and
less like that, like less uh just based on who

(11:14):
could afford the most expensive lawyer. But like that, that
seems like the sort of thing that you would want
to have the ability for a judge to be like, yeah,
but this guy was horribly abusive to this woman. So
even if in this very specific, hyper focused incident instance,

(11:34):
a text message could be seen as defamatory, like let's
let's just look the other way, let's prosecute the more
serious crime from right. Um yeah, yeah, I mean, because
it's like nothing has happened to Dr Luke, nothing nothing
right now, It's like Kesh is going to get this
like whatever legal slap on the wrist of uh, I

(11:55):
don't know. Uh. And finally we're saying our right, Peter Swagger,
who is the Cleveland Browns mascot, uh, an actual doggie
that they uh that they had as their mascot who
passed away. It's just been a bad it's been a
rough week. Shout out to all the Zeke gang who

(12:18):
reached out about my doggie passing. Uh. And it seems
like a lot of people are going through a similar
thing right now. Um, so yeah, shouts out to you
guys if if you've recently lost a pet. It's it's
very difficult, but I appreciate your your well wishes and yeah,

(12:39):
don't be ashamed of it. Just talk to people, talk
to your friends about it. It's okay to be sad
about your dog dying. You feel your feelings. Uh. So
on that note, let's end this week of podcasts uh
somber into another great week, the only somber thing that

(13:01):
we talked about all weeks. So all good, Uh, Dan,
thank you for appearing on Mike in this episode and
for the whole week of non miked work that you
did on the daily as uh and Jamie Loftus, thank
you so much for being here with us. It's always

(13:23):
always great to be here. Jack all right, and we
are gonna go have a weekend. Uh. You go do
the same, and we'll be back on Monday with more podcast.
We'll talk to you then. By did you guys know
the Shadow Like? No one knew what the Shadow app

(13:44):
was before a couple of days ago. Um, and the
Pods of American guys were like the show. I didn't
listen to the full episode because I don't listen to
that show anymore, but they were they were like the
Shadow app or whatever that is there, you know, like, oh,
we just learned about this too. February second two, all
three of the Pods of America guys are at the

(14:04):
CEO of Acronyms. Uh. Like they're at a party with
the CEO of Acronym which owns of the Shadow app.
Knew what it was, uh, And there's so much photo evidence.
It's like three days before it completely fucked the election.
Three hang with the CEO. They're at a bar, they're
all smiling, and it says birthday. Friends. They totally didn't

(14:28):
talk about the app at all. For sure. I didn't
mention it at all times. I guess that. I guess
that Tommy said something like shadow app or whatever the
three days after he's at this person. I don't I
don't know whose birthday it was, but I'm just like okay, yeah, okay, okay, okay,

(14:48):
well okay. And that was a little extra content for
you guys. Had information from Jack Allison Citizen. Yeah. Jack
Allison is really on his ship right now. All over it.
Go watch jah Alright. That's really the end of the podcasts,

(15:11):
and that, my friends, is the end of the podcast
